Ailing Village Walkthrough
In this village, there is a large bonfire in the center where several Frenzied Villagers are found taking on strange poses, covering their flame-tinged eyes. There is a hut in the north where the Flame Crest Wooden Shield can be looted off of a corpse.
Directly south of the village is the ruins of the Callu Baptismal Church where several Frenzied Rats and a Giant Rat can be found. Players can pick up The Flame of Frenzy spell by a pillar on the left. Like most churches, you can find a Sacred Tear towards the front of the church at the foot of the main statue piece.

Anonymousafter a very painful ear infection, i can see myself being in this place

AnonymousSo why was this place overtaken by the Frenzied Flame? There doesn't seem to be a source or reason for it.

AnonymousThere is no Alabaster Lord in the village. The corpse you get the Flame Crest shield from is just a naked model of one the Frenzied Villagers

AnonymousThere is a tree behind the callu church that appears to be swarming with bees/bugs. You can’t interact and it doesn’t appear to do anything. Can anyone else confirm? It is east of the church by the ledge. I left a message by the tree on ps4

AnonymousEnemy placement seems to have changed. In my first playthrough there were a few knights sitting by the fire also. Or am I thinking of another frenzy village?

The interactive map suggests there are 3 patches of 4 x Arteria Leaf here, but I've only been able to find one patch (of 4) just NE of the Callu Baptismal Church, underneath a tree.

AnonymousGame autosaved near the fire in the centre, and now will crash to desktop or restart the PC whenever the loading bar completes. No way to play the game further, anyone else had this issue?

AnonymousDo the villagers drop their garb? Like most humanoid enemies do?

Anonymousthis village can summon i expect boss here but seem like nothing here

Despite the description and top billing on the enemy list, there isn't a single Demi-Human in this place. The only inhabitants are ailing villagers, rats, and a giant rat (that makes all of the rules), all of which are afflicted by the madness-inducing Flame of Frenzy. Speaking of which, the Incantation of the same name is in the church along with a Sacred Tear guarded by the aforementioned giant rat.

AnonymousThere is a sacred tear in the church and the church is also one of the best early game farming places for rune arc.

Had Dragon "Nam" Flashbacks when I saw that fire in middle of town. I was 100% positive a dragon was going to burst through a building any second haha

There's a nomadic merchant nearby, coincidence? I THINK NOT!
