Reacher’s Neagley Spinoff Gets New Update & Behind-The-Scenes Look From Star

Reacher's upcoming spinoff has earned a promising new update.

Neagley has gotten a new update and behind-the-scenes look from star Maria Sten, who offers a promising teaser for the new action series. The upcoming Neagley spinoff will see Sten reprise her role as the title character, first introduced as Jack Reacher's best friend and fellow former Master sergeant in the 110th Special Investigations Unit. The franchise's first ever spinoff will focus on her investigating the suspicious death of an old friend, leading to an action-packed conspiracy which will see her embroiled in new dangers alongside a set of allies.

Taking to Instagram, Sten posted a video of someone, potentially herself, being lifted high into the air on wires surrounded by blue screens, teasing a major action sequence in Neagley. The actor teased that more information about the spinoff will arrive soon, and that it will push the boundaries for the Reacher franchise. Based on the video, it appears Neagley will be in some major danger, falling a considerable height while battling with whoever her newfound enemies are going to be. Check out the full video below:

Neagley does not yet have a specific release date, but the show is expected to arrive sometime in 2026. While Reacher season 3 ended without many hints as to where the overall franchise is going to go next, the spinoff sounds like it will be self-contained alongside still reliant on the canon of the original show. Alan Ritchson will reprise his role as Reacher in the series, though only in a guest capacity. As for production itself, the show filmed from February 2025 to June 2025, meaning the video posted is likely from around that time frame.

It's one of two projects in the budding shared universe that's now complete. Reacher season 4 wrapped filming in November 2025, also without a release date as of writing. However, Neagley promises to maintain the expectations of action from the original show while also having a series that maintains a unique direction in contrast to the original. This was hinted at in her season 3 action sequences, which required more careful planning and maneuvering in contrast to the physical force Reacher is able to rely upon if anything happens to him.

In addition to Sten's return as Neagley and Ritchson's guest appearance, the main cast of Neagley includes Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. This well-rounded cast will portray a number of heroic and potentially villainous figures in the series, building out a story that's just as investigative as any season of Reacher would be. But, with Sten's character getting the spotlight, the show has a chance to differentiate itself while still reveling in the action, as Sten's video shows.

With the series slated to premiere at some point later this year, it really won't be long until Neagley gets a more concrete update. Although its larger future has yet to be decided, the recent renewal of Reacher season 5 is a good sign the series is going to be a continuous sister show that maintains a strong presence in this newly-born action thriller universe.
