Predictive retention is no longer “nice to have”. But not all ‘AI’ is useful. Before you invest, ask: 1) What’s the target outcome? (repeat purchase, churn reduction, LTV) 2) What signals drive the prediction? (events, RFM, channel interactions) 3) How often is the model updated? 4) What action happens after the prediction? 5) Can teams explain the ‘why’ behind the score? If your prediction doesn’t trigger an action, it’s just a number. Where are you today: no model / basic RFM / predictive + automation?
