Ulcerated Tree Spirit is a Boss in Elden Ring. Ulcerated Tree Spirit is a snake-like creature with the appearance of a tree, covered in swelling red ulcers. It is found all throughout the Lands Between. This is an optional boss, as players don't need to defeat it in order to advance in Elden Ring, though Golden Seeds can be used to upgrade one's healing flasks.
See Putrid Tree Spirit for the Scarlet Rot variant.
See Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit for the non-Boss variant.

Ulcerated Tree Spirit Boss Combat information
- Stance: 120
- Parryable: No
- Is vulnerable to a critical hit after being stance broken
- Damage:
Standard,

Standard,

Holy
Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.

Ulcerated Tree Spirit Fight Strategy
Melee Users
"Don't Panic" is the motto of the Ulcerated Tree Spirit fight. Most of the times when it's flopping around it won't damage you, so learning when the few times that touching it hurts is the key to this fight.
Setup: Shield and enough armor to survive its bite attack.
Optional Setup: Holy Defense and Fire Damage, such as Fire Pots and Fire Grease
The most important thing to watch out for is the roar before the bite attack. Immediately after the roar, it will crawl up on the wall and charging at you with mouth wide open! Shift left when you see it and you should avoid it. Be ready to roll if it is too close.
Phase 1: Keep pushing towards his left side with your shield up until you are in range. If your Guard Boost is too low, it will stagger you, but its melee attacks are slow enough that you can recover before the next one starts. If it starts a breath attack, get in close if you are near enough, and run to the side if you are not. You can get some solid swings in while it is breathing everywhere else.
Learn the one crawling animation that does damage you from touching its entire body and avoid t.
Watch out for the start of Phase 2, since it does a large AOE with lightning strikes when it first transitions. It can do this AOE later in the fight as well, so continue to watch for the windup. If you are already far, run away. If you are close, move away with your shield up and just eat the damage.
Phase 2: The Tree Spirit starts doing holy damage with its attacks, so blocking with your shield will do chip damage to you. Don't Panic. The strategy is the same as phase 1, but hopefully you've got some timings down and can roll through a few of his melee attacks. Don't be afraid to take the chip damage on your shield instead of a full strength attack.
Repeat enough times to learn the windups and you'll be able to pick out the ones where there's enough time for a charged attack or multiple attacks. Eventually, you'll put this tree back in the ground.
Some more specific attack patterns for roll-focused characters:Starting off the fight, it will either lumber toward you and prepare for melee combat, or it will charge at you for its three-hit, double-charge combo. For the Double charge, dodge LEFT then LEFT again, then wait until you see it climb the wall and wind up, then dodge LEFT one more time to avoid the grab. Now, once you are in the fight, it is recommended to stay close to the boss's left arm (right side looking at the beast) where it meets the ground. You can punish almost every melee move with multiple light attacks and this strategy mostly keeps it from using the dangerous yellow breath attacks.
So if it claw swipes, dodge RIGHT, read for another move, then get in a light attack and repeat. If it raises its claw to stomp, then roll RIGHT, count two stomps with the claw you just avoided, then jump attack and reset. If it flops its neck down, roll RIGHT, turn to your left and get a couple of light attacks, then read its next move and reset. If it starts winding up its tail, back away from it then Dodge Roll right, then punish with a jump attack. Finally, if it hunkers down and cranes his neck up and begins to glow, SPRINT AWAY quickly. This is the beginning of phase two and the explosion will kill you or lower your health to where you can be killed easily. It is a grind in the early game because of the beast's high HP, but you can do it! Study the moves and develop a reaction to each one.
One weakness of the Tree Spirit is that its claw and mouth attacks can often overshoot the player. Staying as close as possible allows for easy damage, only being threatened by the tail whip attack. The whip can be blocked with a decent amount of stamina, since there's enough time after the block to recover from a stagger.
Magic and Ranged Users
