At 2026 Convenience and Impulse Retailing Expo, Sean Singh shared a strong case study for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). An Australian convenience retailer recovered 24% of losses and prevented ~$20K in losses per site every year after deploying Auror’s ANPR. The fuel retailers winning against retail crime aren’t doing more. They’re doing things smarter, with better insights, intel, and collaboration. Fuel and convenience retailers face a specific retail crime challenge. Low-value and standalone events can easily get lost in the noise. This makes it crucial for these retailers to have the right tools to help them report quality events, identify and prevent their highest-harm offenders, and better collaborate with other retailers and police. For fuel and convenience retailers, it comes down to three things: 1) Report quality incidents 2) Identify top repeat offenders 3) Know that you don’t have to do it alone The right tech and connected network mean real results, even without a big loss prevention team. #retailcrime #lossprevention #saferstores #strongercommunities

Retail crime is front of mind for all our stores at the moment - it feels like the problem is getting worse than ever, with colleagues being impacted across the country. So it was good to welcome Angela Rayner MP to M&S Ashton Moss, in her constituency, to talk about the work we're doing with Greater Manchester Police and the intelligence-sharing platform Auror. We need to get tools like Auror in the hands of every police force in the country, so we can start to get a grip on the intimidation and violence facing workers across the retail industry.

Great to drop in to Marks and Spencer to speak with Angela Rayner MP about how Auror is making their frontline teams feel safer. Auror Director of Law Enforcement Partnerships UK & Ireland Paul Fagg joined Greater Manchester Police to meet with retail store colleagues to discuss the great work they’re doing to address the brazen, violent, and organized retail crime problem. M&S has reduced in-store violence and aggression by 40% since introducing Auror, and 9 out of 10 workers feel safer thanks to greater visibility of offending and awareness of high harm offenders. “Retail crime is not just about shoplifting. It’s violence, intimidation, and a gateway to serious offending. UK retailers like M&S are doing a fantastic job in coming together with other retailers within the Auror Network to surface the full scale and severity of the retail crime problem we’re up against.” - Paul Fagg #SaferStores #RetailCrime #UK https://hubs.ly/Q049p9Fj0

346% ROI is not an April Fools' joke. Congratulations to Cosentino's Food Stores on their LP transformation! Their LP team knew crime reporting was taking too long and took action. As Chris Vandiver, Director of Loss Prevention, put it: "We had some really raw data that we couldn't really flesh out…We were spending more labor fine-tuning that, trying to get it all lined up together." So they switched to Retail Crime Intelligence. In their first year on Auror, they achieved a 346% return on investment for their LP department. That result didn't happen by accident. It happened because Chris and his team committed fully: every store reporting with 97% of events including images and 99% including descriptors. Here's what year one looks like when a great LP team gets access to the Auror Network: → 346% ROI → 90%+ reduction in event reporting time → 15 out of 20 top POIs kept out of stores → Complete case files securely delivered to law enforcement Cosentino's is proof that when a dedicated LP team joins a network built for outcomes, the results speak for themselves. They committed 122 retail crime events without being caught. Then they tried to steal a pram. A prolific repeat offender in New Zealand loaded a pram with NZ$1,688 worth of nursery and bedding items and walked out of the store. A team member reported the incident to police in Auror with a full account and clear footage. Officers made the arrest and recovered $800 worth of stolen goods, including the pram. When police connected the intelligence, they linked this person to a total of 122 events and $25K+ in total stolen value. One thorough report started it. 122 events worth of intelligence finished it. Well done to the store team who reported completely and directly. That report made this outcome possible. Outcome overview: 🇳🇿 Region: New Zealand 👩⚖️ Outcome: Prolific repeat offender arrested, $800 in stolen goods recovered including the pram 🌐 Network effect: Thorough reporting connected 122 retail crime events across the network 💰 Impact: $25K+ in total stolen value across 122 events 🔍 Key solution: Auror Intel #AurorNetwork #retailsafety #lossprevention #saferstores #strongercommunities

Proud to share Auror was named Most Engaged Solution Partner by the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) last week for our ongoing work with retailers and law enforcement to take on organized retail crime in the United States through evidence-based strategies. This is also a reflection of the great work our partners are doing to report events and work collaboratively to solve them. Tackling organized retail crime takes a network. “It’s a privilege to be working alongside our great partners to find solutions and focus on the top 10% of offenders responsible for almost 70% of retail crime in the US,” - Raul O. Aguilar, Auror Head of Law Enforcement for the Americas, and former HSI Deputy Assistant Director responsible for taking down transnational organized crime Read more: https://hubs.ly/Q048yRMG0 #SaferStores #StrongerCommunities #AurorNetwork #LossPrevention Read Hayes, PhD Cory Lowe, PhD

Reducing retail crime isn’t something retailers can do alone. Keeping frontline retail teams safe and preventing incidents only works when everyone in the community plays their part in sharing the right information at the right time, to the right people. The challenge has been making that seamless and easy. Turning incident information into actionable intelligence, and getting that intelligence to police quickly and consistently, has historically been marred by time-consuming, manual, and fragmented case management processes. Auror is the platform that makes community-led crime prevention a reality. It bridges the gap between what retailers are reporting, and providing the right intel to police efficiently and at scale. When retailers and police can collaborate on high-harm offenders, reducing retail crime, especially violent retail crime, becomes a lot more achievable. That's a wrap on LPRC Impact 2026. 🐊 Gainesville delivered. Over the three days of research-backed conversations with loss prevention and law enforcement leaders, we heard a lot about what it takes to move from reactive to proactive, and it reinforced why shared intelligence matters. Teams that can connect patterns across stores, retailers, and jurisdictions are building stronger cases and driving better outcomes. And we're proud to share that Auror was named LPRC's 2025 Most Engaged Solution Partner Org. 🏆 An honor we don't take lightly. Thank you to the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) team for another incredible event, and to everyone who stopped by Booth #110. And a huge See you next year! #LPRCImpact #Auror #RetailCrime #ORC #LossPrevention #AssetProtection
