Redmane Freyja is an NPC in Elden Ring. Redmane Freyja is a former follower of Radahn, but is now a fervent follower of Miquella. She is an NPC that can be found exclusively in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and can't be encountered in the base game.
Lady Leda spoke of you. You're that Tarnished, guided here by Kindly Miquella. Weren't we all. I am Redmane Freyja. I once fought alongside Radahn. I'll hold my own in battle.

Elden Ring Redmane Freyja Notes & Trivia
- Lockout conditions for Redmane Freyja's Quest:
- Giving Sir Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll before learning about Freyja's decision will potentially lock you out of Freyja's questline, unless you side with Needle Knight Leda during her invasion, after which Letter for Freyja will be dropped as part of his loot.
- Not giving Freyja the Letter for Freyja will exclude her from the fight in Enir-Ilim. Freyja will disappear from her spot at the Storehouse, Seventh Floor site and she will leave the Golden Lion Shield for players to loot.
- Can be killed after obtaining the Golden Lion Shield and still drops the rest of her equipment. This will exclude her from the fight in Enir-Ilim.
Elden Ring Redmane Freyja Questline Guide
Redmane Freyja in Gravesite Plain
Redmane Freyja is located at the Three-Path Cross, north of the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link]. She will recognize you as the Tarnished, introduce herself, and mention Hornsent, who will give you the Cross Map, which is a map of Miquella's Crosses.
(Optional) You can unlock additional dialogue by heading to the Belurat Tower Settlement [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link]. Here, Freyja can be summoned to help you defeat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. After the battle, return to Freyja at the Three-Path Cross [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link] to talk about Hornsent and learn more about her past as a Redmane. Additionally, she can be summoned to help defeat Rugalea the Great Red Bear for this dialogue before she advances to the Shadow Keep.
To progress Freyja's questline, Miquella's rune must be broken. After doing so you will receive the message "Somewhere a great rune has been broken. And so too, a powerful charm." To break the great rune:
- Enter the Shadow Keep front entrance, through Messmer's Army Encampment. [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link]
- From the Bonny Village, head east to Scadu Altus, then proceed north from the Bridge Leading to the Village Site of Grace [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link].
After breaking the great rune, return to Freyja at the Three-Path Cross and exhaust her dialogue. She will now move to Shadow Keep.
Redmane Freyja in Shadow Keep
When you enter Shadow Keep through the Main Gate, you will encounter the Golden Hippopotamus [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link] boss fight, and you will be able to summon Redmane Freyja to assist you in this fight.

