Enemies in Code Vein 2 are hostile creatures that attack the player character and their companions. Enemies take different forms; some of them take the form of a human, and some are humanoid creatures, wherein their forms resemble a human but have the abilities of a monster. Some of the enemies are encountered as a group so they can overwhelm anyone who crosses their path, and you will find other enemies alone, especially the ones that have the abilities of a boss enemy.

Code Vein 2 Enemies Guide
Attacking Enemies in Code VEin 2
Bloodthirst State
Some enemies enter a Bloodthirst State when their health falls below a certain percentage. Bloodthirsty enemies have increased attack power and will focus on attacking the player. When an enemy enters a bloodthirsty state, the white portion of its HP gauge heals completely. When the enemies are in Bloodthirst state, make sure to distance yourself and plan your next attacks, as engaging enemies while in Bloodthirst state can be very dangerous and might kill you instantly.

Bleeding and Drain Attacks on Enemies
Hitting enemies with drain attacks restores. Enemies injured by attacks will suffer from bleed buildup. The greater the buildup, the more Ichor restored from a successful drain attack. Note that bleed will reset after a successful drain attack. Take advantage of this attack so you can easily take down enemies and easily restore your Ichor.

Staggering and Drain Attack on Enemies
Hitting an enemy with successive attacks may put them in a "staggered" state, leaving them vulnerable. You can perform powerful special drain attacks on staggered enemies. The lock-on marker changes to indicate when a special drain attack is possible. Whenever you bring your enemies on staggered state, take advantage of the moment so you can inflict maximum damage on them and take them down in no time.

Back Attacks on Enemies
Attacking an enemy from behind triggers a back attack. Back attacks can easily stagger enemies. Crouching also makes you harder to detect and is useful when approaching enemies from behind. Back Attack is a great way of taking down enemies quickly, as enemies are unable to detect their enemies behind their back.

Guarding Against Enemies in Code Vein 2
Guarding Enemy Attack
Defensive formae, which allow guarding, reduce the strength of enemy attacks taken while activated. Guarding is a very effective maneuver when it comes to defense, which will allow you to lessen or avoid taking damage from enemy attacks. Make sure to equip your defensive forma to allow the guarding maneuver.

Parrying
Use actions capable of parrying in time with an incoming attack to deflect it and break the enemy's stance. Keep in mind. though. that some enemy attacks cannot be parried. In addition to defensive formae, sme combat formae and Jails are capable of parrying. Successful parries with defensive formae like Mutinous Shield consume ichor. They break the enemy's stance even if you have insufficient ichor but deal damage to the player.

Enemy Drops in Code Vein 2
Killing Enemies and Bosses yields different types of drops. Regular enemies randomly drop Consumables and Materials. The Consumables can be used by a Revenant to recover health, gaining temporary and permanent effects, which will help them in improving their overall stats and effectiveness during battle. Materials are a type of item used in upgrading Weapons and your Weapon Formae, which also provide additional stats and bonuses.

For bosses, some of them might drop rarer items and materials. There is a higher chance that killing a boss will drop a Weapon Forma. These Formae are type of modifiers which provide unique or special abilities to weapons. So make sure to always take a look at these drops from the bosses and equip them to weapons that suits them.

Identifying Regular Enemies and Bosses in Code Vein 2
One good way to identify if an enemy is a boss or just a regular one is by looking at their Health Bar. Regular enemies won't show their names when you fight them, while Bosses display their names above their Health Bar. But be extra cautious, as some regular enemies are still deadly and might even possess the same abilities as a true boss.

AnonymousSo what about the enemies that seem to be like puking out some kind of purple mist stuff? Why is there no information on that? What are they? What do they do? What benefit is there to killing them? Are they farmable enemies that drop really good items? What is special about them because there is nothing in the guide about them. Some of them just have a red glowing torso. Others have purple stuff coming out of their face. What does it do? What does it mean?

AnonymousOne of the decayed revenants variants are not at the water treatment plant.

There's so much missing information here: the predators, the meta gem fragments, the orb masks, the phantom enemies and others I don't even remember
I was looking for a location I've been quickly once in the corroded scar, it was the dried bottom of the lake with many respawning metagem enemies (the very big boss you fight with Josée)
