Like any good open world game, Crimson Desert has the means of fast traveling. Getting around the vast world would be nearly impossible otherwise, as it spans hundreds of kilometers in each direction. It isn’t exactly the most convenient of methods as players will need to unlock specific spots to get around, but it’s better than the alternative.
Still, some of these spots will require a bit of work to get working, like the main camp unlocked early on. We will go over how to unlock this fast travel spot, so you don’t have to constantly run up the tall mountain every time you want to start and end a chapter.
Also to note, you need to have at least started chapter 4 in order to restore this fast travel point.
Establishing Camp
Obviously, the first thing you will need to do is establish your campsite. This is done very early on automatically in chapter 3, where the Hernand kingdom gives you a small plot of land on a hill to the south.
You won’t be able to set up camp otherwise, but instead, you will need to progress to this point in the story before you can unlock this fast travel point. It would be pointless regardless, as this is mainly used to get to and from the campsite where many of the main story quests originate moving forward.
Once you have set up camp, head to the east, and you will notice your own little cabin across the small road. This is where you’re able to build your own little home, but to start off, you will need that teleportation device.
Look to the east of the small cabin and you will see a handful of trees. In between the trees there will be a shrub where, if you use your focus light ability by holding LB+RB and then LB, you will burn the vines to reveal a fast travel point. Unfortunately, this isn’t a complete fast travel spot and needs repairs.
Repairing the Fast Travel Point
In order to repair it, you will need to do a “small” quest for Leon Roberts. His house can be found near the entrance to the castle of Hernand, just outside the biggest mansion in the city, the residence of Alan Serkis. Head up to the second floor and talk to Leon to start a quest that has you clearing out the Karin Quarry that’s being held by an ungodly number of enemies.
Once you have whittled down their numbers and reclaimed the quarry, you will need to operate the crane to lift the top off of an ancient looking structure. Once this is done, jump down to find various Abyss devices attacking you. There will also be a large luminescent looking wall. To break this, you will need to have unlocked the Focus Force Palm ability along the way to Scholastone Academy.
If you have this already, simply strike it down and behind the wall be a floating contraption. This will be an Abyss Transporter that’s “a device for traversing space, and a component that constitutes the Abyss Nexuses.”
Pick this up by grappling it with your Axiom Force and then store it by pressing Y/Triangle. This will go into your Kaku Pot, which is obtained at the start of the fourth chapter. With this in your inventory, head back to camp.
Now that you have the everything, open your Kaku Pot in the inventory and drop the Abyss Teleporter. Grab it and position it on top of the incomplete Abyss Nexus and then do a Force Palm when jumping to slot it in. All you have to do now is step on it to activate it, and you have an easily accessible way to head back to camp.