You should bully him like a melee build. It is so large that you can't really make a gap that it won't immediately close, and it will also go for a bite attack if you get too far out. Don't start any attacks straight in front of it unless you're sure it's not about to go for a breath attack, and try to shoot for its side after it flops past you.
Stagger Bug:
If you stagger the Ulcerated Tree Spirit during its phase-change animation (the move where it explodes with golden light), the AI of the boss will stop acting in any way. This will allow you to damage the boss however you see fit from safety. Be warned however that after about 8 seconds after the AI stops functioning, the boss will resume moving. So it is in your best interest to continue staggering and Critical Hitting the boss so that it remains immobile while you work towards defeating it.
Ulcerated Tree Spirit Attacks & Counters
| Attack | Description | Counter |
| Double Charge | It roars and lunges at you, then writhes once with its body, then climbs the wall and lunges again. The 2nd lunge is a deadly grab. | Roll LEFT, roll LEFT again, wait for it to climb the wall, the avoid the 2nd lunge with another roll LEFT. |
| Charge Grab | It roars, climbs the wall, then lunges at you for a deadly grab. | When you notice it climb the wall, roll LEFT as it charges. |
| Gold Breath Spew | Its mouth will glow yellow and it will fire a long-distance stream of golden flames. | If you are at a distance, sprint horizontally and then approach him to punish once out of the line of fire. |
| Charge + Spew | It will perform "Charge Grab" then coil up and spew fire right below its head. | Avoid charge like normal, then sprint to its leftish belly (right side looking at the beast) and punish. |
| Claw Swipes | It will swipe with its left claw, hesitate briefly, and then swipe with its right claw. | Roll THROUGH each swipe. So roll LEFT then roll RIGHT. |
| Sideswipe | It will swipe with its claw on whichever side you are on front-to-back to clear you off of its side. | Roll THROUGH. If you are approaching to the right, the claw will come from the left, and vice versa. This attack can have a follow up, see below. |
| Tail Swipe | It will wrap its tail around its back then swipe it across. | Back away from it as it winds up, then roll RIGHT, and sprint to punish. |
| Claw/Tail Combo | It will perform "Sideswipe" and follow up with a jumping "Tail Swipe" | Roll THROUGH then hesitate a short moment, then roll RIGHT through the tail. |
| Claw Crush | It will raise its claw and stomp in a 1-2-1 rhythm. So two stomps on the side that it stomps first, and one on the other side. | Roll out of the way of the first stomp, then wait until second stomp happens then punish. HIGHLY PUNISHABLE because it never changes or adds a follow up. |
| Swipe then Pound | It will perform one claw swipe from the right looking at it head on, then it will raise both claws together in a pounding motion. | Roll through the first swipe, then SPRINT to its belly (off-center) and the pound will miss you. Punish with a few light attacks. |
| Neck Flop | It will flop its head over and slam its neck down directly in front of itself. May follow up with another neck flop or a neck swipe. | Roll RIGHT out of the way, turn to your left and punish with 2 light attacks. |
| Neck Swipe | It will roll its neck to the right (its left) and wind up a heavy swipe that will hit for over half your health. | This attack has a massive windup. Be patient, then dodge through to the RIGHT. Similar to the Tail Swipe, I had more luck avoiding this by being slightly further away from its body then by being up against it. |
| Yellow Fire Explosion | It will hunker down, and crane its head up, beginning to glow with yellow fire. Subsequent fire pillars will rise up at points marked with a glowing spot on the floor. | This has 2 hit boxes. The main AOE explosion around the beast that will knock and stun you, and an AOE on each pillar of yellow fire that blasts upward from the marked places on the floor. As soon as you notice this move, SPRINT away while being mindful to avoid the pillars that will soon form by watching the floor. |
Ulcerated Tree Spirit Notes & Other Trivia
- Variation from Stormveil Castle can be killed with ranged weapons/spells with ease - the player should place summoning sign near 2nd boss fight from that area and run to area from that side. If the player manage to get summoned shortly before ascending to the area, where Tree Spirit appears, the player will spot him with most of his attacks being harmless.
- Tree Spirits bear resemblance to the Pus of Man, an enemy from Dark Souls 3, and are an implementation of the "Snake Soul" boss concept from the early beta of Dark Souls III, referenced in its internal file name.

