🎭 A new home for creativity is taking shape. MSC Cruises has announced a new dedicated centre for entertainment development and performer training. Named the MSC Creative Studios, the new centre located in Edinburgh, Scotland, will support the development of productions across MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys. Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment for MSC Cruise Division, said “Having a dedicated home for our entertainment development and training is essential as we continue to expand the scale and ambition of our productions. This state-of-the-art facility will help ensure our shows are launch-ready and consistently delivered to the highest quality, reinforcing the Cruise Division’s long-term commitment to innovation in onboard entertainment. The success of MSC Yacht Club continues to shape how we evolve our ships 🚢 As demand for our award-winning “ship-within-a-ship” concept continues to grow, we are enhancing the MSC Yacht Club experience, including the introduction of a newly redesigned MSC Yacht Club Restaurant across our Fantasia Class ships. MSC Yacht Club is one of our most highly regarded products, recognised for its elevated service, refined spaces and exclusive facilities. The redesigned restaurant introduces a contemporary and elegant new look to one of the concept’s signature venues on board. This reflects our ongoing investment in modernising our fleet and elevating the guest experience. The first of these upgraded venues is now available on MSC Splendida, following her recent refurbishment at Palumbo Shipyards in Malta. The enhancements will be rolled out across the rest of the Fantasia Class fleet, with MSC Fantasia to be completed in December 2026, followed by MSC Divina in April 2027 and MSC Preziosa in February 2028. 🔗 Discover more in the press release: https://lnkd.in/epPt7x9i #MSCCruises

A special day for our colleagues at Explora Journeys. Congratulations to all the teams and partners involved in marking these important milestones for the future fleet 🚢
Three milestones. One defining moment. At FINCANTIERI’s Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa, we marked a historic day for Explora Journeys - the Float Out of EXPLORA IV, the Coin Ceremony of EXPLORA V, and the Steel Cutting of EXPLORA VI. For the first time, our entire fleet now exists in form - with EXPLORA I and II already sailing, four ships under simultaneous construction and a total of six set to sail by 2028. Rooted in maritime tradition yet guided by quiet ambition, this triple ceremony reflects the craftsmanship, precision and vision shaping our next chapter. From the first cut of steel to the moment a vessel meets the ocean, each milestone moves our Ocean State of Mind from vision into reality. The Coin Ceremony of EXPLORA V was honoured by two godmothers: Captain Serena Melani and Alice Gallo from Fincantieri. A legacy unfolding. A future already taking shape. Today in Madeira, at the CLIA European Summit, our Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago spoke about the future of Europe’s maritime and tourism ecosystem. His message was clear: For the first time the industry’s strategic value has been recognised by the European Commission and now is the time for the whole industry to work together to secure future growth. Its future will be shaped not by any single actor, but by partnerships between industry, institutions, ports, destinations and communities. During his speech key areas were highlighted that demonstrated the strength and opportunities of the European cruise industry. European shipyards are not simply part of our value chain; they are strategic assets. Today, around 98% of the world’s cruise fleet is built in European yards. With 76 ships currently on order, cruise lines are set to invest more than €77 billion in European shipbuilding over the next decade. This investment supports tens of thousands of highly skilled jobs and reinforcing Europe’s leadership in naval engineering and green technology. Decarbonisation remains central to this progress. In 2025 alone, more than 20 cruise ships entered service with multi-fuel engines, capable of operating on future low- and zero-carbon fuels. Alternative fuels are no longer theoretical; they are being deployed. Ports, too, are key to this transformation. They must increasingly function as energy hubs, equipped with shore power, grid connectivity and new bunkering infrastructure. And when it comes to tourism, perception matters. Cruise represents less than 3% of global tourism but is the best example of managed tourism in the world. The industry plans years in advance. It coordinates closely with ports and destinations and therefore manages flows predictably and responsibly. The infrastructure and operations are designed to integrate seamlessly with the destinations that are served. This level of predictability is precisely what allows cruise tourism to be managed, rather than restricted. The future of cruising will be shaped by partnership — between industry, institutions, ports and destinations — strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and maritime leadership. #MSCCruises CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association
