Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.

Melee Users
The Chief Bloodfiend is a boss that can be found at the end of Rivermouth Cave exploration. It can be a tough boss to defeat due to its large size combined with delayed strikes. However, this boss has a proper hitbox and predictable attack patterns which makes the fight more manageable. The Chief Bloodfiend uses a massive club and possesses a large physique, relying on brute strength rather than speed. The optimal strategy for defeating this boss is to counter every attack and retaliate in between combos.
Each of its attacks results in a long recovery period, providing opportunities to counterattack after every move the boss makes. The worry during this fight is its jumping attacks, which cover a wide damage area and can be difficult to avoid if you miss your timing. The Chief Bloodfiend can also inflict Hemorrhage through skills and attacks, but luckily, this boss is weak against Poison, Scarlet Rot, and Frostbite.
At the start of the battle, the Chief Bloodfiend opens the fight with a Plunge Attack where he lands towards you. Then, this is followed closely by 3 Quick Swing Attacks and finishes it off with a delayed swing. Be prepared to roll to the left to evade this opening attack, then do another roll to the left. While you're on this side, you are free to run back toward it and then roll forward for the last delayed swing. Once you've dodged, move in quickly to land a few hits before retreating to a safe distance.
Another move that this boss will make is the Triple Ground Stomp where the boss will stomp the ground for 2 quick steps, and end it with one delayed stomp. To dodge this move, roll to the left in quick succession, and then watch out for the third (delayed) stomp. You can roll forward right before the foot hits the ground so you can get some free hits on the boss. This pattern of dodging and countering is key to reading the Bloodfiend's attacks. Given the boss's slow recovery times, you can take advantage of these moments to do damage.
As the fight goes on, this boss will also pull off moves like Ground Slam attack where the boss jumps up high in the air and crashes on top of you. This can also be combined with a delayed Club Smash. When he's making this move, you will see him raise both hands in the air while clutching the club, and it opens its mouth right before he swings it. The moves are pretty standard and the timing for dodges is as expected.
Overall, the boss gives a simple sequence, and timing your moves correctly will allow you to chip away at the Bloodfiend's health. Always be alert for its stomping attacks and be ready to dodge. By maintaining this rhythm of evasion and counterattack, you'll find that the Chief Bloodfiend, despite its power, is a manageable boss.
Magic and Ranged Users
This boss is susceptible to Rotten Breath. Summon black knife Tiche, and cast Rotten Breath when aggro is on your summon.

AnonymousThe hitbox on the weapon for this boss during some of his overhead slams extends about the width of the splash it makes in the water, which is a large visible gap between the player model and weapon.

AnonymousThere are mob versions found in Rauh Ruins and near Taylew's Forge, both drop 5 sacred bloody fleshes each.

AnonymousWhile he is a bit resistant to bleed, i've managed to obliterate him with Reduvia, Sacred Bloody Flesh, Lord of blood's Exultation, and 40 ARC at scadu level 5. Managed to proc bleed twice before he died, which took like a minute or less.

AnonymousThis guy and the Magma Wyrms when the stand upright during their second phase put your field of view into the most annoyingly wonky camera angles. I understand that zooming out the camera would really be a departure from the immutable camera perspective sekisoulsbournering-likes have made their signature, but it would sure do a lot of quality of life improvement towering bosses like them.

AnonymousNgl camera aside i really enjoy this guy, they really should've zoomed out the camera tho

AnonymousThe page image is hilarious. It looks like he saw a mouse under the bloody waters and freaked out. LOL

AnonymousI thought people might have been exaggerating a bit. But my god, it really is a fight with the camera. Soon after the battle started, all I could see was the inside of his stomache. .-. I was literally rolling for my life to avoid being combo'd to death, while being practically blind. On the upside, he doesn't have a lot of health. So that's nice.

AnonymousThis dlc has some absolute fantastic content, and also some of the most embarrassing dogshit that from software has created. This boss is very much the latter.

AnonymousPower stance frosty great hammers, cragblade them, take the infinite stamina and stance damage tear. Jumping power attacks go brrrrrrr. Works even at RL1 provided you also pop and uplifting aromatic to shield yourself.

Anonymousthis dude's hitboxes are god awful. Combine with the hyper aggression, spamming chain attacks, and wide range of his attacks in smaller arena and his easily one of the shittiest fights for casters. Already beaten him, but man it felt utterly unrewarding to lose one of the best farming spots for dogshit ashes after a dogshit, cheap boss.

AnonymousLocking on in this fight is usually a death sentence. The camera straight up has a grand mal if you try.

AnonymousAll these duo bosses where the other half of the duo is the terrible camera would be fine, if your reward for beating them was a *better* camera.
And if it carried over into ng+, obviously.
AnonymousI didn't summon anything for Rellana, but I mimic teared this boss. Why? Because I have contempt for this creature. That's why.

AnonymousI hate this ****ing boss. He's spammy, awful camera, and his difficulty to interestingness ratio is awful

Anonymous
AnonymousWarning: Killing this boss will not allow you to use the Stake of Marika to respawn next to the blood lake room. This can be a problem if you are trying to farm Sanguine Amaryllis- used to craft the Hefty Fly Pot. This room is the best spot in the game for farming this material. If you kill the boss, you will have to run through most of the dungeon every time to reach this room. However, if you leave the boss alive, you can use the boss to suicide and then respawn literally right inside the blood lake room. It's undeniably much more efficient for farming to leave the boss alive. Given the Hefty Fly Pot is quite a powerful consumable, I recommend not killing this boss (unless obviously if you never use consumables or really want the spirit ashes)