Once the Golden Hippopotamus has been defeated, you will find Redmane Freyja again at the Shadow Keep, on the Storehouse, Seventh Floor of the Specmien Storehouse [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link]. You will find her crouched low and attempting to read scriptures off a stone. Talk to her to learn that she needs help from Sir Ansbach and will not say anything new to you if you keep trying to talk to her. Then, speak with Sir Ansbach on the Storehouse, First Floor [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link].
In order to receive the Letter to Freyja from Sir Ansbach, speak to Ansbach about Freyja and exhaust all his dialogues, then you should give the Secret Rite Scroll to him. The scroll can be found at the Storehouse, Fourth Floor on a desk behind some tall bookshelves [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map Link]. Rest at the Site of Grace and return to him to receive the letter, report back to him after you have given the letter to Freyja.
NOTE: If you give the Secret Rite Scroll to Ansbach first before telling him about Freyja, he will leave if you rest at a Site of Grace or travel somewhere else, locking you out of progressing Freyja's questline further. However, if you aid Needle Knight Leda against Ansbach during her questline, and he already left the location due to the scroll, he will drop the letter as part of his loot, allowing you to still progress Freyja's questline.
Now once you have the letter, your choice will be the determining factor of either progressing her questline or not. If you decide to give the letter (which we recommend to maximize the rewards you get for Freyja's questline), return to the Storehouse, Seventh Floor site of grace.
- Give the letter to Freyja: Freyja will give you the Golden Lion Shield in return and continue her quest, moving on from Shadow Keep. (Be sure to exhaust her dialogue after giving the letter.)
- Do not give the letter to Freyja: Freyja's quest will not progress, and she will remain in Shadow Keep until you defeat the final boss of the DLC. Once you've done so, return to her spot in the Shadow Keep to find the Golden Lion Shield.
Redmane Freyja in Enir-Ilim
If you've given Freyja the Letter to Freyja, she will fight against you in the NPC battle in Enir-Ilim (after the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom Site of Grace). After the battle, you'll be able to loot Freyja's Greatsword and Freyja's Set from her corpse in the same room.
Dialogue in Elden Ring: Redmane Freyja
Introduction
- Ahh, Lady Leda spoke of you. You're that Tarnished, guided here by Kindly Miquella. Weren't we all. I am Freyja. I once fought alongside General Radahn. In battle, you can be sure I'll hold my own.
- Oh, another thing. Did you speak to our dour little friend? If you've yet to do so, have him give you a map of the crosses' whereabouts. They are Miquella's footprints.
- I urge you follow after Miquella.
After defeating Divine Beast Dancing Lion
- Ah, well met. That was a fine battle indeed. It heartens me, that another warrior stands among us. Among the beckoned.
Ask about the damage to her armor
- Long ago, I was stricken by scarlet rot in the Swamp of Aeonia. Immobile, feverish, and in great pain, I was entirely resigned to death.
- I was left behind, and only Kindly Miquella was enough to seek me out. My wound was swollen and festering — exuding a most pungent odour — and yet he drained the poison from it.
- ...Despite my wretched visage. Now, I consider this wound my compass.
Visit
- Let us both take Kindly Miquella's guidance to heart. May we meet again on the battlefield, brave warrior.
Ask about that other man
- Do you wonder why the eternally dour fellow keeps his distance?
- He's one of the tower's hornsent. I can only assume he fights for his own reasons, and carries his own burdens. But we needn't concern ourselves with his affairs. He, too, was charmed by Kindly Miquella, and guided here. And that makes us allies.
- We're not gods, you and I. Even if we did manage to dig up the secrets of his past... I doubt our meddling could ever amount to much
After the Great Rune breaks
- Oh, there you are. Good. If you happen to see Lady Leda, tell her that I’m striking out on my own. Don’t worry. I’ve no mind to cross any of you. The guidance of Kind Miquella remains etched into my very flesh. It’s only, there’s something that I must know.
- (What do you intend to look into?) Kindly Miquella spoke… of the vow he once made with General Radahn. And… it is here the vow shall be honoured. I am a Redmane. I must know the nature of the vow.
- I’ll be out on my own for some time. There’s something I must know.
- (What if you become our enemy?) There is no need for concern. I will be true to my word. Though I do feel a hint of regret. Lady Leda and honourable Ansbach are of a special breed. How glorious it would have been, had we met in battle as sworn enemies.
Visit in Shadow Keep
- Hmm, let me see… Fickle, fidgety little letters. I should wipe you clean off the page.
- Ahh… Now, now, Freyja. Don’t let it rile you up. Take it slow, take it slow.
- By my lord...Will I ever make sense of this jumble?
- Oh. Hello. I’m afraid I’m busy. ...A curse upon my lack of foresight. I should have asked Ansbach to impart his knowledge when I had the chance.
- (On attack) Ngh! What’s the matter with you?
- (Talk after attacking) Are you done? Kindly Miquella’s enchantment has expired. It can be disorientating, to say the least.
- (Attack again) Looking for a fight, are you. Fine by me. Those squirmy little letters were driving me mad. And I’ve vigour to spare.
- (On defeat) What’s the matter with you… Lady Leda, beware.
- (On player kill) What a pitiful place to meet your end. A warrior should know – any fight might be your last.
§Upon delivering the letter from Ansbach
- I’m afraid I’m busy. Truly, I should have asked Ansbach to impart his knowledge when I had the chance.
- (Pass on Letter for Freyja) For Sir Ansbach, to me? What on earth could it… Oh…? Hmm…?
- Yes, of course, I see. As the festival of war concluded, General Radahn’s soul met an honourable end. But Kindly Miquella wishes to revive it. ...Which is fine by me. I know it would pain old Jerren, but war has always suited General Radahn best. And certainly far more than any honourable death. Endless war to invigorate the soul. As befits General Radahn, the great lion.
- Thank you. Now I’ve finally cast off my misgivings. Give my regards to honourable Ansbach. Tell him if we should meet in battle, to face your bow would be fine enough, but to face your blade would be an honour. (Gives Golden Lion Shield)
- Perhaps next time we, too will meet on the battlefield.
- All that remains is the fight. For our Kind Miquella.
Fighting in Enir-Ilim
- I am the Redmane, Freyja. The time has come.
- I could not hope for a worthier foe. This is our moment. Let’s make it something to remember.
- I never could have imagined it. That you might be the Erdtree’s rightful lord. Ha ha ha… Such as it is, this battle could not be more fitting. For the birth of a new god, and the coming of a lord!
- (If Ansbach is summoned) Thank you, Sir Ansbach. The mere sight of your blade sets my heart aflutter. All the more I yearn to crush it in my grasp!
- (Upon player kill) There can only be one lord. And you are not worthy.
- (Upon defeat) I offer this fight… To Miquella the Kind, and Rada…
- (Upon defeat) You were fine… in your part… Truly, a glorious battle...it was...

