Perfumer Tricia and Misbegotten Warrior is a Field Boss in Elden Ring. Tricia is a spellcaster who prefers to remain at range and carries a shield, while Misbegotten Warrior is an extremely agile creature wielding a greatsword. This is an optional bossfight, as players don't need to defeat them in order to advance in Elden Ring.

Misbegotten Warriors also appears in the Leonine Misbegotten, Crucible Knight and Misbegotten Warrior, and Misbegotten Crusader boss fights. Perfumer Tricia can be summoned for aid in battle by using the Perfumer Tricia Ashes.

Perfumer Tricia Combat information

Negations (or Absorptions)

The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.

Resistances

The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs. The values after the "/"s indicate the increased resistances after each successive proc.

Elden Ring Perfumer Tricia and Misbegotten Warrior Boss Guide

Perfumer Tricia and Misbegotten Warrior Fight Strategy

The Best Tips for Perfumer Tricia and Misbegotten Warrior:

  • Dodge or move to the side of the arena as soon as you enter the fog gate. The Misbegotten Warrior almost always lunges at the door when the fight begins. Wait until you are clear to use any summons if you are opting for that.
  • Use tanky Spirit Ashes or ones with good stagger such as the Lone Wolf Ashes to distract the Misbegotten.
  • Get close to Tricia and pummel her with melee attacks to break her stance and get a critical attack in. Finish her off before your summons are killed.
  • See Leonine Misbegotten Fight Strategy

Melee Users

This encounter has a steep difficulty due to the very aggressive, very powerful Misbegotten Warrior who will always close the distance. Tricia herself does not pose much of a threat as she will attempt to maintain distance and cast spells that hit in a wide arc from medium range. When the fight begins, summon your best Spirits in order to distract the Misbegotten and then immediately get up close to Tricia and pummel her with fast melee strikes. This will cause her to pull up her shield which does little to reduce damage from your constant barrage. It is also exceedingly easy to break her stance, setting her up for a highly damaging critical attack. Try to get rid of Tricia before your summons expire or get killed.

For the Misbegotten Warrior, do not attempt to create distance as the arena is relatively small and he has leaping attacks that travel a great distance. Whenever he swings horizontally, dodge through the attack utilizing your roll's iframes instead of dodging backwards. Dodging backwards increases the time his sword's hitbox overlaps with your hitbox, causing a hit. This is especially important since he will likely have you with your back against the wall most of the time. Always try to get behind him and hit him once or twice. Do not get greedy. For his vertical slashes, always dodge sideways. In fact, the only time you should be dodging backwards is when he leaps to perform his slam attack, but even then, you should be moving diagonally.

Magic and Ranged Users

Similarly to the Melee Strategy, do not attempt to create distance against the Misbegotten Warrior. Dodge through his attacks and use basic, quick-firing spells such as Glintstone Pebble when his back is turned. Consider using Melee-based Glintstone sorceries as well as these are typically cast much faster as a tradeoff for having little to no ranged capabilities. Just as with melee users, use a Spirit summon in the beginning and take Tricia out immediately to get her out of the way and then focus on the Misbegotten.

If not, you can attempt to separate them in the arena and choose to focus on the Misbegotten Warrior since Tricia's moveset is vert slow-moving and limited. It is recommended that Tricia be kept to the middle while you face the warrior towards the edges of the arena so that you can use the pillars lining the walls to block Tricia's perfume. Focus on one before the other. Once you get close to Tricia, it should be easier to clear her.

Perfumer Tricia Attacks & Counters

Attack Description Counter
Perfume Burst Tricia releases a slow moving orange mist in a wide arc in front of her that detonates after a short delay. This can be dealt in an over arch pattern or a sweeping side pattern.  Roll through the attack as it does not hit at melee range.
Burst This one is a shorter ranged perfume burst, almost dealt like a melee attack where perfume is bursts upon release.   You can keep your shield up for this action create some distance, which will take you out of range for this attack.

So this gal was minding her own business, tending to the dregs of society, and then we just walk in and kill her? Wow that's ****ed up

AT SL31 and +5 bloodhounds fang, you rush for Tricia and move to the right of them. If they're slow enough and Tricia doesn't rush forward: finesse + R2 kills Tricia and if you line it up right, also damages the warrior. Then you repeat as soon as that warrior gives you an opening.

