A strong story travels. Following last week’s announcement that Salaera™ was named Halma plc’s 2026 Healthcare Company of the Year, the news was featured across several media outlets, spotlighting a defining year for our business and the technologies behind critical breath and gas applications. As Halma Healthcare Sector CEO Steve Brown noted, “Salaera has had an outstanding year, delivering strong growth and successfully unifying its offerings under a powerful market proposition.” This is just the beginning, and we are excited to build on this momentum. • This Pride Month, we’re celebrating our colleagues in the Pride community and reflecting on what inclusion looks like in action. At Halma, we are committed to building inclusive businesses where everyone feels valued, trusted, and empowered to be their best. That is what drives stronger innovation, better decisions, and higher-performing teams across our group. That commitment is brought to life through Halma’s Impact the Future Fund, which enables our companies to partner with non-profits in their local communities. One example is Firetrace International, a Halma Company’s partnership with one•n•ten, an organisation supporting LGBTQ+ youth and young adults across Arizona. Eight months in, the partnership is already showing what meaningful, long-term impact can look like, demonstrating that allyship is not limited to Pride Month, but should be part of how we support one another every day. The Firetrace team has spent time on the ground learning from one-n-ten, from understanding how to be better allies, to building awareness of inclusive behaviours that shape everyday workplace culture. In turn, Firetrace colleagues have shared their own career journeys, helping young people see what’s possible for their futures. Together, this has led to meaningful action, including: ·A clothing drive to support young people with essential items ·A volunteer day bringing hands-on support from employees to organise supplies for their summer camp programmes ·Ongoing conversations that build understanding and inclusion on both sides And importantly, it’s not stopping there. Later this year, Firetrace will host workshops focused on CV writing and interview preparation, helping equip young people with practical skills to take their next step. We’re proud to see our companies working with organisations like one-n-ten and creating positive impact in their communities. This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the power of inclusion not just in what we say, but in the sustained actions that make allyship real throughout the year.

  • In September 2025 we launched Impact the Future Fund, empowering our companies to support non-profits in their local communities around the world. Since the launch of these partnerships, we’ve already seen what’s possible when our people come together around a shared purpose. These partnerships are delivering impact on multiple fronts: engaging employees through meaningful local involvement, providing vital support to communities in need, and harnessing both our technology and our incredible people to amplify these efforts even further. Working together with trusted non-profit organisations we’re helping to grow a safer, cleaner, and healthier future for everyone, every day.

“This network of leaders is one of our biggest competitive advantages. When we come together across companies, sectors and geographies, we learn faster, see fresh perspectives and unlock new possibilities.” Group CEO, Marc Ronchetti reflects on this week’s Accelerate Halma 2026 conference in Orlando, where more than 300 leaders from across Halma companies came together for three days of learning, conversation and shared experience. It was a powerful reminder of just how valuable this community is, and how the connections made when we come together help our leaders go faster and maximise their potential.

As people live longer, more are living with chronic health conditions that impact their quality of life. Vertebral compression fractures, caused by weakening bones due to osteoporosis or sudden injury, are a significant health concern for elderly people, especially women. These fractures are distressingly common and can cause severe pain, limit mobility and strip away independence. Halma company IZI Medical, is helping change that. IZI’s minimally invasive spinal technologies enable more precise treatment, faster recovery and reduces the risk of complications. In many cases, patients arrive in pain and are able to walk out the same day – pain free. That’s the power of healthcare innovation with impact.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Surgistar, a US-based manufacturer of ophthalmic instruments and devices, for our Healthcare Sector company, MicroSurgical Technology. Based in California, Surgistar designs and manufactures ophthalmic surgical instruments used in eye surgery. Its products are made using highly automated manufacturing processes, helping to deliver consistent quality and sharpness. The acquisition strengthens MST’s surgical ophthalmology offering and supports its long‑term growth. MST and Surgistar combined will leverage their respective strengths and product portfolio to serve their customers and partners better. This acquisition is a practical example of how Halma uses bolt‑on M&A to build on its existing businesses in growing niche markets.

Coastal communities depend on healthy oceans for livelihoods, food security and economic resilience. Yet climate change and environmental pressures are putting these ecosystems at risk.    We visited the Gros Morne region in the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada to explore how Halma company Deep Trekker Inc. is supporting The Atlantic Healthy Oceans Initiative to protect the regional ocean health and the coastal communities tied to it. Deep Trekker’s underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) make underwater environments visible and accessible for the first time. This enables researchers and local organisations to monitor fragile habitats, gather vital data and protect marine ecosystems more effectively.    It’s a powerful example of how technology can support science, sustainability and communities together.
