The leading game industry event in Europe
Informacje
Digital Dragons is Central and Eastern Europe's prime games industry conference addressed to representatives of the digital entertainment sector. The main mission of the conference is extensive promotion of the games sector. The organisers defined the goal as the establishment of a platform of collaboration both for Business to Business (B2B). Thanks to the presence of a vast number of games producers and publishers, venture capital funds, and representatives of the media, the Digital Dragons event provides a perfect opportunity for business contacts, recruiting staff, and launching the promotion of your products. Moreover, it lets you take a glance at the productions from indie developers, and students of Kraków universities and colleges. It is not a coincidence that the Digital Dragons originated nowhere else but in Kraków. The capital of the Małopolska Region is frequently referred to as the Polish Silicon Valley. Kraków attracts the most talented people from all over the country. It is a city known for its academic character and the lively start-up community. Recognised generally the capital of Polish science, culture and technology, Kraków boasts many of Poland’s best universities, institutions of higher technical education, and art colleges. It is also home to the research and development centres of global corporations, including Google, Motorola, IBM, and Nokia Siemens Networks. Developing around them at a very fast pace is the start-up community associated with the IT and games sectors. Companies including CD Projekt Red, GameDesire, Reality Games, Flying Wild Hog and Teyon have their headquarters here.

I haven't made any posts about Digital Dragons yet after the conference and I need some time to gather my thoughts, so while I'm trying to sort and clean up the photos I took these days, I want to drop a small preview of some of the photos I started going through :) Since there are about 1700 photos in total, it will probably take me a few days to go through them all and upload them to Google Drive! For now, I'm tagging those I know in the photos - if you know the rest of the ones I didn't tag, I'd be grateful if you could do it for me :) #DD2026 Andrii Biletskyi Agnieszka Rumińska Digital Dragons Katarzyna Kafis Zielińska Maciej Pawlikowski Grzegorz Wątroba 🔜 Nordic Game Natalia Lorenc

🐉 Digital Dragons 2026: Round Table 🏛️ As part of the Digital Dragons Conference in Kraków, a Round Table dedicated to the development of the Polish video game industry took place on 19 May 2026. The event was attended by representatives of public administration, universities, industry organisations, and gamedev experts. Discussions focused on three key areas: formal education, informal education, and legal issues affecting the sector's development. During the proceedings, various topics were discussed, including: ● Opportunities for support and animation of the gaming community, including students on industry-related courses. ● Mapping events and initiatives created by the gaming industry for the gaming industry (e.g. game jams), coordinated by the Creative Industries Institute. ● Support for R&D projects between universities and the industry, concerning technology as well as "content" innovations. ● Development of gamedev teaching, based on business-university collaboration, internships, as well as student research groups and industry circles. ● Amendment of copyright law for the gaming market, alongside issues related to licensing law. These are merely preliminary proposals, which are expected to take a more concrete shape in the coming days and weeks before being submitted to the relevant entities. 🥇 We invite all institutions interested in joining these efforts to get in touch!

The time for a full summary will come soon, as the Digital Dragons team is taking a deserved break today, but, in the spirit of 'no rest for the wicked', I'd like to share a few thoughts on my part of the DD - conference programme. For the third year running, we have seen an increase in the average rating of the lectures, and this year's edition ended with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5, making the Digital Dragons 2026 sessions the highest rated in the history of our conference. This success was made possible by the 200 speakers at this year's event and the conference's Advisory Board, which oversees the quality of the presentations. It's a real pleasure to work with such an engaged team! I must also mention the Advisory Board responsible for the Audio Track, who work with such energy and creativity every year that you would think their lives depended on the evaluation of the lectures😉 Sometimes they drive me to the brink of madness, but the results are stunning – the Audio Track was the highest rated track this year, and the room dedicated to it was packed. The first item on the list of improvements for 2027 is to move the Music lectures to a larger space. Mariusz Borkowski マリウシ ボルコフスキ, Agnieszka Rumińska, Patryk Scelina 🔜 Gamescom Dev and Krzysztof Lipka - I can't find the words to express how grateful I am for your involvement in this event. I am personally most proud of the fact that, for the first time in the history of Polish gamedev events, the most important players in the market were brought together in one place: PlayStation, Xbox, Steam,Epic Store, GOG, and Nintendo. Most of them decided to lead dedicated sessions for publishers and developers, and the initial feedback we have received indicates that this was a very necessary and anticipated move on our part. None of this would have been possible, though, without the amazing team behind the organization of this event: Anna Krampus-Sepielak, Dawid Szopa, Igor Gałkowski, Krzysztof Szeremeta, Maja Wudarzewska, Kamila Kud, Jakub Mirek, Małgorzata Marzęcka, Barbara Wityńska-Słącz, Michalina Jodłowska, Weronika Lipińska, Martyna Karaś, Michał Gliński - thanks for letting me be part of such a fantastic group 🖤
