  • ⏰ ⏰ ⏰ The clock is ticking on our current recruitment drive for a new hashtag #videographer at NOMADIC UK. 🎥 🎥 🎥 Submit your Passion-themed 60 second video masterpiece by 5pm on 10th April to Amy Holley-Cribbin via email : Amy@nomadic.uk Here's that task again >>> Are you a Videographer/Editor based in Gloucestershire? Or, maybe you're a SuperStar Editor? If you’re an Ambitious Video Industry Professional, then we want to hear from you! In typical NOMADIC UK-style we're approaching recruitment somewhat creatively. If you're interested in becoming one of the team as a VIDEOGRAPHER/Editor, then complete the task outlined below and send it over to us by 5pm on Friday 10 April 2026. If you're successful, then you'll be moved forward to our speed interview (a group recruitment session). We will then select three applicants that morning to interview one-on-one and the successful candidate will be chosen that day. Sounds unusual? Maybe! Still interested? Great! Here's what you need to do: The deadline is 5pm on Friday 10th April to complete the following: Film and edit a 60 second long video on the topic of 'Passion'. Find someone to interview who is passionate about something to give your video meaning. In your video, there must be: - an interview with someone (get them talking to camera), frame up the way you think is most appropriate for an interview - B-Roll (with narration as audio playing over the B-Roll) to enhance your story - a conversation and discussion both visually and verbally, - backing music (we use PremiumBeat, you can create a free account) Feel free to use creative license, go handheld, use existing skills you have BUT stay within the parameters of the set task. Feel free to use any filming equipment you have (iPhone, Sony Mirrorless, Canon, etc.). What you are using/your kit is IRRELEVANT, as the thing that we are interested in is your STORYTELLING ability and whether you can construct a great video with a good narrative, ultimately testing your video editing skills (and to an extent filming skills). We're ideally looking for someone with Da Vinci Resolve and/or Premier Pro editing experience and a couple of years experience, however neither of those are essential!     Last week the Nomads and an extended crew of our trustiest freelancers landed on the The Grand Hotel Birmingham to film for Parallel Blue Global who were bringing about another triumphant event for one of their clients. This SLT, sales-focused event for a Fortune 500 company saw the team filming in numerous spaces across the stunning Victorian hotel capturing a wide range of content from their 2 day programme of events. The 2 days of workshops, key notes and challenges ended with a wrap video featuring the highlights of the 48 hours being played live to the audience who had only moments ago been filmed completing one of the final challenges!
