Gathering Tools in Hades 2 are special equipment that allows Melinoe to gather all kinds of items as you go through her journey. Gathering Tools are mainly for finding certain resources that will ultimately help you with your dungeon runs. There are four different Gathering Tools in the game. Each one allows you to gather a specific type of item or Reagent. Each one will have its own unlock requirement, but you can only unlock Gathering Tools in general once you've unlocked the feature that allows you to enact incantations from the Cauldron at the Crossroads in between your runs. How to acquire Gathering Tools in Hades 2?
In order to be able to unlock the Gathering Tools, players will have to perform the Night's Craftwork Incantation.
Melinoe can acquire Gathering Tools by interacting with the same pool that possesses the Nocturnal Arms (Weapons), and selecting the second label on the upper left side of the corner. Clicking there will display the Gathering Tools menu and players will be able to select the gathering tool they want to purchase. Do note that each gathering tool has different requirements.
During Early Access, Melinoe could only take 1 Gathering Tool with her, but in the 1.0 version of the game, she takes all 4 of them once they are unlocked.

- Use: Gather from mineral deposits for valuable and more
- How to use: Walk to a mineral deposit or a valid object and interact with it to start collecting. Interact until the deposit is depleted.
- Crafting Cost: x1 Ash
- Gatherable Resources: Adamant, Bronze, Glassrock, Iron, Limestone, Marble, Serpent Scales, Silver.
- Upgrade Recipe: x6 Glassrock, x4 Iron

- Use: Dig for Mystery Seeds and a variety of useful reagents or other items.
- How to use: Walk to a mound of dirt in certain rooms, walk up to it and press the Dig button.
- Crafting Cost: x8 Silver
- Gatherable Resources: Nightshade Seeds, Cattail Seeds, Wheat Seeds, Poppy Seeds, Origin Seeds, Garlic Cloves, Mandrake Seeds, Olive Branches, Plankton, Mystery Seed.
- Upgrade Recipe: x2 Bronze, x2 Mandrake

- Use: Capture river denizens, which can be traded for Bones
- How to use: Walk to fishing spots and wait until you see a more noticeable splash. Press the interact button once more, you'd be able to catch a sea creature. In some cases, a minigame might follow.
It requires you to press the button whenever the fish moves to the middle of the blue circle in the pond. Note that the fish you catch can be sold to the Wretched Broker in exchange for Bones. - Crafting Cost: x1 Bronze, x2 Fate Fabric
