It's that time of year again where the information comes from EA SPORTS for College Football and Madden NFL, and it wasn't always that way. EA has waited a bit longer this year as a new direction is taking place with the two franchises. No longer will there be random drops of information up until the release date. EA has hosted a reveal event on YouTube showcasing everything about both games at once. The development team wanted to differentiate both games into their own distinctive entities as they broke down for those in attendance of a virtual preview. The unfortunate leaks also raised eyebrows for the latest EA MVP+ Membership and some fears involved. Those answers have been provided.

The EA MVP+ Bundle Details

First thins if first to quell any fears and answer some questions. The MVP Bundle that has included both games in the past is still available. Players can pre-order both games and own those games just like they had in the past. You will get seven days early access, as well. This has not changed. The MVP Bundle is still a digital release for both of these games on consoles for this bundle. EA has also confirmed that College Football 27 will be available on PC, and Madden NFL 27 will get updated to the most recent console version, so everything will be the same across platforms.

The MVP Bundle that has included both games in the past is still available.

Now, the new EA MVP+ Bundle is a subscription that is much like a Season Pass that will bring goods to players who opt in. This is also only available to be purchased prior to July 1. This provides early access, and is separate from EA Play subscriptions. Do you get to keep the game? YES. The subscription will end at some point, but when you buy the game, it is separate than the subscription. You can opt to buy both the game and the subscription.

Review: Madden NFL 26

Madden NFL 26 is a culmination of all the additions in recent years to the series and an overhaul of two of its biggest game modes.

The Differences between EA SPORTS College Football and Madden NFL

The development team wanted to provide a pure separation of style and define their goals for each of the titles. While they may exchange or add modes from one or another, each has their own distinct style, as real College Football and the NFL clearly do. EA defines the style of their games in multiple ways. EA SPORTS College Football is more wide open with a focus on looser controls and big play energy. Formations on offense provide a wide variety of concepts along with more spread, tempo and creativity.

Categories for Separating the Two Franchises

  • Gameplay
  • Offense/Defense schemes
  • Line of scrimmage/run lanes
  • AI play
  • Pre-play options
  • Peak superstar levels
  • Crowd Noise implementation

Defense for the College games focuses more on base shells and more zone windows. The trenches allow for bigger run lanes and pure chaos in the box. The AI plays base progressions, allowing for more separation and more mistakes. Stock abilities on the game allows for players to have a maximum of five momentum factors. Finally, College Football will utilize crowd energy as a weapon.

Madden provides faster and tighter professional level precision in its gameplay. Deeper schemes that are more compressed with a focus on strategy at a chess level. Madden allows more disguised looks on defense along with simulated pressures and smarter adjustments. Gap integrity in the trenches needs to be maintained along with pocket battles on every single snap. Madden also has more pre-snap recognition, quarterback surgeons and levels of adaptation. Stars on Madden feel like Stars.

Finally, Madden NFL 27 will be getting a home field advantage back for this year. Noise management and execution under pressure will be a part of that. Both College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27 do make sure that celebrations are available. 50 different inputs for each game will be available for different celebrations.
