Varré's Bouquet is a Hammer in Elden Ring. The Varré's Bouquet scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity and Arcane and is a good Weapon for blood loss buildup.
A steel mace resembling a charming bouquet of roses. Each petal has a sharpened edge, leaving the roses perpetually colored with blood.
This weapon reflects White Mask Varré's manner of speech rather well, enticing in its splendor, but full of deadly consequence.
Where to Find Varré's Bouquet in Elden Ring
The Varré's Bouquet weapon can be found at the following location:
- Found at the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum, right before the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint site of grace. It is received from White Mask Varré after invading him and depleting his dialogue. [Elden Ring Map here]

AnonymousI've just finished a challenge run where I only used this weapon to beat the base game and DLC. I kid you not, one of the hardest fights was varre because he wouldn't stop spamming catch flame, I had to kill him with poison mist before getting the bouquet. Like all hammers it has great stance damage, but it also does decent raw damage. Its obviously better on bosses that bleed, but I had no problem beating up radagon and elden beast. Not nearly as bad as other people say it is. Also alright on consort radahn.

AnonymousBest Bleed / Sleep / Poison apply stick in the game.
Love to use those greases on this stick to make enemies poison in 2 hits, to sleep in 4 to 5 hits, and to bleed them with the weapon skill
Anonymouscould poison be better than bloodflame on this? It would benefit a lot from the arcane scaling

AnonymousA Bloody Hammer or Occult Spiked Club will have less Bleed build-up and no Bloodflame Blade. They will, however, have about twice the Attack Rating on most builds. And more Ashes of War like Wild Strikes. And slightly more range.

Anonymousdamn this weapon sucks. I spent an entire day in the arena with it, I didnt win a single match. What the fudge is wrong with me.

Anonymousi swear this weapon is really underrated, in pvp at least. the bleed buildup you get at 50 arcane for its speed is crazy especially if you use a drawstring blood grease, at 50 ARC i get 125 bleed add a drawstring blood grease you get 163+ that's the bleed of a colossal! good hyperarnour 2handed and you can also use poison and sleep grease, drawstring preferably. only bad thing about this weapon is the range, stuck with blood tax skill and the damage from the weapon itself but that one doesn't really matter when you deal this much bleed. 11/10 highly recommend.

Anonymoushm this weapon could be cool for my bleed build i said, i went on youtube to see what people have to say about it, its all challenge runs and saying how **** the weapon is... :(

AnonymousAt 80 Arcane, it has 137 Bleed, the highest Bleed in the game for an Arcane build. Other weapons cap at 115.

Anonymous
AnonymousFinally found this on ng7... I normally just kill him at the first step.

Anonymous
AnonymousDoes insane bleed buildup at max arcane. Plus’s it can be buffed so you can slap bloodflame blade on it to get a delicious amount of blood loss on it. Regularly it does terrible physical damage though.

Anonymous
AnonymousVarré’s final words make me think From made this weapon abysmal to match his sarcastic blessing. Love how delivers those lines.
I made a lowborn build that slots greases, blood incants, and Reduvia. Covers all ranges. Mace charge attacks break stance easily, giving you the option to crit with Blade of Mercy + Assassin’s Daggers or heal + inflict status with Blood Tax. Lord of Blood rounds it out.
You can add Smithscript Daggers for more range or a crit weapon to swap into. Lots of fun to take out Bloodfiend hordes, with love <3

Anonymousactually goated greased up at high arc like how varre uses it

Anonymous
AnonymousVery lore accurate weapon, you hit them for small damage till they start busting everywhere.

AnonymousHope Miquella likes me if I meet him with it.
Oh, and Malenia too.
AnonymousThe only other Somber Weapon beside the Bloodhound's Fang that can be buffed

AnonymousI enjoy using this in the off-hand paired with the bloody helice. gives me some nice quick swipes between helice pokes to really ramp up the bleed procs to trigger lord of blood/white mask's effect to follow up with a nice strong helice poke. Also a bit easier to swipe at chaff when on torrent.
Being drippy is icing on the cake. And who doesn't like icing?
Anonymous
AnonymousHmm, it's a hammer, so... you could dual-wield it along with a morning star... good. 65 of bleeding in the bouquet, 50 or 55 in the morning star. Hitting enemies with L1 would be interesting. The morning star physical damage and poise damage would fullfill the leak of damage in the bouquet. You can still infuse the morning star with blood fire and the bouquet with a blood grease. Just perfect to drawn yourself in the enemies blood.