Sir Ansbach
Freyja, by the gods… She must be feeling the need to reaffirm her allegiance before she heads to war… A true Redmane she is, hardly troubled by the rot. But no-one is without their shortcomings… She has a hard road ahead…
Righteous Tarnished. Could you please give this to Freyja? Thanks to you, she, too, will have the answers she requires. Freyja possesses a youth I no longer have. This knowledge will surely stoke the flames of valor within her. Yes, I can see her barreling into the fray right now..
Ha ha ha… I should have expected as much from Freyja! Some things simply never occur to her. Paralyzing fear. True despair.

AnonymousHer questline during Shadow Keep reduces the tarnished into a ****ing errand boy. It's like an mmorpg quest where you move between 2 NPCs to carry their messages. She even sends us back to Ansbach to thank him for her. Go ****ing thank him yourself...

Anonymousshame that such a great name had to be wasted on this traitorous female liver king looking mongrel, should have joined up with the objectively right side and not let your bias and convictions get you killed sis

AnonymousThe NOTE is wrong ,you should give the scroll first ,then talk about freyja ,and sir ansbach will give you the letter without the need to sit at grace / reload at all

Anonymous"Don't you DAAAAH approach Miquella the Kind"
I can't stress how sick and tired I was hearing this line...
AnonymousWait ... so "she drops her shield after disappearing" (after messing up her questline, because Miquellzaki), then "you can still kill her after getting her shield" .... Huh?

Anonymous"The guy who brainwashed you is going to sock puppet your dead liege lord into betraying the things he cared about most and also your scout troop leader who you really wanted to honorably slay is a serial killer who is currently taking out your friends one at a time and is probably going to kill you too at some point. Please, we need to unite to stop these horrors from taking place"
"I am forever in your debt for telling me this, Tarnished. Take my shield as thanks. Now I'm going to go die pointlessly helping the serial killer jump you"
Freyja is dumb as a rock
AnonymousBTW, even picking up the scroll for Ansbach locks out her questline. If you want her reward do everything with her BEFORE picking up the Secret Rite Scroll.

AnonymousBro, what a DISASTER OF QUESTLINE. Like, just because a delivered Ansbach the scroll before talking to her, am I locked out of her quest. What a disgrace of decision is this, FromSoft ?

Anonymousok so i killed a boss solo and didnt notice the little grey sh*t standing in the corner afterwards? +1 to the gank. told the fat f*** to cheer up? +1 to the gank. idk why freyja even wants to fight me tbh. just let me 1v1 leda smh

AnonymousI just got the letter for Freyja after helping Leda defeat Ansbach, but Freyja still won't show up on Seventh Floor.

AnonymousSo I've somehow advanced Ansbach to the point he gave me the letter to Freyja, and I've found her on the 7th floor of the Storeroom, BUT I've not encountered Golden Hippo yet. If I go ahead and give her the letter now, will she still be summonable for GH? Or should I fight GH first before handing over the letter?

AnonymousIt's so ridiculous how you can run into Ansbach and his damn scroll LONG before coming across Frey alllll the way up on the 7th floor.

Anonymousbtw her existence confirms that scarlet rot is apparently wholly curable if miquella was easily able to "kiss" it away and she's just left with a little scar that doesn't impede her at the slightest, lil bro was just being spiteful to his sister for no reason i guess

AnonymousShe's so badass! She was a great help against divine beast :)

Anonymous
AnonymousWas she ever able to make sense out of that jumble? I guess we will never know...

AnonymousSo the reward for doing her quest perfectly is to add an npc to the npc boss fight.

Anonymous
Anonymousif you give her the letter and then attack, DO NOT DIE, she will dispawn forever

AnonymousThe information that she dissapears after you attack her and die in storehouse is false.
Once you die she imeaditly starts to attack you again if you spawn at the grace next to her
AnonymousIt's ok Freyja, no one knows you secretly have the sleeper build in elden ring, multihit talismans, they activate with your lion shield bash btw and they are pretty good on savage lion claw too, your secret is safe with me.

