What Are Support Gems?
Skills are obtained through skill gems. You'll find these valuable items as you progress in your journey through Path of Exile 2. If you'd like to know more about Skill Gems, refer to the link below.
Support Gems are used to enhance Skill Gems. It's just as the item's moniker implies. You can enhance a skill with up to 5 support gems. Essentially, these gems offer passive bonuses or stat boosts to the skill they are linked to.
Where to Find Support Gems
Just like Skill Gems, you can obtain Support Gems as rewards for quest completion or by obtaining an
Uncut Support Gem as loot from a significant or boss-level enemy. There will be many opportunities to retrieve these enhancements. But use them wisely to maximize their bonus effects.

Ironwood |
Supports Skills which create Totems. Totems created by Supported Skills have additional Elemental Resistances. |

Supports Slam skills, granting them a chance to create patches of Jagged Ground. |