Anonymous
AnonymousAfter the ripple blade and ripple Cresent halberd were nerfed, this has more status affect buildup. (Still has less AR than the reduvia.)

AnonymousAfter doing some math and testing, I think this weapon only has 1 real flaw in pvp, and it isn't the damage. The range is horrible, making it ridiculously tough to actually apply pressure. When this weapon works and you have Blood Grease applied with 80 Arcane, you will consistently be dealing 200 Bleed buildup per hit. That means every other hit is a Bleed proc. If you consider the consistent Bleeds, and you deal around 120 per hit after defenses, this means the Bouquet is actually dealing about 362 per hit after calculating Bleed procs. Many weapons with similar speeds wish they could deal that much damage, but this is truly bottlenecked by the range. Giving it more damage will not fix it, only a buff to it's hitbox will help. In pve, rising Bleed resistance is the hard wall this weapon faces, as range is less of a factor, additionally making it worthless against immune enemies.

AnonymousErm... what the sigma.... what was From thinking with this lmao. Very strange weapon, indeed! No high horse ahead!

AnonymousFeels like this one is meant to use more the Bleed Greases, Bloodflame incantation, and even some Sleep/Rot greases to try to play like a hammer type of Ripple Blade.
But if there are any other suggestions, I'd like to hear too, since I'm not really sure if I'm using this weapon efficiently.
Anonymousthis wins the award for "worst ar at max level for a somber weapon" (according to tarnished.dev's weapon ar calculator) only losing to occult erdsteel dagger for worst weapon at max level period, congratulations, i guess

Starting bandit class, outer god heirloom, lamenter transformation, blood grease, lvl 10. Gotta impress some Limgrave ladies

AnonymousDamn you're really bad at making videos, sending me on wild goose chases every god damn time.

AnonymousNo need for a buff. This is meant to be used alongside all of the status buffs at the same time. Begin an encounter with one bout of Blood Tax with Poison or Frost Armament, then Bloodflame Blade until the thing is dead. Trivializes npc encounters.
However, anything immune or 600-resist in a stat is almost impossible to kill, including Ancestor Spirits.
AnonymousThis weapon needs a buff. They nerf bleed target at rivers, hammer targeted nerf for Marika's Hammer, as well as the dragon communion seal which combo ed with is was nerfed to oblivion. All this to say this weapon has been indirectly nerfed on 3 major occasions. It needs a major buff to be remotely playable.

Anonymous
AnonymousIt's name seams like 'Boquete do Varré'... I didn't like that.

AnonymousI don't really understand why that note about Bloodflame Blade is there. BB's page already shows it only adds bloodflame, not innate bleed buildup. It almost seems written to imply that you SHOULDN'T buff Varre's Bouquet with bloodflame...which is absolutely bonkers, because if you're using this in the first place, that's the ONLY buff you should use.
Seriously, the only better weapons to use Bloodflame Blade on are non-Fang claws, and that's strictly when they're paired.
Anonymousim curious if this will become the sleep shitters meta post ripple weapons status nerf after patch 1.12. with hammers being sped up too from that patch and this weapons innate bleed and arcane scaling and escaping the patch nerf hammer sounds like a recipe for disaster

AnonymousGonna make a meme build w 2 of them, name my char hopeless romantic

I like how using blood tax with this feels like you're making your opponent smell some flowers and then suddenly violently bleed everywhere. Other than that, though, this weapon isn't very good and I'd like it to be buffed.

AnonymousNormally using boluses doesn't make me mad in pvp, but bleed is my only means of damage with this, please stop hurting me.

AnonymousI get that the only buffable weapon in the game with both arcane scaling and innate bleed build up had to have low AR. It would be broken if it didn't. It didn't need to be THIS low though.

Anonymousthis weapon destroy bosses, use it as a guard break, put a spiked palisade bleed on left hand, never use blood tax, only use break, once the stance is broke swap to occult misericorde, your damage come from bleed + dagger, this weapon weight 2 and is enchantable with bloodflame, this is arcane paladin build, very fun to do, not a youtube 15000 damage build meme, but very honest way of playing the game.

Anonymous
AnonymousIf they made it so the thorns of the rose spike out like a thrusting sword, maybe two or three threads of briars twining together, and then retracted on the Ash of War attack, and then they buffed the damage somewhat but kept the base range for the regular attacks, that's a halfway decent weapon

AnonymousHello i was wondering if anyone knew if you can get his bouquet any earlier in the run I know that his quest can be done in like half an hour but still, I was just wondering if he would drop it at any earlier spots.

