Elden Ring Faith-Knot Crystal Tear Builds

AnonymousDepends on the build, I'm sure, but those ten levels sound like they could be put to use elsewhere...

AnonymousFor builds not otherwise planning to invest into Faith but to use Golden Vow and Flame, Give Me Strength, is it worth sacrificing a Crystal Tear slot for this?

AnonymousGo out the northern doorway of the demi human forest ruins straight line north all the way to cliff edge, stop and then rotate your camera 2 points west (halfway between the N and W on your compass), you should be staring directly at it with some of the (little) poison flowers surrounding it.

AnonymousIf my faith is 99 already, is this tear going to add a value ?

When used to boost from 70 Faith to 80 Faith, the Erdtree Seal gains 50 more Incantation Scaling (which is about equivalent to a 12.77% increase) and this is a universal buff to any Incantations you cast, unlike the Holy or Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear which can only buff one element by 12.5% but can affect things like Infused weapons much more favorably than the Knot Tear... but you could also use both at the same time for multiple damage increases that provide relatively bigger boosts than something like the Opaline Hardtear provides in equivalent Negation (10% < 12.77% and/or 12.5%), where you could then allocate those 10 stats into something else such as Endurance, wearing heavier armor will provide a smaller but practically free Negation, Poise and also Stamina boost as a bonus. It's all about shifting your perspective really, if there was an Endurance-Knot Crystal Tear you know people would be running it. This is not accounting for the Winged Crystal Tear by the way, that thing is just so busted I don't consider it when calculating optimal builds because I don't want to get crippled by someone randomly running Law of Regression or more recently, Leda's Sword.

And here I am, wondering how that invader could cast fortissax' lightning at lvl 30 in stormveil, silly me

AnonymousThe dumbest spell ever made. Sorcery but requires faith, deals blood loss so it needs arcane and all arcane scaling staffs need like 21 arcane lol. Big brain From is at it again lol.

It's not showing up for me either. On journey 3. Maybe it switches locations on each NG cycle? Or is it just a bug and they forgot to add it in other NG+

Anonymousdirectly east is death, You will fall down the cliff and die, and even if you do live, its just a river.

AnonymousI've been playing since the beginning and didn't even know this exist

Anonymousdirectly east of the church of pilgrimage is a river mate... you mean south east.

Anonymousa quick tip: if you want to use a buff before a fight as pure melee or sorcerer, just jug this for extra 10 faith. No need to spend points in faith at all. You can apply most buffs 2 or 3 times while tear is active as it lasts for 3 minutes

AnonymousThis or the Faith-knot Crystal Tear for better damage on sacred affinity?

Tf nothing else you can use this to get over 12 faith so you can use Heal to kill (Royal) Revnents.

AnonymousThis is great for melee builds that normally want 15 faith for beast incantations, basic dragon incantations and flame, grant me strength. Drinking this before a boss gives you 25 faith, granting you access to golden vow, blessing's boon, the 60% elemental damage reduction spells, and the stronger dragon incantations like Ezykes's Decay. You can pretty much get access to all the good buffs and status moves with barely any faith investment. If you want to also use the faith talisman and/or Godrick's Rune, you can get all the good spells with even less faith.

AnonymousPretty useful for putting your faiths from 70 to 80 to get that final softcap, and use those 10 saved point for stats such as endurance or strenght/dex to use heavier weapons such as greatswords or halberd. If you're planning to use lighter, less stats required weapons and maxxing faith to 80, its not as useful.

AnonymousI wonder if this is better than the Lightning Crystal Tear if i'm only using Lightning Incantations...

AnonymousIs there anyone that knows where i can find this? I already visited 2 minor Erdtrees but i found 2 other knots, i would love to get this

One of those 'maybe, maybe not' kind of tears.
On a lowbie who can't meet soft caps and has 36 faith, my Euporia goes from 510 AR to 539 AR. A Fire Coil goes from 745 on a target dummy to 835. A Furnace Pot, 950 to 1050. If I use a Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear instead, the Euporia raises to 580, but obviously it has no effect on Fire Coils or Furnace Pots, and there's no hefty-holy pot equivalent.
In short, like with many aspects of the game, it's more effective to specialize in one element and use buffs and talismans that improve that one element than it is to increase your stats to try and raise all elements.
