PLAYTOMIC started as a booking platform. It’s becoming something much more social. Pedro Clavería gonzalez shares how the product is evolving to help users not just book courts, but find players and connect, especially in new cities. The next phase of consumer apps may be less about features, and more about experience. AI agents are being explored to make that journey smoother, potentially shifting interactions from clicks to conversations. #AI #Product #ConsumerTech #Playtomic #ConsumerApps

Bullhound Capital is delighted to invest once more in WHOOP, the global leader in human performance. Personalised, preventative health is a critical frontier and what the WHOOP team has built is sector-defining. We have supported the company as it transitions from wearables to a resoundingly powerful health platform with over 2.5 million members around the world. Now, as the company takes its next steps including further global expansion and recruiting to support R&D, we are pleased to continue our support for Will Ahmed and the WHOOP team. As Bullhound Capital Founding Partner Per Roman sees it: "In three decades of backing founders, I’ve rarely seen a product with this level of daily engagement. Will Ahmed hasn't just built a wearable; he’s built a legendary health platform that evolves faster than anything else in the market. Most apps plateau; WHOOP gets smarter every week. Bullhound Capital is proud to stand behind this great company." The number of active satellites has grown from ~2,000 to over 10,000 in just five years, and is expected to increase significantly again over the next decade. LeoLabs, led by Tony Frazier, is focused on building the infrastructure to track what’s happening in orbit — where objects are, where they’re going, and where risks may emerge. As activity in space scales, having that visibility becomes increasingly important. Shahril Hamdan Amanda Cham #SpaceTech #DataInfrastructure #NewSpace #LeoLabs #TechInvesting

It’s hard to be a credible business today without a perspective on AI.” In this clip, Jay Choi, CEO of Typeform, shares how he thinks about AI through two lenses: defense and offense. Defensively: how do you respond when tools like ChatGPT reshape user behaviour? Offensively: how do you use AI to accelerate your product and operations? How are you thinking about AI? Is your AI strategy reactive, or intentional? Shahril Hamdan Amanda Cham #AI #SaaS #ProductStrategy #Typeform #TechLeadership

Bigdata.com is building the data backbone for AI agents. In this clip, Armando Gonzalez, Founder & CEO of RavenPack shares his view that AI systems must be grounded in trustworthy, accurate, real-time information, and embedded with real business logic. While much of the attention is on large language models, durable advantage comes from proprietary data. Without that foundation, it’s hard to create meaningful business value with AI. From MENA to Southeast Asia, the past two weeks have been a powerful reminder of how interconnected today’s innovation ecosystem truly is. We began in Doha at the excellent Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) investor offsite, bringing together leading global investors and companies — including three of our portfolio companies: Q-CTRL (Michael Biercuk), d-Matrix (Sid Sheth) and Multiverse Computing (Enrique Lizaso Olmos). At Web Summit Qatar, Ben Prade shared our views on the fundraising landscape and the evolving capital environment for technology companies. We also exchanged perspectives on Europe’s opportunity set with partners across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha. From there, we continued to Malaysia and Singapore, meeting capital allocators, founders, corporates and researchers. Some highlights in SEA: - Hosted intimate gatherings with founders, capital allocators and researchers in KL and Johor where we discussed about the tech and investment landscape in SEA. - A founder roundtable with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and EDBI Pte Ltd where we discussed about building in an AI age. - An Investing in AI session at the Singapore Cricket Club, co-hosted with 42 Wealth Management. - A visit to the Centre for Healthy Longevity at the National University of Singapore, led by Professor Brian Kennedy, to discuss the future of health and longevity science. Longevity is becoming a growing area of interest for us, and we are actively deepening our knowledge as science, AI, and biology converge. We believe this frontier has the potential of defining the next decade of technology investing. Across investor and founder conversations, one theme kept surfacing: is software dead? After years of SaaS-driven growth and abundant capital, the reset is real. Our view is that software isn’t dead but it’s evolving. In an AI-native world, the bar for differentiation is higher, defensibility is deeper, and value increasingly sits at the intersection of software, compute, and science. We are grateful for the time and depth of dialogue, and encouraged by the growing alignment around long-term, global technology investing.
