Summer’s here, bringing both the sun and the rainbow with it 🌈 To some, Pride may represent courage or perseverance, but it always represents unity. Throughout June, we’ll be spotlighting members of this community to commemorate the occasion. Kicking us off is Jeff Hogan, Recruitment Coordinator. On top of his TA tasks, Jeff is the current US Anchor for QueerClouders, helping shape SoundCloud’s inclusive culture. Read on to learn how Jeff celebrates ✊ #FacesofSoundCloud

Your scene, and every scene, is here 🎧 It starts in a bedroom at 2 am, a practice session with weak acoustics but great hooks. It’s the demo you weren't sure about, but then became someone’s next obsession. That’s how it was for bunii and kid moon, two artists who met on our platform, and are now defining the next wave of indie. Find your scene and dig deeper on SoundCloud.

This World Refugee Day, we’re excited to partner with SoundCloud for a special community event in Berlin! 💫 This year marks 75 years of the United Nations 1951 Refugee Convention, which established the internationally recognized definition of a refugee, and the right to fundamental rights, including education and work. At Kiron, we see these rights as deeply connected, forming the foundation for people rebuilding their lives in new communities. This year's Refugee Week theme is courage, and we're expanding that to celebrate courage, creativity, and community. We’re especially excited to collaborate with SoundCloud, an artist-first platform that empowers musicians and fans to share and connect through music. 🪩 On June 18th, we're celebrating the courage it takes to step into new spaces and build connections through shared creative passions. Highlights of the evening: • DJ workshop with Femme Bass Mafia (limited availability) • Panel discussion: “Finding your people: courage, creativity, and community after displacement,” with voices from Kiron and SoundCloud • Networking over food and drinks • DJ set by Berlin-based artist ECE 🎶 The event is open to all, but spots are limited! We especially welcome refugees, HR/TA/DEI professionals, and creatives to register your interest: https://lnkd.in/dMPJTnNC Separate registration will follow for the DJ workshop with Femme Bass Mafia, a music and production mentoring program for FLINTA people focused on bass music and creating safe learning spaces. Follow us for updates to secure a spot! 🙌 #WithRefugees #RefugeesWelcome #WorldRefugeeDay #WRD #SoundCloud #KironRefugeeStories #KironWorldRefugeeDay #CourageToLearn

One thing that makes AAPI Heritage Month special is the variety of ways there are to honor it. Throughout the month, SoundClouders banded together to hear from and celebrate with members of this community 🎈 Teams learned from master chefs to make signature dishes, crafted a custom playlist for the occasion, and enjoyed a vibrant rooftop mixer where artists including Khantrast and FIG brought the house down 🙌 Grateful for these moments of unity 🎛️ #AAPIHeritageMonth

Teams grow closer learning from one another, and we’re glad Bindiya Gandhi, CPA, MBA, could tell us a bit about herself in this final AAPI Heritage Month spotlight ☀️ In addition to her role as Director, FP&A Creator, she remains deeply tied to her cultural background. For her, summertime picnics and Diwali celebrations were a cornerstone of family. Bindiya still keeps many of those nostalgic customs alive today, and we got the chance to hear about them 💟 #FacesofSoundCloud

Class is in session ✏️ SoundCloud and the UCLA Anderson School of Management just linked up for a Q&A with a group of rising tech professionals. Members of our Marketing and TA crew sat down to offer career guidance and tips on establishing oneself as an artist in a rapidly evolving music scene. Then, a lively, student-led DJ mixer rounded off the night! Much appreciation to the team and to the university for making this happen 🙏
