If you had told me 7 years ago that we’d be hosting the first-ever World Solitaire Championship in Miami, flying in 400 of the world’s best players... well, I probably would have believed you 😅 From Day 1, we saw ourselves as industry definers. We wanted challenge everything people thought they knew about mobile gaming. Fast forward to this moment: 400 players in a room, focused and playing for real, with months of practice leading to this one second. Watching that level of skill on a world-class stage was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. None of this would be possible without the incredible team that turns these crazy visions into reality. I’m still blown away by the fact that we took Solitaire all the way to a championship stage in Miami. 🌴♠️ We are just getting started.

This week, we made history. When I moved from HR into the business side at Papaya, I knew I wanted to create initiatives that do more than just drive growth- I wanted to bring people together for real. In a world of Zoom fatigue and noise-canceling headphones, we decided to take a leap and launch the World Solitaire Championship. I’ll admit, we were nervous. Could we actually translate an app's immersive magic into a physical ballroom? Would people trust us enough to show up? The answer: Millions competed, but only the top made it to Miami Beach. Looking out at the room, I saw a beautiful, living mosaic: Stay-at-home moms raising incredible families, truck drivers, NYC executives, nurses, and people who flew all the way from Germany and Australia. It was a room full of real people, each carrying a dream far bigger than the game itself. Every player had a vision for their victory: some were playing to fund a degree, others to launch a long-awaited business, and so many hoped to finally take their parents on the trip of a lifetime. As I told the NBC reporter on site: The real prize, according to the players themselves, isn't just the trophy- it’s simply being here, part of this incredible experience. Watching this living, breathing "playground" come to life was a dream come true, and a milestone I’ll never forget. Huge thanks to: Oriel Bachar, for the big vision. Revital Basel for making the impossible happen. David J. Lee and eStars crew, for a true partnership. And our amazing PAPAYA team- the architects behind the magic. This was more than just a tournament. It was history in the making. ✨