AnonymousLightwork. Get her shield and then kill. Easy. Villain playthroughs are way more fun.

Anonymousi didnt do her or ansbachs questline except giving ansbach the scroll, but she still appeared in the final fight for me

Killing this NPC in the Specimen Storehouse will reward you with her set and sword. Killing her makes a later fight easier, so do that unless you specifically want the shield.

Anonymous
AnonymousThe little blonde hairs on her thighs look animalistic, you can see them at the 7th floor

AnonymousShe looks like Brock Lesnar's daughter. Coming from Zullie the witch video where the NPCs are unmasked

Anonymousif you attack her in the storeroom and die, her fight at enir illim (as well as her items) can be restored by using a celestial dew at the church of vows.

AnonymousIt's crazy. I swear I did not meet her at the Three-Point Cross at all. I went straight to Shadow Keep thinking it was the way to go. Hadn't gone to Belurat or anything. I must've entered in some roundabout way because I never met the Golden Hippo either. Met her on the 7th floor. Did her quest. The the Dancing Lion and the Hippo and her summon sign isn't in either place. Sucks to miss some lore.

AnonymousChrist, she looks like Goro from Mortal Kombat. Put your helmet back on, ugh...

AnonymousDoing one small thing before a quest REALLY shouldn't lock you out of it...

AnonymousShe definitely looks like she'd hang out in 'girl bars'....

Anonymous
AnonymousSummoning Freyja to help slay Rugalea the Great Red Bear will also count for unlocking her lore dialogue before the great rune breaks. If you didn’t summon her for the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, this is another chance to fight alongside her.

AnonymousIf you attack her on the 7th floor storeroom and die she disappears and after the Leda fight her corpse will not appear at all

AnonymousAnyone else get her items twice when you picked them up from the specimen storehouse? I’m not complaining, but it’s a weird glitch and I’m wondering what caused it.

AnonymousThe rest of her quest is fine, but I'm disappointed at how we can miss dialogue if we defeat the Dancing Lion without summoning her. Just have those lines about her past available even if she wasn't summoned, we can talk to her and proceed with the rest after breaking the rune. F-n stupid design to make story content missable for no reason.

AnonymousIf you die to her on the 7th floor storeroom you won't be able to fight her again until the boss fight. Really lame but I guess that's what you get for failing to get her sword early

AnonymousTo progress her quest in shadow keep, you should talk to her first, then talk to ansbach about freyja's riddle, then give her ansbach's letter. After freyja leaves, you can give ansbach the secret rite scroll.
The secret rite scroll triggers ansbach to leave the shadow keep, locking you out of freyja's questline. Her gear will still be available in the shadow keep after beating consort radahn though, all you'll be missing is one more foe in enir-illim.
Anonymous
Ganking traitor strumpet, nothing glorious about her, she and that discus-spamming rat Dane can now kiss in hell

AnonymousYeah…messed it up. From loves this kind of quests a little bit too much. Should’ve looked it up. Damn!

AnonymousI didn't even FIND her by the time i gave Aisbach the letter lmao, I heard her voice lines a few times while going through the upper floors but didn't see hide nor hair of her anywhere. Haven't confirmed I "failed" her quest though yet so I'm not even mad just. wow. (I was here to check where she, like, IS.)

AnonymousSo if you just don't give her the letter that's -1 NPC in the fight against Leda? (Assuming you don't need the drip).

AnonymousThe note says:
"NOTE: If you give the Secret Rite Scroll to Ansbach first before telling him about Freyja, he will leave if you rest at a Site of Grace or travel somewhere else, locking you out of progressing Freyja's questline further."
Actually you can give the Sercet Rite Scroll to Ansbach, make him disappear and still progress Freyja's questline. If Sir Ansbach disappears, you can still invade him afterwards with Leda (the summon signs will still be in the room on the Storehouse 1st Floor, where Sir Ansbach used to be). After killing him, he drops the Letter to Freyja.
Works for App Ver. 1.13.
AnonymousWow, this sucks. For once I knew where I should use the quest item I got, so I gave the scroll to Ansbach right after I found it, only to lock myself out of another quest completely right after. Seriously, From Soft? Truly, one of the dumbest things ever.

