Now open again in the heart of the city, the 1,475-square-meter store brings together immersive displays, personalized services and a broad mix of performance and lifestyle gear, creating a more engaging way to shop and experience sport in one space. From athlete-worn icons on display to services like Nike By You and Jersey By You, the space puts customization and storytelling front and center. “Seeing Nike Berlin come to life has been special,” says Laura C., Head Coach, Nike Berlin. “It’s a true jewel in the city, ready to inspire athletes and the community.     Air Max Day started as a simple idea: wear your favorite pair and share why it matters to you. Today at Nike’s Philip H. Knight Campus (PHK), teammates carried that tradition forward, showing up in their favorite Air Max styles and posting photos on social media to celebrate the stories behind them. From classic icons to newer silhouettes, the day has become a reflection of personal style, creativity and connection to a franchise that continues to evolve. “From the first memories of my childhood, Air Max has always connected youth and communities on the streets,” says Ken Holter, Lead, Nike Sportswear Brand Management. “To me, Air Max is about street, love and creativity.” Celebrated each year on March 26 — a nod to the original Air Max 1 launch date in 1987 — the day has grown into a longstanding tradition shaped by the people who wear it.     Alysa Liu isn’t just winning Olympic gold — she’s rewriting what winning looks like. After becoming the youngest U.S. national champion at 13 and stepping away from the sport as a teenager, Liu returned nearly two years later on her own terms to deliver one of the most electrifying seasons in figure skating. It was one defined not just by performance, but by clarity, confidence and joy.     As March Madness kicks into high gear, the Bouncing Marshmallows — a fourth-grade girls basketball team coached by Nike teammate Stephen Grieco, Supply & Inventory Manager, Kids, NA Planning — are wrapping up their season. This was the team’s second year playing together in the Goldenball youth basketball league, Portland Parks & Recreation's largest and longest-running youth sports program. Each year, Goldenball gives nearly 2,600 local kids in third through seventh grade, of all abilities, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop a sense of fair play and build good sportsmanship. As part of its long-term partnership with PPR, Nike also offers coach training led by the Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS). “I learned so much in my coach training,” says Grieco, who started volunteering last year when his daughter Finley expressed both interest in — and hesitation about — playing. “At the start of every season, I tell the girls: ‘There are three things I’m looking for from all of you: 1. Have fun. 2. Be kind to yourself and each other. 3. Be brave, not perfect.’ I encourage them to try dribbling, try passing, try shooting — be brave enough to try everything.” For Grieco, sharing this experience with his daughter, seeing the progress she and her friends have made and watching them fall in love with the sport in real time has been more rewarding than he ever imagined. And having a coach who works at Nike has its perks. At a recent employee event at the Philip H. Knight campus, Grieco picked up a few extra Nike athlete posters to share with the team. “Now Finley has a poster of Caitlin Clark on her wall and says she wants to play professional basketball,” he says. “I don’t care if she ever does but I love that I’ve been able to help inspire her and her teammates to believe in themselves and see that they could do something great, especially together.” Want to support the next generation of athletes?     The madness is here. Starting this week, 64 men’s and women’s college basketball teams will travel all over the country for their shot at the national title. And their superfans will be with them, the ones who pack every home game, yelling every chant and willing their team to victory. That dedication was the inspiration for the latest Nike By You campaign in North America. Nike asked eight universities competing in the tournament to each pick one student whose commitment to the team portrays fandom at its finest. Nike came back to these fans with a prompt: design an Air Force 1 on Nike By You that’s for the ride-or-die fan of their school. The final designs were then sent to the team’s coaches and players to rock during the tournament. The shoe designs are also available to purchase on nike.com, so every superfan can get a piece of the action, no matter where they live. Brenna Burns, Marketing Activations Manager for Nike By You, is part of the team that hosted the experience for the universities’ fans. The Nike By You builder is personal to her. Growing up just 10 minutes away from Nike’s campus, she’d prep for her high school basketball season every year by customizing shoes in her team colors of black and teal blue on NikeiD, which would later become Nike By You. She was joining countless players across the world who treat their pre-season customization like mandatory ritual. In many ways, it’s the closest thing that most people get to being a Nike designer. Empowering that creative freedom is part of what makes Burns' work feel so special. “I remember sitting in computer lab in middle school and high school and going wild with my shoe designs,” says Burns. “Now, in my day job, I get to be the one who encourages people to go all-in on their customizations, drawing out their personal stories through details like colors or inscriptions. It’s nostalgic for me. It’s also empowering. There’s no other company in the entire world that has product customization like we do.     Four decades of Air Max innovation — reimagined in a new silhouette. Meet the Nike Air Liquid Max, a new sportswear design that merges superior comfort with the heritage and experimentation that have defined Air Max since the beginning. Inspired by the bold colors and distinctive toe pads of the poison dart frog, the Liquid Max pairs a futuristic upper with a point-loaded evolution of Nike Air.