Golden Seed
A golden seed, found at the base of an illusory tree.
Increases a Sacred Flask's number of uses. (Can be used after resting at a site of grace.)
When the Elden Ring was shattered, these seeds flew from the Erdtree, scattering across the various lands, as if life itself knew that its end has come.
Crimson Seed Talisman
A crimson-colored talisman patterned after an Erdtree seed. Boosts HP restoration from the Flask of Crimson Tears.
The Erdtree was once perfect and eternal, and thus was it believed that Erdtree seeds could not exist.
Crimson Seed Talisman +1
A crimson-colored talisman patterned after an Erdtree seed. Greatly boosts HP restoration from the Flask of Crimson Tears.
The Erdtree seed of this talisman was presumed to be an object of myth. This age-old artifact also depicts the Two Fingers, perhaps harkening back to the birth of the Erdtree.

Anonymouswhats the lore behind these things? if they're connected to erdtree then why are they all ulcerated and disgusting? while also dropping golden seeds?

AnonymousI used to hate this boss but after fighting a ton of them in Nightreign they kinda grew on me. The grab attack is the most ridiculous punish in the entire game, just don't forget to rush up to it after dodging to avoid the flaming follow-up. 90% of its attacks will miss you as long as you stick to its sides, the 10% that don't are the jello head sweep and tail slash, which can be easily dodged into for big openings. Avoid locking on to it, believe it or not it makes the fight easier by a ton when your camera isn't seizing up to high heaven to the point you can't even see the T-rex arms swiping at you.

Anonymousi dont know who thought fighting a random mass of whatever this is is cool in any way. i dont feel like a badass putting this thing out of its misery i feel like a fcking moron going through the fog gate knowing i will never get those precious minutes of my life back. "man i wish i fought the ulcerated tree spirit one last time" said no one ever while on their death bed.

The guide says there's only 3, but I've seen a 4th one. I'm pretty shur it was at the camp were you get the "giant-crusher" hammer. My game could of just gliched though, since it didn't agro. Here I'll go check (go's to check), ya he's still there. He just fell from the sky and killed all the enimes. I think it a mini boss version because he didn't have a boss bar and imedetly started his second fase one he agro'd at me, nearly same health size though.

AnonymousI feel like there should have been one of these that's in like a tight hallway with barely any space and there should be a chariot going back and forth constantly and the tree spirit shuold be like a ghost variant so it doesnt get damaged by the chariot, and there shuld be skeletons that you cant kill fully they just keep respawning. Andi t should be a mandatory boss

Anonymousthe only annoying attack in my opinion is the big tail swipe that pushes you along with it

AnonymousSuch obnoxious movement from this poorly thought-out enemy. Or perhaps the intention was to make it as annoying as possible and then make you fight it more than once. *****-ass A1Ds tree lizard shouldn't even be in the game. **** you

Anonymous
Anonymous
AnonymousAfter fighting these things for the gonzillionth time in a single playthrough I think it's safe to say this thing should have stayed on DS3's cutting room floor. For something that was so overused in both the base game and the DLC it is really shallow and annoying to fight. Shallow because the fight boils down to some variation of 3 attacks, flailing it's tail or it's head at you in a sweeping motion, running away to scream and attempt to grab you with one of the most longest and easy to exploit punish windows in the game or swinging it's arms at you if you are at it's side. Annoying because some of it's motions are unclear because it's a flailing mass of bark and the camera often completly sh*itting itself due to the aforementioned flailing. On top of the fact that it's occasionally placed into a tiny room for no good reason and as a result you cannot see sh*t as it flails about and pushes the camera through the wall.
I genuinely have no clue what they saw in this thing and why it's so absurdly common when it's one of the most annoying reccuring mini-bosses in the game. Once you've fought it two or three times you've already fought it the 4th time, and the 10th, and the 15th, and the 20th. Even if it was something that appeared just once or twice the fight isn't even good, it's ok at best and that's being extremely nice. In reality this is a D tier fight that feels like it's everywhere for no reason other than padding out the game.
AnonymousFor the one on Mt Gelmir, you can utilize the little bonfires scattered around. Because it moves around so freely, you can cause it to hover on top of one of them and take continuous fire damage. Pretty sure it's intended, as they are all around its lair.

AnonymousIt makes me laugh they put 3 of them in the last area of the game. After 25 previous encounters, the last enemy the developer wanted you to see before the final bosses are these turd blobs.

Anonymous
AnonymousDied to the first one a bunch of times, read that most of their flopping around doesnt hurt you on here, tabbed back into game, killed it without getting hit once by just staying at its side and R1ing it. Weird worm creature.

AnonymousAhh yes the most difficult and dangerous enemy to ever grace any from soft game, the camera on a giant boss

AnonymousThe beginning of Elden Ring is such a masterclass in subtly introducing the player to how to approach the mechanics of the game... which makes it so baffling that they put this boss in its cramped arena before the First Step as the first stonesword dungeon in the game.

