THE CLIENT +/- 10 person MEP+ firm specializing in Multi-unit residential apartment complexes, mixed-use, and commercial buildings. OVERVIEW Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Team Lead to join our growing MEP engineering team and lead the Electrical engineering department. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a degree in Electrical Engineering and significant experience designing electrical systems for commercial and/or residential building projects. This role will be responsible for leading electrical design efforts, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables. The candidate should have strong technical expertise in building electrical systems and a demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and client relationships. ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for building projects including: power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power in accordance with NEC codes, CA Electrical code, Title 24, and standards • Electrical equipment calcs, selection, and layout of switchgear, transformers, electrical panels and emergency generators • Design recommendations, decisions, planning, delegating, reviewing, and QC of work from junior staff • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and clients • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables • Participate in project meetings and design reviews • Mentor, guide, and supervise junior electrical engineers REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar w/ 8+ yrs experience • REVIT, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP • PE If interested, Please send your resume to: info at Fortify TS dot com.