AnonymousIf you attack Freyja after you give her the Letter in shadow keep and die to her she dissappears. She is not at her first location either, so I guess she peaced out and will propably face me in the gank.
Note to self: better win if you try to kill her
AnonymousAnother super strong “muscle mommy” gooner bait girl boss female character, very cool and unique

Anonymousseriously I thought to myself "really want to do a blind playthrough" just a moment later broken quest by giving letter to ansbach before freya, just f*** GG

AnonymousYou will be locked out of Freya's full quest and rewards item if you don't talk to Anbasch about Freya's decision before giving Anbasch the Sercet Rite Scroll.

Anonymous"Can be killed after obtaining the Golden Lion Shield and still drops rest of equipment. This will exclude her from the fight in Enir-Ilim."
So, right after giving giving Ansbach the Scroll?
AnonymousI messed up her quest and got to loot her twice after the dlc. She didn't show up in the big battle and her stuff was left on the floor of the storeroom. I looted her equipment but the purple light was still there and I could loot her a second time. These quest are really buggy especially if you don't follow them in the intended order.
I think I gave the scroll to Ansbach getting the letter to Freyja. Oopsie.

Anonymousi don't know what dark souls 2 and 3 intern decided to work on these npc mechanics, but requiring the summon of an npc to progress dialogue is the stupidest decision i have ever seen. i thought we were done with this - ALL of elden ring's npc questlines can be progressed WITHOUT needing to summon ANYONE and hinder my feeling of accomplishment with the game.
and then there's just freyja, who i can't interact with because i wanted a challenge defeating the divine beast on my own??? are we serious? like WHY are we still doing this.
AnonymousI killed her in Enir-Ilim on my second playthrough. Everyone else’s body was there. Not Freyja’s. Weird

Anonymous
AnonymousAh, Freyja, neither Leda or Kindly Miquella were worthy of your loyalty.

Anonymousso you encounter the scroll and a site of grace before knowing shes even there, but if you give the scroll to ansbach your are locked out from her quest, nice one fromsoft and theres is still people praising quest of this game smh

Anonymous
Anonymous
AnonymousI did not finish ansbach quest and freyja's quest. she was still in the storeroom and i didn't give the scroll to ansbach. After i defeat leda, freya disappeared from the storeroom and drop her armor set and her sword. I beat the final boss and I went back to the 7th floor storeroom to check if the shield is there, it's not. wiki says she drops it after the final boss?

AnonymousNo wonder Tricky Miq had to save her from the rot. Pretty much her entire lower half is exposed, as well as her elbows and a good chunk of her upper arms.
Compared to the other Redmanes, she might as well be naked.
AnonymousI can confirm that immediately after giving her the letter from Ansbach and receiving the Golden Lion Shield, you can kill her right there to also get her armor and Greatsword; while also stopping her from appearing in the NPC gankfight shitfest at the end of the game. This is probably the best way to go about this quest.

AnonymousShe wants an eternal war in age of compassion. I don't know how that works, but sounds kinda ass.

Anonymoushttps://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Freyja%27s+Greatsword states that you can get her sword if you didn't give her the letter tho, true or not? What about her armor if you didn't give the letter?

AnonymousI dont know what happened, but when i went to talk to her she dropped her armor and sword. twice. definitely a bug

AnonymousWhy does she fight you in the end? What was in the letter, I wonder?

AnonymousI Need to tell something: If you give Sir Ansbach the scroll before Talking to freyja, he will leave the Spot. But the quest isn’t passed after this. When you kill him with Leda together he will drop the thing to give it freyja. Idk if he drops it too, if you choose to help him in this fight. But the fight is at the same spot he is waiting for the scroll and after the invade there it is on his old spot. I have done **** and killed freyja. Didn’t know that before. Maybe it helps others.

Anonymous
AnonymousI appreciate the guide but may I just say that the fashion in those screenshots is absolutely wretched

AnonymousWhen I Ansbach disappeared after I game him the secret rite, I killed Freyja and she dropped all her equipment. One less nuisance to deal with at Enir Ilim!

AnonymousYou can kill her in the storehouse once she moves there to get her sword and armor. This can be done both before and after doing her questline to obtain her shield as well.
I recommend always killing her regardless of you wanting to use her equipment or not, because it's just one less goon for the gank fight in Enir-Ilim
Anonymousthey couldve made him drop the letter on the ground for the player to pickup instead before he despawns after he gets the information and locking you out for freyjas quest.

