I didn't leave Naidex feeling grateful - I left feeling proud. There's a difference; gratitude says thank you for letting me in. Pride says I belong here. I spoke at the Birmingham NEC last week, delivered my talk via AI voice to a room full of people who didn't need disability explained to them. Nobody tilted their head, and nobody called me brave. Someone came up afterwards and told me it meant something to them. Not that it was inspiring. That it meant something. That's a different word. Inspiration asks nothing of the listener, but meaning does. Here's what I keep thinking about: events like Naidex have spent years getting better at showcasing products for disabled people. The next step is harder, building spaces where disabled people aren't just the audience. But the speakers, the entrepreneurs, the artists, the professionals being taken seriously for the work they do. My cerebral palsy shapes how I move and how I communicate. It doesn't shape what I have to say. Full piece in the comments. #DisabledCreatives #DisabilityInclusion #PublicSpeaking #Naidex #DisabilityAdvocacy

It has been great to see so many Lloyds Business & Commercial colleagues at Naidex 2026, and Elevate, our pitching competition, return for its second year as we continue to back disability‑led businesses with visibility, support and momentum. Unfortunately I missed it this year but Stephanie Maia has done an incredible job of rallying everyone across the Group!   Disabled and neurodivergent founders make up around 25% of the UK’s entrepreneurial population, yet due to persistent structural barriers they generate just 8.6% of small business turnover. This isn’t a gap in talent or ambition - we see that in abundance - it’s a systems gap, and one that, if closed, could generate £230bn for the UK economy. That’s why being headline sponsor of Naidex really matters.   Huge congratulations to Alex Molokwu founder of Loujo as this year’s Elevate winner and Ilinca Georgescu founder of Trem as runner‑up, alongside semi‑finalist runners‑up Auzi® and Noteworthy Access. With over 100 entries, the competition was exceptionally strong.   It’s also fantastic to see the brilliant Pamela Aculey, last year’s winner, now supporting the next cohort as part of the judging panel and with a strong presence within the wider exhibition.   Naidex continues to be an important space for turning intent into action, and I’m proud of the role LBG continues to play.

Congratulations to Lucy Carson and the team at Urathon Europe Ltd on an impressive Naidex 2026.   Lucy said: “We’re most excited to showcase our new range of powerchairs and electric scooters, particularly the Hero powerchair because it’s unlike anything else in the market.   “Naidex has been great. We won the Best in Show Award for our Hero powered wheelchair. I’m super proud of my team who have managed to help us get the award. It is a team effort: from the sourcing of the product, purchasing it, paying for it, and showing it at an event. Every single one of my team members are attributable for getting this award, so a massive thanks to my team.”   A brilliant result, and a strong reflection of the teamwork, innovation and commitment on display from BHTA members across the event. Great to spend an afternoon at Naidex yesterday. It’s great to see how brands and industries are out there openly discussing both their hiring and customer initiatives. All of this mixed in with assistive tech solutions and services. It was particularly great to spend time with Callan Henderson on the Google consumer team (pls tag your colleague!) learning how they prepared for two days of engagement on a topic like #accessibility. Congrats to Ainsley Sykes and Currys plc for pulling this awesome booth of mainstream solutions together. Finally, I got to spend time with Cornel Hrisca-Munn to learn about progress at Blackrock. Fascinating to learn how systems are being built across all three horizons - colleagues, infrastructure and customer. Thanks for sharing notes.

Last week, I had the privilege of leading Currys plc’ presence at Naidex 2026, and I’m incredibly proud of what we built. But more importantly, I’m proud of why we did it. From the outset, my goal was clear: to bring to life what it really means to say, “we help everyone enjoy amazing technology.” Not as a slogan. Not as a statement. But as something people could actually see, experience, and connect with. That meant showing up at Naidex with a very deliberate point of view. We were not there to showcase “accessible tech” as something separate. We were there to highlight something far more powerful: mainstream, everyday technology that happens to be inclusive by design. Products people already recognise. Products already in people’s homes. Products that, when you look closer, are already removing barriers and supporting independence. And when you make that visible, everything changes. Across the two days, we had hundreds of meaningful conversations with disabled attendees, carers, clinicians and support networks. People weren’t just interested, they could immediately see how these products could work for them or for someone they care about. In some cases, people were purchasing there and then. That is impact. And it reinforced something I’ll take away from this experience: accessibility is often not a product problem, it’s a visibility problem. The technology already exists. The opportunity is making it visible, understandable, and relevant. That is exactly why I believed it was so important for Currys to be there. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life. To Ainsley Sykes, thank you for being a brilliant partner on this. We work in completely different parts of the business and had never delivered anything together before, but we were aligned from day one on one shared belief: when technology is accessible by design, it can help level the playing field for disabled people. That alignment made this work. Thank you as well to Dan Rubel for his support, and to the team at The fresh Group for turning a vision into something that genuinely stood out on the floor. To every Currys colleague who showed up and represented us brilliantly, thank you. And to our brand partners, thank you for leaning into this and bringing real expertise and energy to the stand. A special thank you to the teams at BSH (Bosch, Tassimo, Siemens, Neff), Meta, and Google for supporting this and really getting behind the purpose. Naidex is more than an event. It is a space to listen, to learn, and to challenge how we think about inclusion. I’ve come away from it with a lot of pride, a lot of learning, and a very clear view on what comes next. Because this should not be a one-off. There is so much more we can do to make inclusive design visible, understood, and embedded in how we talk about and deliver technology. And I’m incredibly proud of what we built. #Naidex2026 #Accessibility #InclusiveDesign #DisabilityInclusion

