Pew pew very good

Definitely a few bugs but feels great, is very fun and love the Alien lore. Anyone that grew up watching "Aliens" is going to love this. I'm sure there's more coming but I'm loving this way more than expected already.

How to make a sequel that its inferior to the original

Wow, what a disappointment! Played on a PS5 Pro with Dual Sense Edge controller. The graphics look like a cheap PS4 game, with choppy cutscenes and some horrendous textures (just to cite some, take a look at the dead bodies, it's a palette saturation nightmare). The weapons and the general combat experience has zero feedback on the controller , it almost feels like spraying water to the Xenomorphs. No real collision physics, zero destructible environments (the only thing your bullets will manage to send flying are the yellow wet floor signs), everything looks flat and monotone without any real detail to make the environments feel wet and disgusting like it should be in an Alien movie. They truly didn't add anything new to the old game, they actually made it worse! I put 200+ hours on the first Fireteam Elite and it was awesome. This one feels like it should have been a DLC . The story too is just cliche', with no real tension and very stupid tactical decisions by the characters. How about adding new enemy factions like human opponents or new game dynamics? They had Alien Romulus and Alien Earth to bring more lore into the equation and, instead, they just repackaged old and tired franchise formulas (they have been experimenting on Xenos! Oh my, the originality...). The only improvements they implemented is animating the characters' mouth when they talk and adding 60 FPS. Oh wait, Fireteam Elite 1 was already 60 FPS on the PS5... I played half of the first mission and I was done. I deleted the game right after. Don't waste your money on this, wait for Alien Isolation 2. Oh, and we can't still turn on or off the flashlight at will, with the characters choosing to walk outside in the dark and only using the light sometimes inside buildings.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

4-Player Co-Op Squad Combat
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.

Xenomorphs That Overwhelm You
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.

The Specialist Class – Play Your Way
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.

Horde Mode – Survive the Swarm
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.
