    We are excited to announce the second round of investments from the Sustainable Tourism Impact Fund, a joint partnership between Agoda, WWF-Singapore and UnTours Foundation. 🙌 Our two new investees will receive USD 25,000 in loan capital to scale their impact-driven initiatives. Here’s a little bit about them: 🇮🇩 Livingseas Asia - Livingseas Foundation (Indonesia): A Bali-based organization combining dive tourism with coral reef restoration and marine education. Our investment is supporting the construction of on-site capacity and housing for staff and trainees, increasing capacity for reef restoration, conservation training, and long-term ecosystem recovery. 🇵🇭 Bambike & Bambike Ecotours (Philippines): A social enterprise connecting bamboo agroforestry, ethical manufacturing, and regenerative tourism. With investment from the Fund, Bambike is developing Ligtasin Cove, a bamboo-built coastal destination that will include ecotours, a bamboo nursery for reforestation, and community-led experiences that create jobs while restoring local ecosystems. Alongside these new investments, early results from our first cohort, including Local Alike, Sejiva, and Ecohotels, are already taking shape across Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, from community-based tourism and nature-positive farming approaches to more thoughtful, locally rooted travel experiences that keep value within communities.     🌟 My advice for building confidence as a leader: "If I look back at what’s shaped my confidence as a leader, it hasn’t been knowing everything; it’s been building range. Early in my career, I moved across industries and functions — from market research to innovation to strategy to user insights. That breadth forced me to connect dots others didn’t see, sit with ambiguity, and move forward without a ready-made playbook. Over time, versatility became clarity, and I learned that confidence isn’t loud. It’s built on competence, emotional intelligence, and the belief that every challenge can be figured out. That same belief shapes how I build my team's confidence. I lead with calm clarity, especially in high-pressure moments. I build trust by giving my team real ownership — not performative autonomy, but genuine belief in their judgment. While I encourage my team to step out of their comfort zones, it’s important they feel supported along the way.     “My journey with Agoda began in 2016, when I was planning my wedding in Brazil and received an opportunity to join the search team in Bangkok. At the time, I had never traveled outside Brazil, but the chance to explore Asia and gain new experiences was too good to pass up. After a remote interview process, I moved my wedding earlier and relocated to Bangkok right after getting married. The beginning was challenging as everything was new, but it turned out to be the best decision of my life. Bangkok is a global city with something for everyone. There are endless activities, from exploring malls filled with attractions and great restaurants to taking short road trips to nearby cities for a nature escape. The city’s vibrant food scene and family-friendly activities make it a wonderful place to live with a family. Relocating with family is never easy, but Agoda’s assistance allowed us to focus on adjusting to our new life. For kids, Bangkok offers first-class international schools with a variety of curricula and costs. Agoda also has partnerships with well-recognized schools. Healthcare is another major advantage, with high-end hospitals providing excellent care. My daughter was born at Bumrungrad International Hospital, and the experience was outstanding. Compared to my home country, Brazil, the same amount of money allows for a much greater lifestyle, not just because of lower costs but also due to the variety of choices available.     Ahead of our official move to One Bangkok, we opened the doors of our newest Agoda Bangkok office for Agodans and their loved ones to visit. 🎉 Workshops and fun games were hosted across our seven floors, where visitors could enjoy themselves and collect badges as part of the event. Meeting rooms, workstations, social houses and other facilities (including the games room) were open for everyone to explore and experience.     🌟 My advice for building confidence as a leader: "As the head of a regional legal team, my confidence hasn’t come from having all the answers, but rather from embracing vulnerability and a learning mindset. The pressure to be the subject matter expert on everything is immense – one legal expert can’t know everything in every jurisdiction. My confidence grew when I became comfortable saying, “I don’t know the answer yet, but here is how we will find it.” This shifted my role from the “source of truth” to the “architect of solutions.” I also built confidence by setting clear, achievable short-term goals for my team and delivering on them. Each successful iteration proved that our strategic direction was sound, reinforcing my belief in our collective capability. Building confidence within the team requires granting autonomy. I avoid micromanagement by clearly defining the “what I want” and leaving the “how” to my team members. Even if they stumble, I treat it as a coaching moment rather than a failure.
