AnonymousI like this for two reasons.
1: It looks cool as sh1t
2: bleed go brrrrr
Anonymouswhenever i try to do another build this weapons start whispering to me like the green goblin

Anonymousthis is the best weapon i ever touched with my dex / arc bleed build. If you know your weapon and get used to moveset for specific situations, this weapon rules. I never touch anything except for buffs after i get hands on this and plused to +10

AnonymousBloodflame build (eleonora main) level 150 :
prophet
Vig 60, mnd 14, end 25, str 16, dex 38, int 7, faith 19, arc 50.
This build uses dragon communion seal and eleonoras poleblade as mains, with spells: flys, bloodflame talons, blade of ansbach (ng+) ,bloodboon and other spells to your liking.
You can also two hand mogghwyn spear for its skill and bloody helice, rivers of blod, and many blood infused weapons.
Talismans are millicent proboscys, lord of blod, dragoncrest, turtle talisman
If you push past 150 go for more arcane first and then dex, faith if casting more incantations like ancient dragon ones
Crystal tears are thorny cracked and opaline hardtear.
Enjoy
AnonymousNope man the weapon is ass because i dont know how to use it. U cant even spam the skill to kill every boss in the game for free like you can with greatsword lions claw = its useless dogshit

AnonymousThis weapon is really good: great moveset, solid damage, rocket-fast bleed and fantastic AoW. It is also a good source of fire damage for a Dex/Arc build that does not generally have access to it. Due to the split Slash/Fire damage, it greatly benefits from FGMS.

AnonymousMy favorite weapon in the game. Cool moveset and decent damage. Plus the bleed and insane poise damage on charged R2.

AnonymousYall nerds need to remember ppl use weapons they have fun with. Walls of text just to blah blah about "best". No dude, by that logic everyone should just use star fists with cragblade in full verdigris armor like a buzz copy

Anonymous
I will never understand why they waste time making these special attacks just to make the weapon kinda mediocre.

AnonymousThe wiki does need to say that you at least need to KILL Yura for her to spawn, as I went there without talking to him at all and he didn't spawn. After killing him, she spawns. That's the only requirement, his quest, or his death.

AnonymousThe AoW is very bad when you are fighting against hyper-armor enemy unless you want to trade

AnonymousIs the fire damage enhanced by the Flame Give Me Strength incantation?

AnonymousIts aow can easily one-shot players in PvP. However, it requires about 0.5 seconds to charge up, and it can be easily interrupted with a jumping attack when using a greatsword or other large weapons

AnonymousI think people miss its best application, being paired with a cold infused twinblade.
Jumping L1s will rapidly apply frost and bleed and clear the frost all in 1. Is that as good as pure bleed? probably not but works well enough and works well against bleed immune or resistant enemies. This does mean 90% of your damage is coming from bleed and frost procs tho.
AnonymousThis discussion section alone confirmed the biggest suspicions I've had about the fanbase, including those who think that just because they can't stagger enemies, including bosses, with a charged jump attack in two hits or less think the weapons are "trash".
People beat this game with a club and a loincloth. If the weapon is fun to you, then it's a good weapon. If it's not fun to you, then find another weapon out of the hundreds in the game. Jev watchers who use magic and/or super strength builds just need to cope that others don't play on EZ mode and enjoy the vibe, look, and/or weapon skill despite it not being OP.
Anonymousthe skill is insanely good, because it completely trivializes every non-boss enemy in the game. all you do is press L2 once and anything in front of you dies instantly.U can even do it with ur eyes closed. Ppl who say this weapon is bad forget that most of this game is regular enemies and dungeons, not bosses. Just because its not amazing at killing bosses doesn't mean it's bad.