What a brilliant few days we had exhibiting at Naidex last week.   It was great to welcome so many people onto our stand, giving them the chance to explore our demo car, see our adaptations in action, and get involved with our boot hoist grabber game, which proved a big hit (and yes, everyone walked away with a prize!).   It was also brilliant to see many of our partners there exhibiting and a great chance to reconnect, share insights, and talk about plans for the rest of the year.   A particular highlight was seeing our Head of Commercial, Bruce Lauder, speaking about Adapt & Drive at the Accessibility Hub on Wednesday, which sparked some really positive conversations throughout the event.   Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, a huge thank you to our team who worked so hard on the stand and, of course, managed to keep me up in the bar afterwards. Your efforts (on all fronts!) were greatly appreciated.   #Naidex #Accessibility #Partnerships #Innovation #AdaptAndDrive

Naidex 2026… what a week. Still buzzing ✨ Last week gave me the opportunity to step into spaces that truly matter. To speak, to connect, to share, and to celebrate how far we’ve all come. I had the privilege of taking part in two powerful panel discussions: 💬 “This Is Us: Generations of Women Struggling to Obtain a Diagnosis” A deeply personal conversation where I shared my journey to an autism and ADHD diagnosis and the added layers that come with being both a woman and a person of colour. Because being finally understood can bring relief and grief for all the years you weren’t. 💬 “Schools White Paper – What does it mean for our children, education system and society?” A topic close to my heart, not only as an autistic woman but as a mother to autistic children. Being able to bring both lived experience and parental perspective into that space felt incredibly important. Having a stand at Naidex? Absolutely EPIC 🙌🏾 To everyone who stopped by to chat, support, and purchase, thank you. It’s always such a joy meeting new people, reconnecting with familiar faces, and sharing what we’ve been building. Our augmented reality children’s book went down a storm 🚀 …and our NEW AR feelings cards? Completely SOLD OUT 😭🔥 Don’t worry, we’re restocking and taking pre-orders. If you want the link (and a cheeky discount code 😉), just drop me a message. I was also incredibly honoured to judge the Naidex Elevate Competition, sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group. As last year’s winner, it felt really special to pass the baton on. Huge congratulations to: 🏆Alex Molokwu - this year’s winner 🥈 Ilinca Georgescu G - runner up 👏🏾 Finalists Yiska ((Jessica)) Ansell (Jessica) Ansell and Auzi® A huge thank you to the teams at Naidex and Lloyds Bank for creating such an important and inclusive space. Events like this genuinely make a difference. And a special thank you to my husband Alex, who designed and brought our stand to life. The vision, the detail, the execution… all him 👏🏾 Honestly, Naidex 2026 was a reminder of so many things, the power of community, the importance of representation, and just how quickly a year flies by. Time moves whether we’re ready or not… so the real question is what we choose to do with it. For me, it’s about using every moment to create impact, open doors, and make space for voices that deserve to be heard. Best sales month EVER. A sold-out stand at Naidex. And turning 24… all in the same week. 🎉 I honestly don’t think I’ve had a week like this before. Naidex completely blew us away, it was busy last year but this time the Intotum stand was non-stop. But what really stood out was the number of people who came to see us specifically. So many people told us they’d seen Intotum everywhere - on social media, through our brand ambassadors or already had some of our pieces and had been waiting to see it all in real life. 🙌 And that’s exactly why in-person events matter so much to me. Our community needs to feel clothing, to experience it properly, and to know it’s sensory-friendly, label-free, and actually works for their bodies (it does!) Seeing that trust already built before people even reached the stand made me realise we’ve really achieved one of our biggest goals: building brand recognition and trust. All the strategy, the courses I’ve done, and the consistency are starting to click - we’ve found our groove.💃 We also soft-launched our adaptive denim exclusively at Naidex ahead of its official launch last Friday, and the response was unreal. Yes, it was a lot pulling everything together in one week, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding weeks we’ve ever had. 🚀We’ve just hit our best sales month to date, with orders shipping to new countries and our community growing faster than ever. I also had the chance to speak on a panel about adaptive design, alongside the incredible Nick Singh Amy Pohl Millie Flemington-Clare and Dr Shani Dhanda where I was asked about metrics. For me, the most important metric will always be impact and Naidex proved that more than ever. The gasps, the smiles, and the number of people who told us they were so glad they found us and love what we do… that’s what success looks like. Accessible design isn’t a tick-box exercise, it has to be your purpose. We’ve put in the work, and this week showed me it’s paying off. Grateful doesn’t even cover it 💛 #Naidex #AdaptiveFashion #DisabilityInclusion #StartupJourney #FoundersStory
