Well yes i understand that without moneys there is no games. But I also understand than games that have price should never be free. Discount yes but free? even temporarily? no. People are more inclined to share games they got for free than the ones they paid for. and itchio doesnt have any drm
i kinda regret buying it, on the other side the jumpscares aren´t bad and its worth a play
the thing is just:
when starting the game the gamma is set SO LOW, that even the office is almost pitch black, first try i couldnt even see the lighter on the table, only found it by accident. at first i thought the game was made that dark and i was fuming. cause it wouldve been unplayable. the second you get out of the office it gets even worse you cant see anything. the only thing i found, was the camera. i couldnt find the lighter, nor see where i was going. after pulling the gamma up only a bit i was finally able to actually play this game. so if anyone has the same problem: go to settings and pulling the gamma up only a tiny bit will already help A LOT. but here goes the next thing: i was already past the Cooling compartment riddle, and accidentally got back to main menu, and now i have to completely start over at the beginning of the hospital rooms. thats just.. to be honest, its shitty and kills the fun. specially after the darkness hassle before. and if we were on steam i wouldve gotten a refund asap. no harm, and i dont mean to be mean, but jesus stuff like this is REALLY frustrating. other than that: so far : good game..
Bought the game but it's bugged in the aera where you have to install 2 cameras. I watched the youtube tutorial and did exactly the same but for some reason the wooden box doesn't fly towards me and i see the first zombie but not the second girl zombie(when you look at the doors). The blood on the wall is supposed to be there but it doesn't show in my game. Am i missing files? Why isn't it working?
I thoroughly enjoy playing Ask Games. This one, Beside Myself took about an hour. Pretty good jump scares. Puzzles were reasonable in figuring out. Remind me to try NOT to go to abandoned hospitals...
