With only a week left until launch, Nioh 3 fans have been exploring the new demo and sharing thoughts on social media. Early glimpses of combat for Nioh 3 have been celebrated by those still waiting to play, with gamers commenting on the smooth and dynamic pacing of the fights.

The wait for Nioh 3 is nearly over, with the game set to launch on February 5, 2026. To prep for the release, a new demo has been made available on the PlayStation 5 and Steam eShops, allowing players the opportunity to get a head start on early gameplay.

Those who have decided to start exploring in advance have been sharing their experiences on social media, with most citing a smooth, well-built experience.

ARPGs have had some tough launches in recent years, from the turbulent reception of Assassin's Creed: Shadows to frustrations over underdeveloped combat and build options.

While much of this is based specifically on personal engagement with a game, the mixed feedback has caused hiccups for new titles.

However, Nioh 3 seems to have hit it on the head, as players both playing the demo and watching others explore it via video clips are offering widely positive feedback.

Early Nioh 3 Demo Gameplay Celebrated by Fans

In a social media video shared by gaming influencer KAMI, they share a video that shows their character engaging in early combat in Nioh 3. It appears the video was taken during an early point of the demo, as the character doesn't have any specialized armor or weapons.

Despite this, the video displays smooth combat interactions as the player character swings weapons at an enemy, seamlessly switching between what seems to be two different builds.

Kami has stated, "I've been playing the full game exploring everything I can and my biggest suggestion is to hop into the demo now and get used to the new mechanics," pointing out that the gameplay is different from the previous title, and that those who have been keeping up with the series will need to learn some new mechanics.

Nioh 3 fans in the comments have expressed interest and excitement over the split between a character that can jump between Ninja and Samurai classes.

There have also been comments on changes to the block and engagement systems of Nioh 2. Others have commented on how the combat looks "addictive" and how the early videos have sparked their desire to grab the game and play it for themselves on release day.

All Demo gameplay will carry over to the full release on launch, allowing fans to get a head start on learning new combat mechanics and gameplay requirements.
