Builds with Green Turtle Talisman
AnonymousDon't misunderstand, it doesn't directly buff your attack, but does enable you to be much more aggressive wich ends in you doing more damage, and buffs your survivability by letting you roll more often. Its an all rounder.

AnonymousDon’t use this because you suck at stamina management, use this because it makes you slightly faster than whoever you are chasing.

Anonymous
AnonymousI used to enjoy this but then I learned it's better to train yourself into accepting the default stamina recovery and just stack damage boosting talismans. The game is more than balanced enough to deal with the default stamina regen speed.

AnonymousI don't notice a difference. Leveling more Endurance it is then.

Anonymousthey are NOT dogs dude. fking call them what they are. it's a TURTLE

AnonymousNot particularly flashy but easily one of the best, most consistently useful talismans in the game you use stamina so frequently it ends up having a massive impact. If you're ever wondering what to slot you absolutely cannot go wrong with turty

So do I need to calculate how much it gives to me or is it a flat 8 per second and that 17.7% is just a Red Herring?

AnonymousCall me crazy, but I vaguely remember that when elden ring came out, this talisman would blow you up if you hurt or eat turtle's

Anonymous
AnonymousLowkey I kinda wish it's shaped like the other seed talisman

AnonymousThe pickled turtle neck boost is slightly better. Save a talisman slot and just farm all turtles.

AnonymousNot quite as essential as it is in souls, just because ER has higher base regen and many ways to absolutely ruin a boss's day with little stamina, but it's still very good and if you have a spare slot, this is always equipped.

Anonymous
AnonymousMaking any build that doesn't use this talisman is the purest form of heresy.
It's also just a bad idea to not use this. I mean cmon. It's literally the single best talisman in the game and the only stamina effect you'll ever need.
AnonymousDoes anyone know if this has any effect on the initial recovery is stamina from having depleted it? To Clarify, there is a period after depleting your stamina where you cannot do anything until it starts recovering. Does this have an effect where that period is shortened?

AnonymousSame boost as a +1 chloranthy ring from Dark Souls 3. A must have in invasions to chase people and avoid being chased in open world. In legacy dungeons, you stop a lot and do a whole less running so it’s not as useful. Out of all weapons Black Bow and other short bows benefit the most from increased stamina recovery.

AnonymousI didnt find this talisman until I faced Malenia and checked for tips to beat her lol

Anonymous
AnonymousEver since I discovered this, I've never been able to go without it. Goated

AnonymousTalisman is good for players like me who panic roll at the slightest inconvenience.

Anonymousthis is only good if u notice that ur running out of stamina often, like with a colossal weapon build or something. if u put this on ur curved greatsword build it is not going to do anything at all and be a complete waste.

AnonymousI don’t see a lot of builds using this, even though it’s really good.

AnonymousThis combined with Braggart’s Roar, Flame Grant Me Strength and the Greenburst Crystal tear is downright absurd… every colossal weapon user’s wet dream.

AnonymousAs someone power stanceing two Colossal Swords, I don't see myself unequipping this talisman without drastically changing the way I fight.

Anonymous
AnonymousPretty much a mandatory talisman if you rocking under 130 stamina. 18% stamina regen is ****ing broken.

AnonymousI cant believe i missed this item after i killed the boat guy. One of the best/most versatile talisman in the game right from the start, finally know it exists 200 hours and halfway through my 2nd playthrough

Great in PvP for any powerstanced heavy weapons build. I run this w/ dual Nightrider Glaives along with Flame, Grant Me Strength & Braggart’s Roar for additional stamina regen (+23 Sta/sec total) in duels.
The combined buffs make a huge difference in keeping pressure up in 1v1s while swinging big weapons. Defensively, less stamina recovery time also means less time spent vulnerable to counters.
On its own, however, without any other buffs (FGMS, Braggart’s, pickled turtle neck, etc.) the stamina regen on this talisman would probably not be noticeable. Very much a niche item.

