Dungeons in Code Vein 2 are special Locations in the game that act as dungeons. These are not procedurally generated and are populated with enemies and bosses, and can grant special rewards to players for completion. Dungeons are unique zones separated from the overworld. They offer different bosses and item drops inside. Aside from being a challenge zone for players, completing specific dungeons related to quests also progresses the main story in Code Vein 2.

Code Vein 2 Dungeons Guide
What are Dungeons in Code Vein 2?
Dungeons in Code Vein 2 are unique locations in Code Vein 2 that are challenge zones or quest zones designed around combat, exploration, and survival. These Dungeons are separate locations from the open overworld and have their own enemies, items, and bosses to explore. Dungeons in Code Vein 2 may or may not be related to the main story or quests within Code Vein 2. Some Dungeons are for exploration and obtaining items and upgrades that can make you stronger. Additionally, dungeons in Code Vein 2 are handcrafted and are not procedurally generated.

Unlocking Dungeons in Code Vein 2
Not all Dungeons are accessible initially. Some can only be unlocked by progressing through the main story, while some dungeons are accessible on different timelines. An example of this would be the East Bay Underground Ruins at MagMell Island. The Underground Ruin is initially closed during the 2177:Assault on MagMell Era, but becomes accessible after progressing through the main quest.

Dungeon Bosses in Code Vein 2
Each Dungeon will have its own designated Boss. They can be found at the end of the Dungeon inside a veiled room. To start a boss fight, players must enter a veiled room to engage with it. Defeating the Dungeon Bosses will grant you rewards you can use to upgrade your character. Additionally, some quests will require you to defeat a Boss to progress a quest.
Map Jammers in Dungeons in Code Vein 2
Each Dungeon will have a Map Jammer inside. Destroying these Map Jammers will allow you to view the whole layout of the dungeon as well as unlock the map for it. Additionally, destroying the Map Jammers will show you all of the available items you can loot in the Dungeon. While it is generally recommended to prioritize locating the Map Jammers when starting a dungeon, some Map Jammers will only be accessible near the end of a dungeon.

Resurrection Monuments in Dungeons at Code Vein 2
Resurrection Monuments are totems that are found just outside the Boss Areas. These are monuments you can interact with, which act as a revive point whenever you are downed by a boss. These allow you to skip travelling long distances and reach the bosses quickly.

Return Points in Dungeons at Code Vein 2
Once a Boss has been defeated, a Return Totem will appear by the exit door. While they are almost identical to the Resurrection Monuments in terms of design (except for the color), they serve a different function. These totems allow you to travel back to the entrance of a dungeon, essentially skipping the dungeon route.
