Counteroffers sound good, but rarely change the reason you started looking. We recently ran a poll asking: “Have you ever accepted a counteroffer from your current employer?” Here’s what you said: 39% said no 31% have never received one 15% accepted 15% considered but declined The takeaway? Most professionals don’t stay, or never get the chance to. A pay rise might fix the short term. It won’t fix progression, culture, or leadership.
