We are proud to announce our Retail in the City series in partnership with Cushman & Wakefield. Europe is ripe with retail opportunities which is why this year we are organising dedicated conference sessions at MAPIC highlighting 12 prime European cities. Each week, we will spotlight one of the key European retail cities giving you a sneak peek on what they have to offer. This week’s highlight is Amsterdam: Amsterdam has a vibrant and densely populated retail landscape, driven by a strong mix of nearly 1 million residents, 10 million annual tourists and 12,000 retail stores. Its prime shopping areas, particularly Kalverstraat, benefit from exceptionally high footfall, strong international brand demand and limited availability, reinforcing Amsterdam’s position as one of Europe’s most attractive retail destinations. What if the smartest retail move isn't a flagship at all? Urban Sophistication — the label worn by Gigi Hadid and the Kardashian-Jenner family — has opened its latest store inside a converted house in Seoul, deliberately sidestepping luxury districts like Dosan Park in favour of a neighbourhood rich in history and creative energy. It's a reminder that presence, not scale, is what makes a store worth visiting. 📖 Read Mark Faithfull 's full interview: http://spkl.io/60487Mc3m #MAPICBlog #RetailInnovation #DestinationRetail #Seoul
