How to change or reset your password
Resetting your password
You can reset your password by asking for a reset link to be sent to you by email or text message. (We can only send text messages if you've added a mobile phone number to your Netflix account.) If you can't use your email or phone number, you might be able to use your credit card information.
Note: If you sign in to Netflix with an email you’ve added to your profile, you don’t have a password and won't be able to reset one with these steps. Go to Can’t sign in to Netflix, or ask the account owner for help if you’re having trouble signing in.
Changing your password
If you know your password and can sign in to Netflix but want to change it, go to the Change password page.
You can’t change your password if a Kids profile is active. Change to another profile first and then change the password.
When choosing a password, it should be:
Different than what you use for any other websites or apps
At least 8 characters long
A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
Not easily guessed - such as “password,” “12345678,” or use any personal information (name, birthday, address)
A password manager can make it easier to keep track of unique passwords.
