Remember those hands at Caria Manor that bullied you just for the sake of it? Just use this talisman and any weapon that deals fire damage or any incant or AoW that deals fire damage and you can finally exact your revenge

This tali is usually the difference between my feral flame of Agheel burning true and the maidenless lout absconding with a handful of HP left. Hate that this is the world I live in.

probably dum qustion as it specifies fire damage, but does anyone know if this effects ghost flame damage

mhmm the tradeoff is not worth it. especially in the DLC where bosses have a million health and does a million damage per swing.
using this is suicidal outside the base game.

Doing some testing with bloodflame on some weapons with this tailsman. Compared it to flame tear buff to see if I was crazy to see if it would buff my dmg. Because was getting 2-3 dmg buff. I get 1 more dmg if you doing less dmg... Fire tear gives over 100 dmg buff to build. But yes it does buff ever bloodflame weapon in the game just not the armarmeant spell. Tear works on all. Fix this Fromsoftware.

To everyone saying this is useless, remember that most PvP builds utilize elemental damage rather than physical, so the damage taken increase isn’t as critical as on, say, Marika’s Soreseal, which increases ALL damage taken by 15%. This means you won’t take more damage from most spells or elemental ashes of war.

Additionally, the 8% fire damage increase may not seem like much, but when your best competition, the Flock’s Canvas Talisman, only increases incantation damage by 8%, I would say it is pretty okay, at the very least.

Having said that, I wouldn’t use this to boost weapons with some fire split damage, as the damage increase will be negligible (unless you really want to boost its ash of war).

It does also improve the damage of eleanoras poleblade and rivers of blood since they deal bloodflame damage. I think it works also with the bloodflame blade incarntation as well, in case you want to make a crazy bleedbuild even crazier ^^

Why tf does it have to go from 10 to 15% more physical damage taken in pvp? Is reducing it's damage not enough? tf...

I wonder how fast I could melt bosses with dual wielded flame infuse weapons, this, Flame Grant me Strength, Golden Vow and the Flame Shrouding Cracked Tear?
Be a jerk move in PvP and I'd understand getting bonked for buffing that many times, but bosses are nice and wait most of the time.

Does bleed count as physical damage in this case? If not, 15% more physical is not even that much of a downside since all you fight is rivers of blood and stars of ruin anyway.

This definitely increases fire arrow damage, idk what the other guy is saying. I went from 327 damage to 336 damage with the talisman equipped.

Unless you're playing a pure caster, probably not worth for a pvp toon. That damage debuff is pretty significant.

Pretty stupid that he gives 8% damage in exchange for taking 15% more in PvP. Why is everything crap for elemental builds?

for some odd reason stacking this with the flame shrouding tear seems to lower my flame spit damage by about 200

I don't notice fire damage increase on Eleanors Poleblade using this talisman. Anyone else have the same issue?

Just confirmed this buffs pots like Fire Pot and Volcano Pot. Threw a regular fire pot at a Haligtree Knight with no fire scorp charm and it did 475. Reset level, equipped charm and threw another regular fire pot at the same knight, and it did 512 (12% increase like in the entry). Saw noticeable damage increase with the constant fire damage of the Volcano pot as well.

Fire Incantations already get it kind of rough, why does there scorpion charm gotta be so far into the game?

This is almost carbon copy of the Fire Clutch Ring from DS3. Instead of increasing fire damage 15% in PvE and 8% in PvP, it apparently increases it by 12% in any situation. The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman is a good companion here, as it boosts physical absorptions by more than this ring decreases them!

The same is true for any Scorpion Charm, I might add. The Greathsield Talisman can potentially cancel the malus given by two of them, if you are using a dual elemental weapon, like the Sword of Night and Flame.

Damage negation is -10% across all physical types and it does not stack additively.

Tested by wearing no armor and no talismas aside from the charm, status screen showed damage negation -10% for physical/strike/shash/pierce and 0% for all others.

Put on the veteran set, no charm, physical negation was at 35.588%. Added the charm and it went to 29.147% (an overall change of 6.4%). But that change of 6.4% still equates to taking 10% more damage than you would with just the armor on. An attack that would have done 64 damage at 36% negation would do 71 at 29% negation.

                                            • Anonymous

Percent fire damage increase seems to be about 12%, and it seems to lower physical defenses by about 7 flat damage negation.

                                              • This does work for most black fire.. works with Black Fire, Scouring Black Flame, Black Blade, and Rykard's Rancor, and the Blasphemous Blade greatsword. However it doesn't work with Ancient Death Rancor or the Explosive Ghostflame initial explosion.

Did some quick testing and it removed about 5 points of phys dmg negation with heavy armor and 7 points with light armor which is strange. Magic/fire/lightning/holy negation is not affected. Some quick numbers with the golden order seal +9 (godslayer seal +24 was bad) 42 int 46 faith:

                                                with fire talisman +0
                                                833 charged black flame
                                                588 non-charged black flame

                                                without fire talisman +0
                                                749 charged black flame
                                                530 non-charged black flame

                                                ~10% dmg increase?

It's in the Fort Laiedd in Mt. Gelnir, uppermost floor, westernmost corner, hidden on the outside on a wooden platform (need to jump over the wall), accompanied by a ghost that speaks without being prompted.