AnonymousIt IS the best unique twinblade. And for most situations and bosses, it is the strongest twinblade overall. Why?
Unique heavies are flashy but honestly crap, unlike say Peeler who got actual useful unique heavies. However...
This has innate bleed and good damage, while being very light. It might be not THE BEST, but weight(stamina consumption)/damage ratio is unmatched. You don't care for weight if you are lvl 150+ sure, but on lower levels, it is significant.
Main selling point however, is the skill. It is not only the best skill available for twinblades, but is probably one of the strongest skills in the GAME, if only for its stagger. It has deals high poise damage so it staggers enemies with every spurt, and it has RIDICULOUS stance damage. There is not a single skill who could stance-break a banished knight or a fire knight in one use like this one... well, not anymore.
Stance-breaking capabilities of this skill are so ridiculous for the cost that you can spam it even in coop for juicy crits, and the fact it doesn't knock enemies down means it is useful against mini bosses and knights, too, because knockdowns let built up stance decay too much. 1 skill into crit is usually gg for any but the toughest mobs.
And status is always good, of couse, bc % damage. But if you meet a bleed-immune enemy, you will beat him with Eleonora's easily because of stance breaks and good dmg. Other twinblades, especially blood-infused? Will fail miserably.
Euporia is good, but has weaker unique skill and is found in a secret location after you beat most of DLC. And is useless for coop bc no bleed means no % damage. This babe is found in friggin Altus and it slaps.
As a weapon it is solid, as a full package including skill it is one of the strongest weapons in the game. No other skill breaks stance so fast for such little fp
AnonymousThis comment section can be summed up as feelings over facts. The weapon is outdamaged by other twinblades. The weapon is outbled by Blood infused twinblades. The weapon has slower and lower DPS R2s than other twinblades. The only thing this weapon does better than other twinblades is have a "better" ash of war, and that is highly debatable as well. I don't care if you think this is the most fun weapon in the game, it isn't very good. Nothing wrong with that, it isn't a slight against anyone, just like you might have a favorite character in a fighting game but they might not be good. I'm going to get disliked to hell and back on this comment, but the comment section on this page compared to everywhere else is pure delusion. o7

AnonymousAre the poise numbers wrong or does this really do 900 poise damage?

AnonymousWhy does the bleed damage under the weapon details say 56, then in the upgrades it says 30, but mine says 33?

AnonymousIf you have trouble learning to parry this or any other attack, try it on a Sanguine Noble in their parry stance, they will... show you the timing... Next, parry a metal wall to see when sparks fly, that is the timing of your parry tool. Time it so that your tool's parry coincides with the time that the attack was parried by noble.

Anonymousjust curious, how effective is it against things that don't bleed?

AnonymousSuch a fun weapon, it's definitely got one of my favourite movesets 2-handing, r1's come out very quickly so you can get that rotten wing/Millicents proc in less than 2 seconds, timing the charged r2 can be tricky but its a great move once you nail it, the jump heavy does pretty good stagger. I don't use the ash much but getting a full 2 parter in can also break stancea (the initial wind up takes a second so wait for the right time)

this has more bleed build up than rivers of blood (atleast on melee attacks)
does that mean it's better?
AnonymousBloodblade Dance can easily hit for excesses of 5k when properly buffed. This is best powerstanced with a Blood Godskin Peeler and then abusing the four hit jump attacks to proc Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged and Blood's Exultation. Fire Tear, FGMS, Golden Vow and Shard of Alexander make it do 5k without bleed on fire and physical neutral enemies. I recommend carrying either Bloody Helice or Obsidian Lamina as a secondary as their aows are strong when Bloodblade is weak.

AnonymousThis is the most overpowered weapon I have ever used. Stack the multi-hit damage up stuff, cast Flame Grant Me Strength, and mash the weapon art until the boss dies. What a waste of time making an int build when this exists.

AnonymousSeems like this blade has the same tsuba (handguard) as black mortal blade from Sekiro.

AnonymousUsing this on a bleed build and i'm in shock at how easy this thing makes the game become. And it could be acquired super early if you do yura's quest before anything else.

AnonymousI fall in love with this at first time I used its R2. That was so beautiful, my lovelly waifu char spinning like a bayblade wearing the complete noble set, all that cloth swinging, that was impressive. The amount of blood that soaks my girl whole white clothes while she is making a genocide is insane.

AnonymousIt works with the two handed talisman? I try, but i don't see any changes in the damage , thanks!

Anonymous
Anonymous"If Rivers of Blood is so good, why isn't there a Rivers of Blood 2?"

Anonymousits really sad that it isnt slash damage. those curved blades literally screaming there. but hey.. at least its good for heavy armor cuz of the pierce

AnonymousWhyyyyy does'nt it deal slash damage?
Even the description says that it's a twinned Naginata, and the Cross-Naginata does deal Slash damage, so why can't the Poleblade?

Anonymoushonestly dont understand the hype around the charged r2. its so abysmally slow that it doesnt fit in any damage windows

Anonymousthis, RoB, and rakshasas great katana with rakshasa set for red man build

AnonymousActually amazing when transitioning from a powerstancing dex/arc katana build

AnonymousUse this with the helm of night and you got a Darth Maul cosplay

AnonymousI am Maria, Blade of The astral clocktower, and I have never known defeat

Aaah you were at my sight all along.. My true mentor. My guiding pole.. *spurt splurt whoosh BLEED stance breaking sound crit*

AnonymousI'm looking to use this but I have no idea what to pair this with, sure another twinblade would be op but it looks kinda off to dual wield these, even weirder than wielding twin colossals

Anonymousin the shadowd erdtree. straight up "beyblading it". and by "it", haha, well. let's just say. my twined polebeards.

