Comparing Bloodborne with DS3 doesn't make much sense, since both are very different games. It is true that the latter was affected by the fact that it was in development at the same time, since the alpha version contains a lot of good ideas which were discarded, but it is still a cool game even today. All this said, it's a shame that Bloodborne doesn't get all the recognition it deserves because of dumb and narrow-minded decisions made by Sony. Imagine not having access to a painting or a movie because a big company says so. It's outrageous.

I shouldn’t have replayed this game because I like it a lot less now lol. I’ve grown way more appreciative of the story and level design, the whole theming really, even more so than I already was. But the gameplay itself, I’d put in the same tier as demons’ souls, ds1, ds2. The better games are sekiro, ds3 and eldin ring. I’m not sharing any critics, I’m not a game maker, i couldn’t say anything that’s not regurgitated from Joseph Anderson. I just think it needs a sequel so badly, get rid of all the dark souls 1 remnants that just make the game worse because of how different it is, the health system is even worse than ds2’s and heavily discourages going about the game in your own manner, makes the game harder if you’re already struggling and easier if you’re already comfortable.

The gameplay isnt nearly as deep enough as in the Soulsgames. That becomes crystal clear if you play BB more than one time. Farming bloodgems doesnt increase the situation either. If I want to play Diablo I play Diablo. The leveldesign is also rather underwelming. Example: The Cainhurst castle could be aswell one of Super Marios Bowsers castles. Just compare that to the Dukes Archive from Ds1 and you realise how simple everything is.
