Crimson Desert Arrows Overview

Arrows in Crimson Desert work with bows to allow the player to deal ranged damage. The bow that the player uses at any given time affects the damage output, as well as the type of arrow. The game features basic arrows that the player can find scattered around the world, as well as the following special arrows:

• Explosive Arrows

• Sleep Arrows

Contrary to what some players may have been led to believe, there are no proper fire arrows in the game as a consumable type of ammo. Instead, you can interact with the environment. such as a campfire or torch, igniting the basic arrow, and this dealing fire damage to whoever you strike with it.

Basic Arrows (Standard Ammo)

Basic arrows are the most common and easy to find in the world of Crimson Desert. They can often be found near mountain paths or scattered through city streets, making them a common commodity as you play. However, should you ever find yourself short on basic arrows, there are sources that you can use to fill up your stock:

Calphade Siege Armory

Controlled by House Landford, this massive facility focuses on the bulk production of standard arrows for their siege battalions. 

Blacksmiths and Vendors

Another good option to find basic arrows in Crimson Desert is the Hernand blacksmith or vendors across the world.

Special Arrows (Explosive, Poison, Sleep)

Besides the basic arrows listed above, there are special arrows. The first thing to remember is that these arrows are acquired at Supply Depots. These Supply Depots could be locked behind a specific quest progression or simply require you clear the area of hostiles before you can trade with the quartermaster. Explosive Arrows

(AoE Damage)

Ideal for crowd control and direct encounters. Upon impact, they generate Area of Effect (AoE) damage, making them perfect for interrupting bosses' charged attacks.

How to Obtain

Primary Source: Demeniss Armory. To build a substantial arsenal, you must complete the Dispatch Mission at this location; the arrows are granted as mission rewards.

Secondary Source: A limited amount can be purchased from the Back Alley Vendor at Thalwynd, though his stock is rarely enough for sustained combat.

Poison Arrows

(Damage over Time)

The best choice for enemies with large HP pools, applying a debuff that drains health over time.

How to Obtain

World Drops: You can occasionally loot these from Bleed Bandits after defeating them, though the drop rate is inconsistent.

Guaranteed Rewards: Complete Dispatch Missions at Fort Perwin to receive bulk poison munitions.

Crafting: For long-term sustainability, you can craft your own Poison Arrows. You must first purchase the Poison Arrow Recipe from the Back Alley Shop located just outside Hernand City.

Sleep Arrows

(Crowd Control / Stealth)

The ultimate tool for Stealth and high-level crowd control. These arrows are game-changers during difficult encounters, such as the T'ruken boss fight, where making the target unconscious provides a massive tactical window.

How to Obtain

Location: Longleaf Village. You can obtain these arrows directly from the tribe residing there. Be sure to check the local supply depot once you've gained their trust.