AnonymousAnybody else feel a bit guilty when taking it? Felt a bit like you were stealing the sacred treasure of some turtle village? Or was that just me? I couldn't do it. I turned around and left. Wouldn't wanna hurt the feelings of the blessed tortillas :)

AnonymousHonestly not Great... Don't get me wrong now, it's still helpful for PvP builds that are more aggression biased or for Late game PvE, But overall an extra +8 stamina Regen isn't worth the slot, for most players you can easily get and grind Pickled turtle necks that give +10 for 60 seconds...
If it was +10 itself or even had a +1 version that gave +10 regen and then a +2 that gave +12 regen, then this would've been one of the best Talismans, but as it stands, It's not entirely worth in the game VS other Titles, as ER has decently high regen anyway and unless you're slow rolling, stamina regen shouldn't be an issue for the average player and even then, there's a fairly easy to farm consumable to help you out.
FromSoft, Please just buff several of the Talismans, they're in an odd place for some, or borderline useless, while others are irraplacable, They don't have to be strong, but they could've been a lot better. (mainly talking crap about Erdtree's Favor... FromSoft what the hell... you had one job with that Talisman and it's weaker than all other games in the Series, Even DS3's Base level one is stronger than the +2 of that talisman!)
Anonymousall the stamina regen stuff is really good for PvP. it lets you keep pressure on even when the other players retreat. i stack this with the shield and physic tear, and just blender people with claws

AnonymousYou should fix that typo. It should say "Green Dog Talisman"

AnonymousThe numbers look good, but how noticeable is the effect in practice? Elden Ring seems to have the lowest stamina consumption of any Soulsborne game ever, and veteran players already have their stamina management down to a science.

AnonymousI'm 200 hours in and never noticed that place after killing the mariner ghost... I've never also noticed D around that place, I just passed by randomly and killed the dude, I'm baffled

Anonymous
AnonymousArguably the single most important talisman in the entire game. Your stamina regeneration is already high, but the rogues gallery of the Lands Between are all incredibly aggressive and put extreme strain on your stamina.
You should always equip this, no matter your build. It's just that good.

AnonymousWaste of slot. The game already provides fast stamina recovery. It was useful in ds2 cuz everything was so damn slow.

Anonymous
Anonymous
AnonymousLiterally the best talisman in the game and a must pick-up anytime you start a new game.

AnonymousGreen Turtle 17.7% Stamina Regen is BETTER than the Great Shield Talisman 10% Boost increase....especially since the Great Shield Talisman seems to be nerfed when you get close to 100% Boost (such as on GreatShields, for example).
So, if you are using a Guard Counter build, then this is the wiser choice.
AnonymousIf I’m fat rolling would this leave me with higher stam recovery than normal? Been fat rolling in duels and haven’t noticed any drawbacks besides recovery but this is a good thing when using a roll attack to roll catch. And of course I can’t escape rivers of blood specifically

AnonymousRemember when the games were balanced in such a way that this item would've been considered OP?

Anonymous
AnonymousI never think it's going to be useful. But then I switch to Crimson Seed + Turtle Charm + Damage Reducers for a while, and suddenly, the game is way easier. The difference between 45 and 53 stam/sec doesn't seem like much, but it inspires confidence in a game with so many delayed rolls.
Plus, with all the creepy, cold, stony talismans like Graven Mass, Claw, Primal Glintstone, Branchswords, Dragoncrest, Woes, Godskin Cloth, etc., there's something really cute about holding onto a little green turtle. It's shaped like a friend, like Companion Jar.

AnonymousStamina recovery after a combo:
- without: ~1.30s
- with: ~1.15s
Honestly, I don't see why it is worth to use it.
AnonymousSeems to work while guarding/blocking with a shield. Good for greatshield users!

