About Jacob Potter
Jacob Potter is an experienced sports writer and editor, and regularly contributes for Football League World.
Jacob graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Sports Journalism.
He's also had experience with the likes of talkSPORT, Eagle Radio, Sky Sports, and The Independent.
Jacob is a passionate Reading FC supporter and season ticket holder. He regularly follows the club up and down the country.
Favorite Sports Team
Reading FC will forever remain Jacob's favourite football team. The Berkshire-based side have had their fair share of turbulent years recently, but hopefully they'll be on their way back to the Championship and Premier League in the not so distant future!
Jacob regularly attends games with his dad, brother, and friends, and has had plenty of great memories supporting the club.
Favorite Sports Moment
It's tough to pick out of the two promotions into the Premier League that Reading earned in their history, but I'd have to pick the title-winning side under Brian McDermott.
Plenty of notable wins during that season, but seeing us beat Southampton at St Mary's was the season-defining moment in front of a sold-out away end.
Absolute carnage amongst the travelling supporters when Adam Le Fondre bagged his brace.
Favorite Player
Jacob's favourite player is former Reading midfielder, Jem Karacan. The Turkish midfielder played a key role in the title-winning season for the Royals, and his passion and drive to go the extra mile cemented his position as Jacob's favourite player.
Aside from Reading players, Jacob is a big fan of Luka Modric and Lionel Messi, who don't need much of an introduction!