Anonymous
Anonymousinsanely good weapon carried me through my rl1 playthrough, didnt even need radagons soreseal

AnonymousThis is weapon hits only marginally harder than an actual bouquet of roses.

AnonymousSince nobody else has mentioned it, I might as well say it; silver tear mask goes insanely well with this weapon, not only because of the extra arcane, but because it has such an abysmally low damage that the mask's physical damage reduction is negligible, basically giving you more bleed buildup with no dowsides.
Fashion wise? for me it just works, makes you look like some wacky character out of a fighting game
Anonymous
Anonymousyou can just infuse a greatsword/halberd with blood tax with bleed to get way more damage and range and similar bleed buildup. This might be buffable but the total damage is still so low that you're better off using an actual weapon instead
that said, funni flower go bonk
AnonymousJust a heads up, pretty sure it actually procs 71 Bloodloss (AFAIK)

AnonymousJust a reminder that this is actually a steel weapon, shaped like flowers. Now, how a steel mace deals 46 damage... that's the real mystery.

AnonymousTarnished Review: Varre's Bouquet. A nice looking, but disappointing weapon, for a maidenless man. Out of all weapons found in the area, it truly is unique that it's usefulness is about as much as Varre's servitude to Mohg, which is very little due to the fact the other white masks are smart enough to attack you in areas with enemies, while Varre does a simple 1v1. Its damage is about what you expect when hitting someone with a full suit of armor with flowers. Granted it does good bleed, and can be buffed, its pitiful range matches the extent of how much Varre's fragile ego can take which with no surprise, is again very little. It's ash of war while again unique to the hammer class as it is the only one that can use it, is overshadowed, by literally any other weapon that has innate bleed and can be equipped with this ash of war. Compared to other weapons Mohg himself and, his 'cult members' use, it has is the most uninteresting ash of war, as all the others have some uniqueness to them. For example, Reduvia ash of war, while basically the same as Blood Blade, has unique difference of not costing hp and maybe even doing a little bit more damage. That makes it some what unique. However this weapon does not get that treatment, which in hindsight, is a missed opportunity, as there could have been many ways to make it more unique than regular blood tax. For Example, it could maybe have the roses thorns extend outward, maybe giving it the most range a hammer could have, or maybe it shoots out thorns to extend the range. Granted that could take a lot of work, but if not that, maybe increase the health taken from the player as well as the health gain from hitting it, could have been a interesting difference from regular blood tax, or maybe just having better status build up than regular blood tax. Alas, that is not the case for this. However in the end, I think we all can agree that this weapon is perfectly suited for Varre as it is as forgettable as him. 1 Blood Rose out of 30 Mohg's Dynasties. Would not recommend, will not get you maidens. In all seriousness though...this is just another meme weapon, that's look bloody cool for fashion, kind of wish it had the morning star moveset. It's not bad...but it's not good either :)

Broken straight sword deals 70 unupgraded damage in ds3.
Deal with it
AnonymousAm I remembering things wrong, or were you able to get this right at the start by murdering Varre? I only got festering fingers now.

AnonymousMost versatile hammer in the game. It's a sombre weapon, so upgrading is easy, can be accessed early thru Varres Quest as soon you beat two Demigods, has innate bleed that scales very well with Arcane (a trait unique to infused or unbuffable weapons), while also being buffable with greases or spells like Bloodflame Blade to devastating effect.
Not only that, but it has Blood Tax as its unique Skill (an ash of war normally unequippable on hammers), which not only compensates for the slowness of the hammer moveset, but gives you percent based healing-on-hit, and does enough poise damage to stun foes of human build with each hit.
AnonymousBleeds incredibly fast when buffed with blood grease on a high arcane build. The morning star moveset is pretty meh but at least it staggers well enough. The damage is worse than the torch. For a weapon this gorgeous it's a real shame its only a bleed tool.

I wish they gave this the dagger moveset. Makes way more sense to swing a bouquet of flowers like that than like the hammers.

AnonymousHow and why can a hammer do Bloodtax which is repeated thrust? Anyway I have to try to powerstance it with Ringed Finger or Envoys horn. it's gona be fun :D

Anonymous
AnonymousReduce the damage to 10, but make every hit cause a bleed proc.

AnonymousHey, do you know if you are limited to only one Bouquet? Kinda like Serpent Hunter? I tried to obtain this weapon second time in NG+ and couldn’t get it.

Anonymous
AnonymousA blue one would make for a good Roserade cosplay with the original bouquet.

