About Robert Moore
Robert has been an auto enthusiast his entire life. He started working on cars at a young age, learning the basics from his father in the home garage on the weekends. Over the years, he learned as much as he could about engines, transmissions, and car electrical systems, something that only fed his curiosity more and eventually led him to earn a bachelors degree in automotive technology with a primary focus on engine performance and transmission rebuilding. Today, he's busy studying up on the latest hybrid and EV technology.
Author Details
Robert served as TopSpeed's Managing editor for 8.5 years before taking on the role of Editorial Director for Valnet's automotive portfolio. Today he continues to serve as Editorial Director, overseeing editorial operations on HotCars, CarBuzz, and TopSpeed but also assumes operational responsibility for TopSpeed. His time is spent building out content strategy, automotive communities, and business partnerships.
Industry Focus
Having worked as a mechanic, automotive expert, and most recently (for the last eight years) as the Managing Editor of TopSpeed, Robert has focused on nearly every corner of the automotive world, from American classics to mainstream automobiles, JDM, custom tuning, and everything in between. Today, his focus is largely on mainstream models from all automakers and his focus is starting to lean more toward electric cars.
Favorite Car
Robert doesn't have just one favorite car, but the list includes the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, McLaren F1, 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1990s Acura Legend Coupe, and many, many others.