For me if you got stuck at the part where you talked with Sir Ansbach and given him the scroll first then talked to him about Freyja. Simply reload the area where he is located in the Shadow keep and he'll give you the Letter. Happened to me so it should work

AnonymousI could be wrong here, but I think that completing the secret rite scroll part of Ansbach's quest, as well as helping Hornsent in his duel against Leda beforehand is where the lockout becomes unfixable. You can't take part in the Ansbach/Leda duel at that point, so Ansbach just doesn't come back unless you fought against Hornsent (I think). I found this out the hard way because I didn't want Hornsent's questline to end, hope this helps someone out. :(

AnonymousThese questlines are such nonsense in their requirements it even makes the base game quest lines look easy to follow.
Don't fight Messmer before assisting Hornsent or Leda, otherwise you miss out on stuff.
Don't give Ansbach the information he was looking for before you talk to Frejya, because for some completely arbitrary nonsense reason, then he won't give you a letter for her that seemingly should have no bearing on the information you initially provided to him. Whoops, missed out on a shield and a summon, guess you're screwed for an entire other playthrough unless someone is willing to give it to you.
What possible reason would there be for them to make it so that he wouldn't give you the letter after already giving him the information he wanted? It seems to make no sense from a story perspective, it just seems like a stupid shoe-horned in way to screw over the player so that they can't get her Shield.
AnonymousThis is possibly one of the worst quests I have ever encountered in a Fromsoft game and I've played them all, absolutely atrocious. I do not know why they keep doing it like this.

AnonymousOops, talked to Ansbach first because he's the first NPC you can talk to in shadow keep, now I can't progress Freyja's quest.
Why is it so easy to accidentally break these quests? This wiki isn't helping either, having all these tightly interlocked quests scattered across all these pages makes it really hard to keep track of everything.
Anonymous"By my lord, will FromSoft ever create a quest that doesn't have retarded lock-out triggers?"
I *encountered* the area boss which apparently locked out the summon-choice for Leda and Ansbach, which apparently locks me out from getting the letter for Freyja, all because I didn't find Freyja before giving the scroll to Ansbach. *sigh*
Anonymousyou can kill her after giving her the letter, and she Will Drop her amor and sword

AnonymousWhen first arrive at shadow keep 7th floor, I found Freyja hostile, why?

Anonymousshe really does fight like a strength user, constant jump attack and lions claw spam

So you're telling me I CAN give her the letter, get ALL drops and HAVE to fight her and Leda.
Or I can NOT give her the letter, get ALL drops and DO NOT fight her?
AnonymousI just told him about Freyja and he's not giving me the letter...

AnonymousThe guide is wrong/outdated. I told him about freyja and he didnt give me the letter, I gave him the scroll. I went back to the bonfire and he was still there, and then he gave me the letter.

Anonymous
AnonymousRedmane Freyja tryng to read might be the most wholesome and weirdly adorable part of this DLC. Just this big based warrior trying to figure out what is carved down, thinking out loud while I'm fighting all the stuff outside.

AnonymousIn my case I had to reload the area to get the letter, after I gave him the scroll

AnonymousIf you give Ansbach the scroll before completing Freyja's quest, you can still get her gear by going to the 7th floor storeroom grace after she dies.

Anonymousfighting for my life against the fire knights and she keeps yapping about this jumble

AnonymousSo far I haven't been able to replicate the Freyja Double armor and weapon drop...
I've tried to not do her quest at all, but that does nothing... do people just not mess with her at all and miss her? I at least talk to her, but continuing and beating the quad still only drops one set
Anonymous"You will not be able to acquire the Letter for Freyja if you have given Sir Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll before you talk to him about Freya."
wrong, you can
Anonymous
I never saw the summoning signs at Ansbach's location near Store House First Floor Grace, instead I found them going right from Main Gate Plaza, up the stairs and they are right at the rightside of the top of the stairs. You see them if you are on the way to the ladder to the waterfall that are on the right side at the burning ships.

AnonymousCan someone confirm the following? I’m doing my 2th playthrough in the dlc, but this time I decided I will go without summons - uncluding both npc and spirit ash. I just defeated the divine beast and it seems Freja’s questline stucked, every time I talk to her she says “In battle, you can be sure I’ll hold my own.” Did I messed up her questline by not summoning her for the Divine Beast bossfight or it will progress forward once I reach the next turning point?

If you give Ansbach the Secret Rite Srcoll before talking to Freya, find Freya before resting, talk to her, then return to Ansbach and he will give you the letter. Do this without resting at a site of grace. Worked for me Just now.