AnonymousFunny to remember that this weapon has less damage than the Club

AnonymousNowadays actually makes for a pretty fun weapon into Malenia. As long as you have high Arcane and 30+ Mind, simply spamming her with AoW while buffed with Bloodflame Blade gets you through the fight very well. Staggers enough to not get hit by a dance mid-skill if you don't make mistakes, very easily punishes kicks, and healing from blood tax helps a lot to heal up accidental kick or blade flurry damage without wasting time on flasks. Haven't had as much fun with her since discovering whips, 10/10 can recommend.

Anonymous
AnonymousThey should have just given it a shortspear lenght handle, and keep the damage as it is.

AnonymousEasily the dopest looking weapon in the game. Deserves a phat buff for that reason alone.

AnonymousThis weapon is intended to be used for pure bleed affliction. Its bleed scaling reaches like (120) and when using blood tax you can inflict bleed pretty quickly. Normal melee damage is definitely not much of an option but it actually can make for an interesting bleed build.

AnonymousSteps to enlightenment: Step 1: Get this weapon. Step 2: Equip it, and pray to the Formless Mother. Step 3: Try and kill a boss. Step 4: Attempt to PVP, and win. Congratulations! You are now enlightened about how awful this weapon is!

AnonymousThis weapon with dagger speed would be really cool. They could've made it so you dual wield with the reduvia in your left hand like how the wakizashi powerstances with katanas.

AnonymousYou know you're a **** weapon when you deal less damage than a regular dagger.

Anonymous
Anonymous
Anonymouswhy does this have to be so useless? I don't even care about the damage but it's so slow. The attack speed should be closer to daggers than other hammers

AnonymousThe AOW is thematic, I’ll give them that, but something more unique would have been great.
With 99 Arc and upgraded +10, it has 135 blood loss buildup. If you’re powerstancing these, you can apply blood grease to both to boost that blood loss.
I think increasing the attack speed tremendously would make this weapon competitive. It weighs 2 lbs and gets swung around like it weighs 10 lbs. The poise nerf in 1.08 didn’t help.
Looks nice with rotten grave keeper cloak/helm and briar gloves/legs.
Just my 2c.
AnonymousI think this would be a fantastic weapon for going for a practically weightless hammer. Yes 2.0 isn't high but its not low enough that I would call this weapon unique. Its an ok choise for a bleed weapon but you have better options. If you want to use it because of how it looks it will serve you well and be useable but its never your best choise if you are looking for a practical tool.

AnonymousI would love to get this for the memes, but I'm not losing my dragon eyes.

Anonymous
AnonymousBeen using this for fun with a petal whip in my offhand. It's not that bad. I've won more than I've lost in the coliseum.

AnonymousThe only deadly consequence his voice had was calling me maidenless with it

Anonymousthe fact this doesn't have a better moveset and is stuck with the standard slow hammer swings really kills this for any kind of pvp

Anonymousblood tax was a pretty terrible ash choice for this, would have preferred something to make up for the piss poor range like something akin to piercing fang.

Anonymous+0 Mantis Blade has 1 point more in physical damage than a +10 Varres Bouqet. 112 for +10 Bouqet, 113 for +0 Mantis Blade. well done FromSoft. it looks so cool and its so useless.

AnonymousThis is not necessarily a bad weapon if you buff it with frost. Basically you get some nice burst damage but also both frost and bleed can be proc'd during the weapon art, which will break your opponents stance multiple times. If you want to get really spicy, cast fire's deadly sins with it and you'll instantly reset your opponents frost status, allowing you to continuously proc it with bleed. Lastly, since frost and bleed procs always break your opponents stance, you don't actually have to two hand the hammer (which still has a horrible moveset), instead you can just keep it one handed, with a staff or incantation seal in your other hand... This setup is really good in 1v1 and invasions, but because you rely on two buffs, it's really hard to pull off in free for all matches, or team fights.

AnonymousGetting bored on my arcane build. Un upgraded this thing currently has. 100 blood loss. I’m thinking of picking up another hammer to give it blood affinity. I’m interested to see powerstance bleed procs along with spamming bouquet’s AOW. Heck, even placing a better blood AOW on the other hammer and have boquet in the off hand. Though I do not expect dagger powerstance magic, I will have a little fun for a few days. And hey this hammer is pretty. Remember +9 is easy once you’ve progressed far enough.

I don't understand why people mad about this weapon? It just a bundle of Rose, what do you expected? LOL