AnonymousThe most annoying part of fighting these guys is their arenas, half of them are in arenas WAY too small for their size

Anonymousthese things aren't difficult but they have the worst and most inconsistent hitboxes in the game, especially near its arms and certain parts of the tail. particularly noticeable when trying to jump attack at aforementioned points; feels like an invisible barrier and you're just swinging at air

AnonymousI think these craziest thing about these creatures is that someone (either the level designers or the person directly responsible for this monstrosity) is PROUD of these things. There are just so many of them in the base game and in the dlc that you can really only come to the conclusion that someone on the dev team (probably even multiple people) genuinely believes that fighting these things is fun and/or challenging. Which is a baffling because when fighting these creatures your biggest enemy is the camera and surrounding geography…

AnonymousThey are pretty easy once you memorise their moveset. The only threatening attack is the random explosion thing, but everything else is so easy and predictable.
Land R2s, land AoWs on it, get it stance broken, stab in the eye, rinse and repeat for about 2 minutes. Love these guys.
Anonymousthese things are like the spongebob quickster meme, except instead of running to a mountain and back, it's flashbanging me with explosions and making the camera clip through its body

Anonymousi swear the camera on these fuggers are having me see their interal organs with the amount of clipping they're doing, while the tree spirit is doing the giant aoe explosion for the 7th time in a row. will always cheese.

Anonymoushow has the one on mr. gelmir's minor erdtree take me more attempts than: godrick, red wolf, renalla, rykard, goldfrey, morgott, fire giant, foreskin duo, maliketh, placidusax, godfrey, regal ancestor spirit, dancing lion, bayle, the rest of the major boss pushovers, and 90% of all the minibosses on my first playthrough

Anonymous
AnonymousHate. Let me tell you how much I’ve come to hate you since the Shattering. Countless fragments of Great Runes lie scattered across the Lands Between. If the word ‘hate’ were etched upon every shard of those fractured runes, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in this very moment. For you. Hate. Hate.

Anonymousbest recurring boss ever. if you struggle with this then seek skill

Anonymous
AnonymousIt took me a long while to figure out, but I'm now 100% sure those are Golden Crucible people whose bodies merged in a monster created by the formation of the Scadutree itself, in a similar process as how Marika's people merge in a Erdtree avatar. The exile soldiers look, the Scadutree, the Spiral Thorn Sorceries, the reason why exile soldiers are penal legions that have to cover their face at all times. It makes sense that we find them in the DLC too. The damage and thorns in Stormveil was never about the pustule from Godwyn's face seeded underground.

AnonymousYou know what, I changed my mind. This **** is pure cancer. Only managed to win by pure luck, that is the fucko didn't corner me next to a wall and do aoe. I was lucky to have plenty of space to run when he did the aoe. Amazing bossfight right there fromsoft, amazing, yep, put a giant enemy with giant hitboxes in a 1x1 toilet, amazing indeed.

AnonymousToday I learned that shields are pretty good! Even if you take a bit of damage, it is much better to take all of that. Brass shield + fireball, not too shabby. I know it is because I got the additional hp but hey if it works it works.

AnonymousStay close? Ok.
*proceed to explode*
ok cool I guess no staying close allowed either.
AnonymousI love this boss! Its a combination of everything I hate from Fromsoft bosses, like an infamous version of the Soul of Cinder, this one is the culmination of everything that can make you sweat; big, hypermobile boss with animation that may or may not be some form of attack, stuck in a cramp room, doing grab attacks like there's no tomorrow (like jesus I just entered the gate). Should I mention the frequent clipping through the walls?
Still doable...but damn.
Anonymousi will actually commit arson on fromsoftware personally if they put this disgusting boss "design" into their next game as yet another reskin and you know they will because the shills can't say no and lap it up everytime

AnonymousFor the one in haligtree, if ur faith or int build u can stand on the ledge and spam blackflame/shard spiral. For me what worked was going in raw with great stars + prayerful strike. That skill will outheal the rot and hit the snake hard.

Anonymous
Anonymous
AnonymousFirst thing I saw for a boss. Wasn't very pleased, I won't lie. The fight is 25% the AOE blast, 25% the rest of the moveset, 25% the camera and 25% your patience first with learning all this then tolerating the two other reappearances.

AnonymousThere is another one next to the corpse under Stormveil castle

AnonymousPart of the Strategy section doesn't really make sense. In the "Claw Swipes" section it describes a move: "It will swipe with its left claw, hesitate briefly, and then swipe with its right claw." The strategy listed is to: "Roll THROUGH each swipe. So roll LEFT then roll RIGHT."
This must be backwards. If the enemy is swinging with its left, and you want to swing THROUGH the attack, you roll to your right. If it swings with it's left and you roll to your left, you're dodging WITH the attack, and that's a good way to end your roll inside a hitbox.

