That longer service life reduces replacement cycles and embodied emissions. Our Seagate Amsterdam team marked the National Day of Service by volunteering at Bornholm elderly centre in Hoofddorp. A team of 19 volunteers came together to support residents and staff, helping create a more welcoming environment for the seniors who call Bornholm home. From removing weeds and pruning, to refreshing soil and tidying outdoor furniture, the team rolled up their sleeves to make a meaningful difference through hands‑on care. In addition to volunteering their time, our Seagate volunteers raised funds and donated much‑needed gardening tools and equipment to help Bornholm maintain their gardens and outdoor spaces moving forward. The day was made even more memorable with a special visit from King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who spent time at Bornholm and joined our volunteers. Their presence was a powerful reminder of the shared spirit of service across the country and the impact of community action.
