Glyph of Warding is an Abjuration Level 3 spell found in Baldur's Gate 3.
Class and Race Restrictions
Glyph of Warding can only be used by the following classes / subclasses:
- Bard
- Wizard
- Cleric
Additional Glyph of Warding information
The Glyph, when cast, creates a trap on the ground that triggers only when someone hostile to the enemy steps on it.
The Glyph can also be triggered immediately by casting it on a space where an enemy is already standing.
Once this happens, everyone in range must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, including anyone from your own party.
If someone passes the Saving Throw, they take half the damage for damaging options, and no effect from non-damaging options.
Only one Glyph can be active at a time, and normal resistances, including sleep resistance/immunity are still in effect when the Glyph triggers.

- Glyph of Warding: Sleep - Puts everyone within range to sleep
- Glyph of Warding: Detonation - Pushes everyone within range
- Glyph of Warding: Thunder - Deals 5d8 Thunder damage to everyone in range
- Glyph of Warding: Lightning - Deals 5d8 Lightning damage to everyone in range
- Glyph of Warding: Fire - Deals 5d8 Fire damage to everyone in range
- Glyph of Warding: Cold - Deals 5d8 Cold damage to everyone in range
- Glyph of Warding: Acid - Deals 5d8 Acid damage to everyone in range