AnonymousDon't sleep on powerstancing these. If you're tired of spamming the AoW, try the jumping L1 with two of these at +10. Blood just ejector-seats clean out of anything in range.

AnonymousI can hear her...as clear as day...the lady of the astral clocktower

AnonymousIf you have this, and fights a guy with a Green sword, it's guaranteed that you will win.
If you use this against a guy with a Blue sword, then... You're damned.
AnonymousHow I solo noobed Malenia with her 4 weaknesses: blood, fire, flinch & low poise.
Pole blade +10, turtle shield, white mask (rest thorn set), charms: Alexander shard, fire scorpion, rotten winged sword, blood exultation, incants: golden vow & flame grant me strength
And then skill spam spam spam, poise break wait for stamina, spam spam spam. Phase 2 heal heal flask, spam spam spam poise break wait spam spam spam...
This weapon is designed for Malenia, blade of Miquella
i have found out what armaments to use for my bleed build. the poleblade with a buckler for parrying and after i go into ng+ im getting another poleblade i just know its gonna be fun

Anonymous"Initial skill use can be followed up with a heavy attack input."
What heavy attack input, it just does a strong heavy attack?
Anonymous
AnonymousBloodblade Dance can be paried? I failed trying everytime, so idk.

AnonymousCurrently at SotE lvl 40 Scadu 3 and this thing is running over all minibosses, provided I dodge correctly, since most fights are 2hits die. Quite challenging to try and find the right moments to L2. Main bosses, on other hand, are better handled by other weapons since the WA is so long and it makes me take more than one hit and die.

Anonymous
AnonymousI remember my first playthrough, and this being my mainstay through everything until radabeast. I used to spam the aow, and keep forgetting I had other buttons on the controller. I look back at it now, and see it as a solid weapon in general, for both bleeding and poise breaking.

Anonymous
AnonymousAxe Talisman, Two Hand Talisman, Rotten Winged Insignia, Blood's Exultation/Fire Scorp = Cracked

AnonymousMade a build around it ages ago, it was good, now I'm better at the game and it ****ing destroys everything

AnonymousIt's EXTREMELY powerful on a full arcane build. Bleed will be near the hundreds and the AoW has INSANE stagger damage for the kind of weapon it is. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

AnonymousIt might already be fairly common knowledge by this point but the "duck" and jumping animations during BB Dance can be used to dodge both horizontal attacks and ground shockwaves respectively.

AnonymousWhy She doesn't spawn in the new game Update???? i'm bugged or what

Anonymous
Anonymousstanding heavy is soooooo bad on this weapon for some reason it takes so much longer than anything else to finish the attack

AnonymousThis weapon is so addicting. I slept on it my first two playthroughs because it didn't fit my build and for my third save (in anticipation for the DLC) is my blood dex character build so this weapon is perfect and seriously fun. Just gonna ride this into SotE.

AnonymousIf you put bloody slash on normal twin blade you have 77 bleed damage

AnonymousBoss: *does anything*
People who use this: "if you ever do that again I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every other wretch who dares to question me! Understood~?"
AnonymousDual wielding this and frost twinblade currently. The jump attack is absolutely broken. Frost and bleed procs every couple seconds. It’s so broken that I think I’m going to change up my build because it’s actually a little boring.

AnonymousFirst playtrough here, mix ARC/FAI with DGS and Crucible set. I Used Reduvia until lvl 120, then got tired and used Bloody Helix, which I found ... meh. Then I tried this and this... is an absolute banger, powerful, fun and fills nicely with a dragon communion build + has a nice combo with charger Aspect of Crucible : Horn.

Anonymous
AnonymousPair this thing with bleed infused godskin peeler. You're welcome.

AnonymousWhoever thought that fixing up two rivers of blood Katanas and then smacking them together with duct tape was a good idea....deserves a raise, this weapon is awesome

Anonymous
AnonymousUseless, weak, can't kill any boss, bad for pvp, tell me one good thing about this weapon, it only has 650 AR at level 350

Anonymous
AnonymousIf you don't care about looks, Bloody Gargoyle's Twinblade has more AR and more bleed.

AnonymousHate the ash of war, love the charged strong attack. Ash of war sends you flying out like a headless chicken, it's too much.

The thing most don't understand with this weapon is twinblades are ass on their own. Their true strength is in how effortlessly talismans and buffs stack with them. You use FGMS, Golden Vow, Lord of Blood's, Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword and Thorny Cracked Tear on this thing and equip Godskin Peeler in the offhand. Spam jump attacks to build multi hit and to proc bleed- this thing goes from 600 to 1700AR and the aow can deal like 8k damage. The jump attacks near 3k. This thing is busted if you build it properly- twinblades require a fully devoted build to them.
