Awards Will Be Given Out Across 16 Categories

The Canadian Game Awards will include several well-known titles and studios that are based in Canada, including Dragon Age: the Veilguard, Balatro, and 1000x Resist, which were also featured in other award shows this past year, including The Game Awards. It also highlights several new names not featured elsewhere, like the unique Metroidvania Biomorph by Lucid Dreams Studio and the beautiful art-based Été by Impossible.

“We are proud to support the Canadian Game Awards and celebrate the incredible achievements of Canada’s gaming community,” said ScreenRant's very own Rob Keyes, Editorial, PR, and Branding director, who also serves as a judge for the annual awards showcase. “Through ScreenRant, we’re committed to amplifying the stories and accomplishments of these talented creators and helping to bring their work to a global audience.”

The newly announced partnership between ScreenRant and the Canadian Game Awards is a chance for Canadian creators to be seen by a much larger audience. This year's nominees include many names that have been overlooked by more global award shows and deserve to be in the spotlight just as much. This includes smaller studios, giving them a leg up and helping them reach a wider audience.

The Canadian show's emphasis on community and local creators extends to non-developer industry members. Besides Esports players and content creators, the Awards show also gives musicians and artists a chance to shine. The 2025 edition of the Canadian Game Awards will be hosted on February 15.
