Like any Forza Horizon game in the past, Forza Horizon 6 contains a staggering number of cars to not only buy at the autoshow but find in the open world. Some of these are in pretty rough shape, but with a good mechanic and someone who knows their cars, they can be road ready in no time.
That is certainly the case with the Treasure Cars, vehicles that have a certain charm to them. They might not be the best in races, but they are icons from the past. Whether it’s a 1969 Dodge Charger or a ’95 Mitsubishi Evo III, there are some excellent finds here. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t tell you exactly where to get these, so that’s why we’re here. There will be light spoilers for those looking to explore Japan on their own.
Review: ASETEK INITIUM Racing Bundle
Diving into the world of sim racing, ASETEK's INITIUM Racing Bundle promises a beginner's wheel experience that quickly elevates beyond expectations.
Tokyo City
Figaro 1991 Nissan
The first treasure car can be found in the main city of Forza Horizon 6. If you look at the small photo, you will notice something very distinct: it’s up against the bay and there’s a bridge in the background. Because of this, you will need to go to the southmost of the city, slightly to the east of the bridge leading to the small island.
Minamino Region
Charger R/T 1969 Dodge
The second treasure car, found in the Minamino region, is northeast of Tokyo City. Head up the highway until you reach a golf course. Continue a little further until you reach what looks like a small convenience store. Behind this store will be the classic Charger ready to be fixed up.
Ohtani Region
RX-7 GSL-SE 1985 Mazda
Going in the opposite direction of the second Treasure Car, head to the northwest of Tokyo City. This will be a little further than the Charger only because the route there is a little more swirly. You can certainly charge through, but you will need to go up some steep hills. Regardless, this is located next to a telecommunications tower directly north of the Showcase you race a giant robot.
Shimanoyama Region
959 1987 Porsche
This gorgeous Porsche is pretty close to the last car, the 1985 Mazda. From where you found the Mazda, head northwest until you reach a small town. There’s not a lot here, but there is the Narai Juku. You will find a small convenience store in this location, and out front will be the Porsche.
Hokubu Region
M1 1981 BMW
This one can be a bit tricky because the only two clues the picture gives is a bridge that leads into a tunnel and scaffolding. It is located almost to the furthest north of the region, with a small road connecting it and the Takashiro region. You’ll have to go off-roading a bit, but follow the tracks until you come across construction, and behind one of the large track pillars will be the BMW.
Takashiro Region
Lancer Evolution III GSR 1995 Mitsubishi
Speaking of which, the Takashiro region Mitsubishi is the next Treasure Car, but it’s not all that close to the last one. It is located to the furthest west of the region, but you should be able to spot it on the map with the off-road tracks. Either come up from the south or jump off the waterfall from the north to find the vehicle.
Sotoyama Region
Stratos HF Stradale 1974 Lancia
As we continue our journey to the north, we will eventually come to the frigid Sotoyama region of the map. This is full of snowy hills, but the one location you’ll want to head to is the northeast. Follow the road from the Takashiro Region until you hit the snowy plains in the east and down the way you’ll come across a small building with the Stratos well hidden behind.
Nangan Region
GT 2005 Ford
A classic right here. The GT 2005 can be found next to the bay overlooking the harbor, based on the initial clue. This is almost at the very tip of the cove all the way to the south-west of Tokyo City. Take one of the dirt tracks south, and you’ll come across it overlooking the city.
Ito Region
Safari Turbo 1985 Nissan
Last, but not least, we have this off-road beast of a vehicle from Nissan. This is found all the way to the north-east of Tokyo City in a more tropical setting. Looking at the map, it’s at the highest point on the mountain overlooking the ocean, right next to a large windmill. You will need to go up some steep hills for this.