AnonymousI remember crying about the war dead catacombs one being in a small cramped room. Looking back I much prefer that one because it can't put distance on you unlike the other ones

AnonymousThis might be the worst boss/enemy in the game tbh. i dont think anything has an execution as terrible as this floppy willie nillie dookie slithering meat goober

AnonymousMagic/ranged description really could use some work folks. "Treat like a melee build" definitely does not work for this and what does that even mean? Its a weird worm beast thrashing about! I used Magic Glintblade because the delay means he wont attack right away while a summoned spirit distracts him. When not casting its easier to dodge.

AnonymousFrustrating boss. I am noticing quality of boss instruction is way down on this blog for Elden ring. Compared to DS3. Folks writing these check out ds3. Not helpful for beginners here. Im not a beginner anymore after ds3 and bloodborne, but those guides were way better.

The fights against these enemies use a controversial gaming design known as bullshit

AnonymousIt's just me or these creatures moveset and appearence are kinda resemble the Pus of man in DS3. Like them though only issue is they are way too big for most places we fight them and the camera is kinda ass beacause of that.

AnonymousI love how most of us collectively just instinctively know how to dodge seemingly unreadable attacks because we’ve fought them so many times that the muscle memory starts to kick in at Tree Spirit #12

AnonymousA part of me wishes there was more lore on these guys, l like to think of them as malformed Erdtree Avatars.

Anonymousthe one fought in Leyndell can be transpositioned into the small room near his arena, if it grabs you through the wall while you are inside the room. it cannot get out of course, which is both funny and a convenient cheese if you have enough HP to survive the grab and then get out of the room after it releases you.

AnonymousI learned to enjoy fighting these fellas. They are just right as a game design. No particular bullsh*t moves, everything is straight and predictable, easy to punish, post-grab they even allow for fully charged R2's and AoW's. You can deal some serious damage to them if you want.
Thank god FromSoft didn't make me fight 2 at the same time though. That would be devious.
Anonymousthanks miyazaki for making me fight another sentient dookie while ankle deep in sewage

Anonymousi love the melee users fight strategy section of this. its very encouraging lol

AnonymousThe one at the Lake of Rot has a golden seed and a few runes

AnonymousI just came back from a coop session in stormveil, and this bs ****ing enemy did the explosion 7 times IN A ROW until we all died. This is some bullshit wtf

The one in the Minor Erdtree at Mount Gelmir suffers from ****ing inclination issues, I perfectly avoid a hit but it's hitbox is a little higher than it should and it hits me anyways

AnonymousThey actually have super fun moveset but they suffer from camera and how much they're being reused real bad. So it's fun to fight them only when you learn the entire moveset and can tell what attack they're about to do judging from the slightest movements.

AnonymousYou can NOT summon spirits against that one in Stormveil Castle.

AnonymousLow cost tip: use an uchigatana, imbue it with bloodflame and use sword dance AoW. Don't neglect your vigor please; if you can survive its self explosion and its grab-attack (bites you and burn you inside its mouth) you're well prepared to fight them without so many dificulty. You can block its blast with ANY 2-handed weapon just to mitigate the damage, and for the grab-attack, use equilments, talismans, buffs and physick to increase your defenses. Be a tree spirit serial killer.

AnonymousJust remember: stay close; check if your vigor can tank an explosion; it attacks only with mouth, head/neck, hand and tail, the remaiming not even stagger you; it deals damage when it's attacking only; use fire, and one more thing: it BLEEDS.

Anonymousif someone asks me what "la creatura" means ill show them this thing

AnonymousMiyazaki, it's 15th time you bring Ulcerated Tree Spirit to class

AnonymousThank goodness most of them have like decent arena's to fight, I shudder in fear if they put this in like the Full Grown Fallingstar beast arena or PCR's

Anonymous
AnonymousTrying to fight one of these is like trying to fight inside a tumble dryer

AnonymousAbsolutely hated these the first few times I fought them, they were tanky, had erratic movement that placed their hitbox just outside of range, and their attacks covered a massive area.
By the time I fought 3 of them back to back in the ashen capital I learned to roll trough their swings, lashes and breath attacks and felt quite accomplished.
They were also a great preparation for the final boss, as the elden beast have similar hitbox/move pattern.
AnonymousFun fact, something like this boss appeared as a shadow in a dark souls 3 poster, but never added. Then it was probably introduced to elden ring, which the devs liked it so much they put 20 in the game

AnonymousThese guys are really intimidating and seem incredibly difficult at first, but there's a simple trick to beating them: stay on their left side (i.e. move to your right). Most of their attacks have a blind spot on their left side and can be easily avoided that way.