        • Anonymous

At RL1 I used volcano pots to both kill the perfumer first, and make the Warrior jump around to avoid them. Once the Perfumer is dead the Warrior is easy.

          • Anonymous

Was kind of weak when I got here on my first playthrough so I got rekt. I guess at a decent power level you can trivialize this fight idk.

            • Anonymous

This and argurably the Spirit-Caller Snail in the Mountaintops (not sure if that counts since you only fight one Godskin at a time) are literally the only multibosses in the entire game I kind of enjoyed. It's still two reused enemies and that kinda sucks, especially since one of them isn't even a boss on their own, but at least they actually compliment each other by design and end up providing an interesting challenge, instead of either ganging up on you and forcing you to use Spirit Ashes to get any consistent openings, or having one stand back and do absolutely nothing while you wail on the other. And their lore is pretty interesting to boot.

Magma Wyrm's Scalesword +9 absolutely wrecked this duo in 2-3 shots (Faith 50 and Strength 25 + Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength)

                • If you want this to be a short and easy fight - Greatshield soldier ashes. At +4 they completely distracted both of the duo making this trivial. Once misbegotten beast was down (his back was turned and easily staggered) they actually backed the perfumer into a corner and she had nothing to do but die. I Often see this wiki recommend "tanky" spirit ashes but for bosses like this where the gimmick is they just never stop attacking, they never seem to grab their attention. 5 guys with big shields is pretty hard to ignore though and pretty hard to facetank. I duel wield katana's and shield bros mess me up, so it makes sense this would work for bosses with the same approach to fighting.

                  • I was honestly shocked at the effectiveness of Rot Breath on Tricia. She had her bubble shield up, I cast it, giving her a full blast so she got good and infected... and it killed her before I was done casting. Rot Breath took her apart.

                    • Anonymous

The upgraded marionette soldiers spirit ash quickly deletes one of the duo. Each time the marionettes take damage, they immediately begin to spam arrows.

                      • Anonymous

This page emphasises the misbegotten warrior as being aggressive and powerful, but it didn't rush me as soon as I crossed the fog door so I had enough time to summon a spirit ash gank squad then started hammering it with the stone of gurranq incantation, Tricia didn't last long after that.

                        • Anonymous

So basically you kill a healer, who has done nothing but devote herself to healing and caring for the impure, and her patient?

                          • Anonymous

Much like other people, I used a summons (+3 skeletons) to keep one of them (spellcaster) busy while I focused on the beast. Skeletons actually got the spellcaster down to 20% hp in the time I killed the beast. Very easy fight, only had to pot once.

                            • You just just need to bait Misbegotten Warrior to one side of the room and it's pretty much just you and him. Tricia prefers to stay in one spot and cast her buffs or defend, If you can keep them operated than it's just another Misbegotten Warrior fight with about half the space. Really easy.

I'm a tanky strength/faith build with a big shield. I summoned Oleg and focused on tanking the Misgotten Warrior. Oleg eviscerated the woman and then we tag teamed the poor warrior.

As a mage the relentless beastman doesn't really give much time for a summon. I decided to summon with a trade. I used a boiled prawn consumable to boost phys res for a limited time. Dodged the first combo and then summoned. With the buff i lost around half of my hp bar and my summon made short work of this fight after that.

                                  • Anonymous

I used the greatshield summon and it was a piece of cake. they cornered the beast and the rest is history.

                                    • Anonymous

I did it with ease, I used the "Lhutel the Headless" legendary summon which gets bodied by the warrior relatively quick. They key is to go in summon something that lasts a bit and survive the first attack from the Warrior charging at you. Equip some dagger with the "Bloodhound's step" weapon art or or use the normal dash one and dash away immediately. By then your summon should have aggro and you can quickly heal/get fp whatever you need.

After which you can kill the perfumer quickly and dispose of the warrior as you see fit. Ranged works well, towershield does a banging job as well. You can 2H your towershield and kill the perfumer with it. The warrior won't be able to get through a 2H tower shield. I just abandoned casting at the start of the fight. :D

The strat that worked for me was parry the dogs first attack, summon a spirit then go after the mage while the dog is distracted.

                                        • Anonymous

best strat i did was hug the side when he does the lunge attack, summon spirits (i used skeleton militia) and backstab the mage.