AnonymousIs there a +1/+2 version of this talisman in any NG+(+)? You can get +2 version of lot of talismans in NG (often named differently, like Dragoncrest Greatshield for phys reduction). Stamina regen boost is already insane with this one, I just wonder if it can be even higher. Probably not tho, 2 seconds full regen on 140+ stamina would be too insane, or would it?

Anonymousdoes this have any effect on how soon stamina regen starts, or is it just faster refill once it has already begun?

AnonymousKeep in mind the way stamina management works. Your stamina will not recover while you are performing actions, such as casting, attacking, using ashes of war, rolling, parrying, and actively blocking attacks.
You will recover stamina while blocking, but only when you aren't getting hit, and only a little.
This talisman will not cause you to be able to spam any actions for longer in one go. As for that you'd need more stamina. However it does help you recover your stamina faster inbetween actions. This can be very valuable if you know how to manage your stamina, and will likely be more valuable the higher in ng+'s you get when you can't just kill everything in a few hits.
But it is less valuable than its counterparts were such as the Chloranthy rings and the grass crest shield in the past.
The reason for this is that in previous games we didn't have infinite stamina out of combat, and we usually would have to run a lot. Meaning it was valuable both in and out of combat, whereas now it is only useful in combat.
It's not a weak talisman at all, and for builds that rely a lot on blocking and counterattacks it is really useful, however at the moment there are simply a lot of talismans that are stronger directly, such as those giving more damage.

AnonymousHave been using it on and off myself as a caster melee hybrid who has only 15 endurance.
for my playstyle it's game changer, I prefer paying less attention to my stamina and in both PVE and PVP without this ring i accidentally run out of stamina and take hits all the time
If you have found the same need to use chloranthy rings in dark souls 3 or dark souls 2, you should definitely use it in this one
My personal guess is that it gives about 20% stamina regen.
Anonymous
AnonymousI've used it on and off, and don't notice a huge difference while using it. It's good for beginners when you don't have a lot, but I feel the further you get in the game, the more you'll want to replace it, and if you're worried about replacing it for something you'd rather have more, the don't worry about it. The difference is noticeable, but enough to make it mandatory to use

Anonymous
AnonymousSurprisingly useful in lots of situations. As a caster we're usually limited by stamina rather than FP, and using it all up means you can't dodge after - this has enough of an effect to be able to cast and dodge almost endlessly, and made the Alecto fight possible with just Carian + Greatblade Phalanx and sprinting/dodging the rest of the time between casts. Much more utility than it seems at first glance since it allows for more DPS and higher survivability.

AnonymousGreen turtle talisman + green turtle shell + greenburst crystal tear OR pickle turtle neck, they can be stacked. But greenburst crystal tear and pickle turtle neck does not stack. Also crystal tear give you more stamina recovery than pickle.
My tests having 137 stamina:
No buffs= 4.0s
Talisman+shell= 2.72s
Talisman+shell+pickle= 2.20s
Talisman+shell+tear= 2.00s

AnonymousYo the guy that wrote you can upgrade this by killing 200 turtles while having this equipped is lying. Just attempted it and killed more than 200 and my talisman remained the same. Unless there's a specific way of doing it it is a false statement and is not true.

AnonymousThis talisman also increases your equip load. Took me a minute to figure out why I was suddenly doing slow rolls after equipping it.

AnonymousSeems does not stack with GREENSPILL CRYSTAL TEAR...

Can you confirm?

Anonymousgreen turtle is a souls reference, every noob would wear a grasscrest shield offhand because the stam regen passive effect

Anonymous
Anonymouswithout talisman: 148 stamina recovers 3.32 seconds = 44.5 stamina / second
with talisman: 148 stamina recovers 2.83 seconds = 52.3 stamina / second
=> ~ +17.5% (+/- 1%) stamina recovery speed
AnonymousI did a quick timing test, and it seems to increase stamina regen by about 20%.

don't mind me, just here to gawk at the noobs thinking this is worthwhile because they don't know how to manage stamina. It's like a zoo of subhumans, just look at all you little freaks, ew!