AnonymousThe one in Mt. gelmir can be done with poise mist if you are able to sneak behind him (use unseen form and crouch). It won't Aggro, and for a fragile Caster it is a easy way to get one of the best mage tears if you are patient enough

Anonymous
Anonymouswas this sentient piece of dookie such an amazing enemy that it deserved 7 apperences in the base game and 4 in the dlc, i think fking not.
i would have rather fought anything else
Anonymous
Anonymousjust want I always wanted, another handful of these guys just scattered in the DLC like sprinkles on ice cream

AnonymousThe one in shadowkeep spawned when there were water and just died...

Anonymous
AnonymousI think these have a really cool design and are genuinely fun to fight, but man, there are just way too many of these in the game. You know Miyazaki was laughing his ass off when he decided to put two more in the Church District.

AnonymousBest boss in the game, i love this boss, the way it moves, the way it reappears, love this boss

its not even that bad to fight, i just think they look gross

AnonymousFour of these in the DLC. Why? The mind boggles on all cylinders.

Anonymous>see miniboss arena
>ask miyazaki if this boss is crucible knight or tree spirit
>he doesn't understand
>pull out illustrated diagram explaining what is crucible knight and what is tree spirit
>he laughs and says "it's a good boss sir"
>its tree spirit
AnonymousFromsoftware didn't have the balls to make a Deathblight Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Cowards

AnonymousGenuinely curious why we got more than 3 of these in the dlc. Nobody asked for that. Couldn't you have spammed one of the newer bosses.

AnonymousMan I love Elden Ring, but I swear Miyazaki went down in terms of ideas of bosses for many. Never seen a game with a load of recycle assets, moveset and bosses. Sheesh.

Anonymous
Anonymousremember the boss that we repeated 12 times in the base game? we also Ctrl C + Ctrl V in the DLC thanks for the 40$ guys

AnonymousFor open area fight, poison arrow until it gets poison. And then sip some tea until all poison damge is done. Then repeat until it dies.

AnonymousPlease just try fighting these with a shield if you're one of those people who finds these annoying to deal with. They are so easy to beat and figure out if you just get a shield, and find out that a lot of their attacks where they flail do not actually deal damage, and the ones that do have windups so long that they can't hit you even if they break their guard because before they wind up a second attack you're already recovered and can block again. Even their mid transition explosion can be blocked to majorly reduce the damage if you're uncertain about dodging it, the only attack that's threatening to block strategy is the grab, and a badly positioned breath attack if you can't hug them enough for it to miss naturally.

AnonymousAn easy way to kill the one in Belurat is to sneak behind it and cast freezing mist on its tail. Boss won't aggro and just dies to frostbite. Can be done even at rl1 with talismans and int boosting gear.

AnonymousOne more down in the pest ruins at the scarlet rot lake he spawns when you aproach 2 dead bodys in a small river arm

Anonymous
AnonymousNgl, encounter this at the basement of the castle for the first time plus encounter godwyn's face, it was a great moment

AnonymousThere’s another one of these in the dlc that’s not listed here. I found it in the river on my way down to the cerulean coast. I don’t remember exactly where but it dropped the horned bairn and a pretty good amount of runes.

Anonymous
Anonymousi have killed this dude so many times in so many slight variations and in so many different locations that i kinda developed a relationship of rivalry and respect. go on king keep showing up at the worst possible place at the worst possible time for no reason other than being the true supreme hater you are

AnonymousThese bosses really aren't that bad, while yes they are peak for camera issues their attacks are at least well telegraphed enough that you can tell what they are going to do even when your camera is trying to crawl it's way up your butt. First time I fought one of these I struggled hard, now I could almost kill them with my eyes closed.

AnonymousThat's what I call a bad developed boss.
It's hard to find which part of its body can hit you. It's need to memorize the moves that can be an ok animation or an attack.
The camera makes you confused by x-ray vision inside its model; it gets invisible near camera and you be always afraid of being hit by his giant body smashing you in your point of view but miraculously not doing any damage sometimes.

Why do the ones in the church district have like 30k HP lol.
