WestJet’s recent cyber incident impacted both internal systems and its MOBILE APP. While operations weren’t disrupted, the breach highlights a critical issue: MOBILE APPS ARE NOW HIGH-VALUE TARGETS. They access, store and process personal data, payment data, loyalty credentials, and connect to backend systems making them a soft entry point if not properly secured.
