  • The film is visually stunning, the sets, costumes, the way it’s shot & lit are all phenomenal but for me I found the story boring. It didn’t keep me interested, I wasn’t glued to the screen or excited to keep watching, it’s simply not engaging. It feels like they spent all the time, attention & detail on everything except the plot.

  • Interesting, but shares many of the same strengths and weaknesses of Del Toro's other films. Beautiful to look at, but without the moral complexity to make it truly thought provoking. The film believes itself to be profound but comes off as preachy and pretentious and does not allow for the viewer to draw

their own conclusions as the characters enunciate the films ideology ad nauseum.

  • While the story was the same, it was told in a different way, with superior visuals and acting. There were no twists or surprises, but overall, it's enjoyable to watch once.

  • In my opinion movie was actually really good.

Cinematography was stunning, different colours represting different shades of each character is awesome like red for Victor and his mother, green for Elizabeth .

Oscar Issac's character Victor was really amazing to see like his obsession with creating life and Mia Goth's character as Elizabeth was literally wow such a great underappreciated actress.

Finally coming to my most favorite character - The Creature, Jacob Elordi literally nailed it. Creature's acting was literally perfect .

This movie was a easy 8.5/10
