Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

This page is not for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases:

1. Restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13) or abandoned user subpages of non-contributors (U6)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator.
2. Requesting that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft, to userspace or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting the restoration of a deleted article.

Content deleted after discussion in a deletion process may in some cases be provided to you. However, if you want to dispute the outcome of that discussion and restore the content to its original location, you'll need to open a deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, U7, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11, G12, or G15 be undeleted here.

The plaque picture unfortunately does not show and part of the piece to verify, however the date is also listed here and here with picture of piece. The artist does not assert any copyright on their own site here, and the site that links too (this) (also dated 1977) states "Administered by City of Portland, Metropolitan Arts Commission, Portland, Oregon". Then according to this "Metropolitan Arts Commission, which allowed artists to retain copyrights to their publicly funded artwork" so I would not claim the copyright. But does an artist not appearing to assert their copyright make it PD? I didn't think so at first, but it look like works 'published' before March 1, 1989 are public domain if the copyright was not asserted. So I'm leaning in agreement that this is PD. I am not questioning that this is PD, just that there is no information template, which should indicate the date of the work, what it is and who is the author. Napalm: the Crimson Crisis was 1998 game for Amiga platform. The article was deleted in 2021 due to lack of sources. Game was popular in Europe. Most of sources are non-english.

Game scores very high, with ratings in range 80-100%.

Below are sources mostly from period 1998-2002. Probably, it will be very difficult to find extra sources from this period. I would like to ask, if it is enough for undeletion, or it is just good to stop trying undeletion for this article.

Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. The log entry states "concern was: Fails WP:GNG and also not found any WP:RS", and yet the top results for a search of sheepshaver emulator at Google Books include at least three printed books from major publishers with extensive discussion of SheepShaver:

• A Companion to Digital Art, Christian Paul ed., Wiley 2016, ISBN 9781118475201 (cloth): Chapter 24, "The Nuts and Bolts of Handling Digital Art" by Ben Fino-Radin has a multi-sentence discussion of SheepShaver on p. 529, and notes that it is "incredibly popular within the vintage Macintosh software community".
• Big Book of Apple Hacks by Chris Seibold, O'Reilly 2008, ISBN 9780596529826: Hack 73 (pp. 310-319) is "Run Classic Mac Applications with SheepShaver and Basilisk II"
• Macintosh Windows Integration by John Rizzo, Morgan Kaufmann 1999, ISBN 9780125893251: about half of the "Emulators on UNIX and Other OSes" section (pp. 518-521) is about SheepShaper. pp. 519-20 in particular mostly cover SheepShaver.
