I wish DLC introduced a 5th talisman pouch with reduced/increased effects, or for specific talismans only, or even a slot that's compatible with different versions of same talismans like winged sword and rotten winged sword insignia. Idk, I just wish there was a dlc talisman pouch, idc what it does. My greatbow sniper build would benefit SO MUCH from a 5th one

So, what even was the purpose of these? It only really gates you out of talisman slots for the first half of the game and you barely even see a lot of really good talismans by that point. I can understand it as a way to "reduce" twinking but, just like soul memory, it'll never work because the people who twink will always find a way to gain even a slight advantage. Dragon Halberd still exists, Rot pots/Rot breath still exists, getting 14 fully upgraded flasks still exists.

fun fact, in NG+ you can get a 5th talisman pouch from margit but it will drop on the ground since you already have the maximum amount of talisman pouches, what you thought i was gonna spread misinformation?

There are 4 pouches, not 5. You start with 1 and can find 3 more in base game. The DLC did not add a fifth pouch.

While picking these up is a really satisfying aspect of growing you power on a new build... I can't help but think you'd see more variety in early set ups if you started with the pouches out the gate. It's hard to not just grab Radagon's Soreseal on subsequent playthroughs and leave it in til half the game is over. Obviously people can just choose to not use the best stuff available, but with 4 slots you'd be waiting on better talismans rather than having great talismans and waiting for more pouch slots.

you can get a 5th one in the dlc after going through the king's field and entering the shadow tower, inside you have to kill the hollow knight by piercing him through his armored core and then he says "shadows die twice, but demon souls are forever" and he dies and drops it.

Honestly wish there was one more talisman pouch added in the DLC, but I could see how that would be seen as pay-to-win. Just make an update that gives you a fifth one after defeating Gideon or Hoarah Loux. There's so many new build possibilities with the DLC talismans added.

I think a good way to add 2 more pouch slots without upsetting balance would be to make a handful of the more powerful talismans cost 2 slots. That way, niche/fun builds can actually stand a chance against the typical strong/meta builds that use “must have” talismans.

You can wear 20 rings, 2 bracelets, 2 anklets, 1 necklace, 2 earrings and 1 plug, totalizing 28 slots to use for buffing items.

Disappointing they added so many new talismans in the DLC and didn't create a 5th talisman slot. Crimson Seed +1 is almost mandatory with 50+ vigor and you'll probably have a damage negation one on as well. Maybe they did it for balance, but let's not pretend like PVP isn't already horribly balanced to begin with.

There should be talisman slot matching making in PVP just like there’s weapon match making. You can only invade/be summoned into worlds that have equal, one greater or one few talisman slot than you. This is so lenient that it would only effect twinks (jerks that purposeful keep their level and weapon low to have a huge advantage over players with less powerful gear and resources). There is no reason not to do this. It would make the community much healthier by not turning off new players to PVP from a bad first experience at lower levels.

I'm not sure how to edit these pages, but you don't have to defeat two great rune bosses to get the fourth talisman pouch. Killing Morgott is what causes the Enia pouch to become available at the twin maiden husks. If you use a glitch or exploit to get into the capital without killing any great rune bosses, you can get the pouch with only Morgott's great rune after defeating him. Tested on patch 1.10 with the ruptured tear elevator skip to get into Leyndell early.

Patch 1.10 I think I have. You can have a total of 4. I got one from the gold Godfrey. Get 2nd pouch. Killed Morgott guarding the tree. Getting a 3rd one. Which you can skip him to get to Godrrick. you can buy the 3rd pouch at the maiden huck to get the 3rd (pouch) 3 will show in inventory. Dont think it will work the other way around. wixh we can at least have 6. And more damn arrows and bolts to carry. 99 suck ass and not worth it to use bows in my opinion.

Defeated Margit, the Fell Omen and I did not get a talisman pouch. The only one I got so far was from Finger Reader Enra. I probably will get the other one from Morgott or from the golden shade of Godfrey if I can only have four talismans equipped.

Awesome new update fixed missing out on a talisman pouch, when you go to the round table it notifies you theres new items and you can go to the lady you give the bells and buy it from her store for 500 runes. lowkey panicked for a second when I went to the og finger lady who normally gives it to you and she didnt have it still lol

I think From is teaching a valuable lesson. With all the people complaining about missing a slot, that is entirely on you. Just be thorough. This game is a massive experience that intended for you to explore everything possible, talk to everyone, go everywhere. If you missed an item, just like I missed the legendary spear in Leyndell before it turned to ash, that is noones fault but your own.

Patch 3/16/2022 a 3rd Talisman pouch was just added to my Twin maidens shop at the Table of Lost Grace. I was one of the bugged/missed the dialogue option for pouch number 2. Hope everyone else gets the same result.

Being locked out of core character progression feels bad. Fromsoft really should make the finger maiden drop the talisman pouch when she dies or at least make it available whenever after we unlock it. This having to talk to her at a very specific time in a play through to get it is more than annoying it’s a waste of time. 2 pvp characters down the drain because I didn’t know about this bs. Make sure you go talk to the finger Maiden after getting 2 great runes or you too will be locked out of a core character upgrade.

So basically you get the first pouch from Godfrey, the secone from Renalla, and the third from under a waterfall, but don't miss the third one because it'll disappear and you can't obtain the fourth, fifth, and sixth pouches from sucking finger lady's toes.

Talismans work much like rings from Dark Souls 1 through 3, and across all 3 games we only ever had 4 ring slots so I doubt there will be a fifth slot in a dlc

There seems to be some confusion among the comments so here it is: you begin the game with 1 pouch. There are 3 more you can get as the game progresses for a total of 4 pouches. Also, as someone mentioned further down, they may add another pouch with some dlc in the future.

The link to Godfrey's page needs to be changed to Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Golden Shade). The pouch drops from this first version of him found in Leyndell, not the second one.

If you look at the Talisman Pouch in the Key Items tab it says that a maximum of 3 can be held. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a glitch to get a fourth, but I doubt that you are meant to be able to have 5 slots.
