There are quite a few Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and many of them are located in the Wild Zones, a returning mechanic from the modern era of the franchise. These zones are like dedicated areas to catch Pokémon, and contain specific creatures depending on where you are in Lumiose City.

To complete your Pokédex, you'll need to visit them all in some capacity and clear them out. Just know that some Wild Zones have tougher Pokémon to find than others, and as the numerical values of each Wild Zone increase, it will be harder for you to catch them.

Finish The Intro To Get Access To Wild Zones

Wild Zone 1 First Person View

As is the case with nearly every Pokémon game, there's an intro of sorts at the start of Pokémon Legends: Z-A that helps familiarize you with the story and the locale. In Z-A, you'll be spending your time inside of Lumiose City, which has Wild Zones inside of it to scour for Pokémon.

Entering a Wild Zone is as easy as walking up and interacting with one of its gates, which has the numerical value of that Wild Zone emblazoned on it. You'll actually encounter the first Wild Zone as part of the game's storyline, so you can't miss it.
