Perfumer is a Humanoid Enemy in Elden Ring. Perfumers are humanoid enemies that wield swords, and can use their perfumes to throw exploding sparks to buff their allies with a protective shield.

The spirit of a Perfumer, Perfumer Tricia, can be summoned for aid in battle by using Perfumer Tricia Ashes. She is also fought as Boss, for information on this see Perfumer Tricia.

See Perfumer Lore

In time past, the role of perfumer was much respected; a blessed apothecary in the eyes of the many. But after entering the battlefields of the Shattering they performed no such role, trading their aromatics for poisons and explosives

Elden Ring Perfumer Notes & Tips

  • Their bubble shield acts similarly to the Opaline Bubbletear, giving their allies massive damage reduction for one attack, allowing them to stay alive much longer.
  • There is a more aggressive version known as the Depraved Perfumer.

Lore Items Related to Perfumer

Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Carmaan, the depraved perfumer.

Depraved perfumers practice their art for themselves alone. Carmaan was a notably formidable perfumer whose strength rivaled that of heroes, and it is said that he was in search of a secret physick of revivification.

Depraved Perfumer Headscarf

Headscarf worn by depraved perfumers.

These heresy-inclined perfumers imbibe their own spices to alter body and mind. Their slow descent into self-destruction is what earned them their name.

Depraved Perfumer Robe

Robe worn by depraved perfumers. The embroidery on the apron is itself a curse upon the Erdtree.

These heresy-inclined perfumers imbibe their own spices to alter body and mind. Their slow descent into self-destruction is what earned them their name.

Omenkiller Rollo

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Omenkiller Rollo.

Spirit of Rollo, known as the first Omenkiller. Once a famous perfumer, Rollo imbibed a physick to rid himself of emotion, thus enabling him to enact his nightmarish labor, hunting the Omen.

Perfume Bottle

Glass bottles used by perfumers. Used to seal various scent compounds.

Essential vessel for crafting perfume items.

The art of perfuming was once jealously guarded in the capital, but after the perfumers were drafted into service during the Shattering, the art became widely practiced throughout the Lands Between.

Perfumer Hood

Hood of an Erdtree Capital perfumer.

In time past, the role of perfumer was much respected; a blessed apothecary in the eyes of the many. But after entering the battlefields of the Shattering they performed no such role, trading their aromatics for poisons and explosives.

Perfumer Robe

Robe of an Erdtree Capital perfumer.

The thick front apron embroidered with a depiction of the Erdtree is proof of mastery of the apothecarial arts, and its weight symbolizes the onus of both pride and responsibility.

Perfumer's Traveling Garb

Garb of a traveling perfumer of no renown.

An associate of a healer, he is said to be in search of new aromatics and flower gardens, in hopes of treating Misbegotten, Omen and all those seen as impure.

Perfumer Tricia Ashes

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Tricia, the perfumer.

Tricia was once known as a healer who dedicated her efforts to treating Misbegotten, Omen, and all those seen as impure. When her efforts failed, she was their companion as they died, watching over them to ensure that they could pass peacefully, free of pain.

A tale akin to the origins of the deathbed companions.

How to kill these guys in melee: move away until they stop spamming if need be. Then just sprint straight at them and light attack them to death. Their perfume spray move takes too long to stop you and will ignite safely behind you, and their daggers are too short for them to try to pre-empt your attack. Stunlock them to death.

I like to think these guys are responsible for all the buildings in Leyndell that are full of potted plants.

        • I've found that jumping over their flame attacks rather than rolling through it works pretty well. If you don't completely clear it you at least don't take all of the hit. If you time it right you can do a jumping r2 to stagger them then r1 spam them until they dodge away.

The amount of damage these *******s do is disgusting if you aren't pressuring them as much as possible, two hits from the firey powder they threw at me was enough to nearly two-shot me a 60 vigor, which is just complete bullshit if i'm being honest, it's not like i wasn't wearing any decent armor either, the damage numbers of enemies in this game just feels stupidly overtuned at times.

For any melee players struggling with these guys... They are vulnerable to backstabs. Roll through their wide horizontal perfume attacks towards their back. They recover slow enough for you to get behind and backstab them.

im the one who completely hates all the perfume fire spells used by either these enemies or any other? the particles are so bright and have almost no player feedback when they hit, it feels so weird

Even after getting comfortable with their moveset, I'm still getting hit whenever I try to make a play because they can cover their own openings so quickly. Does anyone have any advice so I can struggle with these guys less?

                      • Anonymous

You need to kill these guys fast and from a distance. Once they start using flame perfume arts, they won't really stop. I'm talking 0 cool down, it's just one after the other. This essentially creates a wall of fire that removes about 1/2 of your health bar per frame.

They're annoying to fight, but I really love their ascetic design. I just wish those explosive powders were an item or skill you could use.

From the Unsightly Catacomb Site of Grace go up the slope, there is one Perfumer on your right and 2 in the Perfumer's Ruins on your left.

Genuinely not sure how the player is supposed to fight these things. Ranged attacks work, and backstabs work, but once they start slinging their explosive powders everywhere there just doesn't seem to be a reliable attack vector. They're also annoyingly immune to poison and heal themselves.

The concept is interesting, but they throw the powder everywhere and if they hit you you usually wind up eating the whole thing like a shotgun blast, which I don't think is what they intended.

This is definitely not all they drop... I've already gotten the Depraved Perfumer Gloves, 5x Budding Cave Moss, and 5x Altus Bloom (bundles of 5, that is).
